This was absolutely adorable. Mochi was such an amazing character and the dialogue and thoughts and the art style definitely added to the story! Thank You Gemma for writing such an amazing story.

This book is perfect for everyone who is in love with Gemma's instagram page. Definitely going to get my hands on it once it comes out. It was hilarious and heart warming, perfect for comic book and dog lovers, or for fans of comics such as Cat's Café and Catana Comics!

Though she had her heart set on a black pug, with Mochi it was love at first sight. LIVING WITH MOCHI is a cartoon chronicle of Gené's adventures with Mochi, from puppy- to adulthood.

The result is about as adorable as you'd expect: I mean pugs, amirite? So many rolls! And those round, squeezable butts! Mochi is a total mama's boy who loves to eat, prefers humans to dogs, and likes to be carried on his walks.

If you've ever given your heart to a dog to tear (it's an amazing poem written by a terrible person, look it up!), you'll find so much to relate to: voluntarily giving up your blankets (and your bed space) to ensure your dog kid's comfort; working yourself into hysterical panic over every little symptom; or laying your head on a mysteriously wet pillow.

I had to knock a star off since I'm 99% sure Gené acquired Mochi from a breeder (they traveled two hours to look at pug puppies - you do the math). When approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized in the US annually, it's just unconscionable to buy a dog.

(To be fair, Gené is from Barcelona; and, while I was unable to find euthanasia statistics for Spain, animal abandonment and the unchecked breeding and killing of hunting dogs are both areas of concern.)

This is such a fun book! I love pugs and this comic was so cute, it made me want one of my own even more! Even though the writer’s pug would puke and mess everything up, it was so cute!

I absolutely loved this! Not only is the art style so so cute, it also was such a light story to read.
We follow the adoption of Mochi and his stories with his owners and the areas around him and let me tell you that it was just so adorable, I love how the dog is called Mochi, I think that's such a cute name for a dog and if I had to name my dog it would probably be that too haha. I loved the art style it was so clean and fun to read and everything was clear from beginning to end,

I would like to read more from this author in the future and I definitely recommend reading this comic and I hope more people get to enjoy it

Do I plan on ordering a copy for my pug-loving friend? Yes,

This book is incredibly relatable to most pet owners, Reading this while I was away from home made me homesick to be with them in all honesty read with fur friends present to enjoy to fullest extent.

If you like cute, funny, relatable comics about being a pet parent, this comic will meet and excede those needs.


There is a particular comic where Mochi is trying to convince a sitter that they eat strictly human food and it gave me flashback to my cats carrying whole loaves of bread and freshly backed biscuits away to be eatten in secret. But when you actually try to go to the effort of making them something nice they stick their noses up at you.

The art style is very cute. Though I have a cat and not a dog, I found most of the comics very relatable. However, some of them seemed repetitive, while I found that others were just not funny. Overall, I enjoyed the comic

I don't have a dog, but I do have two cats, and I could relate to many of these Mochi situations.
Cute, lovable drawings about life as a pet owner, this book would be enjoyed by many animal lovers, primarily those who share their houses with them.

This book is very cute and funny. It reminds me a lot of Garfield in that it’s about daily life with a sassy pet, though Garfield is more anthropomorphized. The art is adorable. The book is a collection of individual comic strips. Unfortunately, as is common with such collections, I found it repetitive and boring after a while as the same scenarios and jokes were repeated over and over again.

This book was so much fun! Mochi is a riot and his family's struggles with him are so relatable. The art style is simple but cute and it conveyed the story perfectly. I really enjoyed this story.

Mochi does not like being on a diet and nether do I. Very relatable dog. This is such a cute book! I love the art style, and honestly I relate to every panel. Mochi reminds me of my cats so much, I guess all animal lovers are doomed to never be able to sleep without our pets sitting on our heads!

From the perspective of someone who teaches English as a second language, this is a great book to recommend to learners. A very universal concept, fairly simple language in an easy to read typeface, lots of visual cues, and good practice for things like prepositions etc.

This is a very sweet little book about the authors relationship with her pug, Mochi. As an animal and dog owner myself, many of the strips made me smile, and think *so and so does that too*
It was a lovely, nostalgic escape from the world, if only for a very short time.
As these type of books go, at 200+ pages I wasn't disappointed.

This was so adorable! I have seen a couple of the Mochi comics online so I was super excited to see this book on Netgalley and swiped it up as fast as possible. It is just a bunch of super cute little one page day-in-the-life of the most spoiled little pug ever. If you are looking for a super quick happy little pick me up this is the one to try.

This was a delightful read that I would highly recommend. Any pet parent would easily relate and enjoy this graphic novel.

This was a super cute comic chronicle about the pug Mochi. I felt it was very relatable at times, and I can think of plenty of my dog-owner friends or dog lovers who would love to receive this cute book. The thing which made me laugh often was the fact that the pug knew he could get away with everything, since he was so loved. It just made my head shake with a smirk on my face.

The book is divided up into chapters, however I think that kinda made it a bit obvious for me how short the book was. I think that's my only downside. I know with these comic collections they tend to sometimes be a tad short, which is fine, but with the division in chapters it made it feel even shorter. However, it was not that annoying and I still loved it regardless. I think that's why it's a 4/5 and not a 5/5.

Living with Mochi, out on April 6th, is a fun comic in which author and artist Gemma Gené shows her life with beloved dog Mochi.
Every dog and pet owner will enjoy this book, seeing in Mochi and his behaviour their own pet and reliving the joys and sometimes the struggles of life with a furry friend.
As this comic shows, pets are a big responsibility and can also be a challenge, but they certainly bring a lot of love, fun and joy into our lives.

I found this book very cute, the life of a dog from his point of view, it had me laughing, just a fun feel book.

A cute collection of webcomics, a little repetitive (there's one dog, and we all have those kinds of dog stories) but well told and organized. A great coffee table book.

This is a super adorable and hilarious little comic book. I love books like this because they make for a quick, relatable read that makes me laugh. Anybody who has a dog or another similar pet will definitely enjoy "experiencing" Mochi's shenanigans. The artwork is cute and lends itself well to this type of story telling. I'd definitely read more about Mochi's adventures!

It was one of the cutest comic books about dogs. "Living With Mochi' shows how adorable and manic dogs can be in general. Mochi is such a chaos at times but that is shown from a humorous point of view since the owner spoils him so much. How the owner treats Mochi like a little baby is probably really relatable. It is a very quick and cute short read. If you are in need of cuteness overload, it is the perfect comic book.
