A much-needed book in this time of the uncertainty of the rights of the LGBTQ community and Transgender especially. Stephanie's journey is inspiring, and sheds light not only on the transition she went through, but how men and women are treated differently in corporate America!

I really enjoyed reading this book it was good to read things from the author's point of view on how things were handled, after watching Disclosure on Netflix I wanted to learn more and discover more about the way things are handled and how they change depending on how society sees you

4* This made me sad that the author wasn't born later, when perhaps things might have been easier for her.

This is a hard book to read in parts and made me sad for the person Stephanie was born as - I apologise if this terminology is incorrect, but here I'm trying to explain that I am glad she's become who she was meant to be, but sorry that she had it so hard because of when she was born, and who she was determined as being.

I found the tale at times uplifting, but for the most, I struggled with how self destructive Stephanie was in her journey, but that's not apportioning blame in any way. Clearly, she faced guilt, emotions, family relationships, personal relationships and herself straddling two line, without any help for the most, that I cannot fathom, not being in her shoes. But, I couldn't help but wish she'd been born later, as I know a few trans people who've successfully transitioned, and one who transitioned but has detransitioned, when he found that his mental health was worse once he'd transitioned - at least nowadays, for the most, people have had the resources to help them, which Stephanie didn't. I'm glad that she found herself before it was too late, and that she found supportive and inclusive employers like my own. I'm glad, too, that inner-Stephanie was loud enough and strong enough to pursue her journey against everything, and I find it uplifting that she did not consider herself too old to transition when she did. I hope that this gives hope to her audience.

Stephanie Battaglino has woven a powerful and inspiring story, spanning everything from corporate culture, to self-discovery, to gender politics, to indispensable professional advice. With a unique and relatable voice, Stephanie seamlessly guides readers between humor, honesty, and hope. As a cisgender woman, I found “Reflections from Both Sides of the Glass Ceiling” immensely illuminating and insightful. But make no mistake: this book will universally resonate with anyone who has felt like an outsider in corporate America—regardless of gender identity.
