So I didn’t like this volume as much as the first one. It’s still hot, more so in an erotica sense, less so in a romantic sense. I didn’t care for the leads all that much. Though both totally capable, I just didn’t find them likeable at all.

There is tons more back stabbing, betrayal and kink here. While the 1st book was just a toe into dark waters, this one was much more of a dive in. The world building and writing was still on point, my personal preferences just didn’t jive here.
