This is a Cowboy Romance with a fake marriage, and this is the second book in the Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws Book series. Cash and Brianna is the main characters in this book, and I have to say I loved their characters. Cash's mother which he did not know just died, and he is trying to figured out what to do with the ranch she left behind. I love this book for the first page, and I did not want to put it down. Since, Today is an icy and rain day this was a great day to just lay in bed and read a book. I am glad I pick this book up. This was a short and quick read, and I cannot wait for the next book in this series to come out. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Desire) or author (Brenda Jackson) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

So the premise of this book is a bit bonkers. It reminds me a little of Lush Money by Angelina Lopez. Cash Outlaw has inherited almost all of his late mother’s Wyoming ranch with the exception of 50 acres willed the woman who cared for her. Brianna Banks negotiates with Cash Outlaw by agreeing to sell her mother's land in exchange for him helping her to become pregnant, something he is willing to do if she is willing to marry him.

It's a lot but in Brenda Jackson's hands, you can't go wrong. The characters are well-drawn, especially their motivations. This novel is an excellent example of the layering of tropes, in this case, a baby and fake relationship, but there is real feeling between these two characters an you buy into their relationship. Also the black moment isn't as much a breakup as an obstacle for both characters to overcome, which was refreshing and made for a pleasurable read. As with all of Brenda Jackson's books, I highly recommend it.

I received this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

The Marriage He Demands is part of the new series Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws and is Book 2.

Cashen-Cash Outlaw is a devilishly handsome business man. I enjoyed getting to know Cash on his own. As is with all the Outlaw boys they are all captivating. Cash is a power player so when there is something he wants, he strides to achieve it even the matters of the heart.

Brianna Banks is a brilliant business woman, a true beauty and a woman who is done giving heart and dreams to a man. Now she is taking her future in her hands to reach her goals she set the night with her dad. Enter Cashen Outlaw.

Brianna and Cash from the first moments in meeting the air was with a electrical charge. I enjoyed watching these characters grow in many ways. Brianna has a offer for Cash. Cash has a counter offer for Brianna will she except it, or will they part ways?

I have missed these supporting characters it was so nice to revisit them, even grumpy Bart Outlaw. Will Bart ever change? Ms. Jackson never disappoints with every character she pens, they are so full of life. The description of the land is done beautiful. Black Crow, Wyoming is becoming a place I hope Ms. Jackson visits again.

Brianna and Cash was a fun time. Their romance was too insta-lovey for me, but I let it go to enjoy the story. I get Brianna’s reasons for loving Cash, but Cash reason was lust only.

I always get warm tingles when the family gets together. The Westmoreland and friends coming to Wyoming to scope out the ranch with the Outlaw brothers was wonderful. I love revisiting them.

That Dad was an arrogant menace. A small town western romance set in Wyoming on a large ranch owned by black people is a book I needed to read.

Quick unedited thoughts. Highly recommend👍🏽

The legendary Brenda Jackson is back with another red-hot romance her legion of fans will devour in a single sitting: The Marriage He Demands.

Businessman Cash Outlaw hasn’t become hugely successful by letting sentiment and emotion interfere with his decisions in the boardroom. Cool, calm and always collected, Cash’s success is a result of hard work, impeccable business skills and stellar decision-making. When he inherits almost all of his late mother’s ranch in Wyoming, Cash is determined to have the entire property in his possession. However, there is somebody standing in the way of his fifty acres: the beautiful Brianna Banks, who makes it clear from the off that she will only sell the property if he gives her the one thing she covets which only he can give her: a baby!

Cash is initially taken aback by Brianna’s proposition, but he is willing to do whatever it takes for his property – even if it means becoming a father! Cash will acquiesce to Brianna’s demand, but he has a counteroffer which simply isn’t negotiable: he will give her the baby she wants, but only if she consents to becoming his wife! Cash makes it clear that theirs will be a marriage of convenience in name only for the sake of their baby, but when red-hot passion gives way to a love that simply cannot be denied, Cash and Brianna realise that their practical arrangement could lead to everlasting love – but only if they face up to their feelings for one another…

The Marriage He Demands is another stellar contemporary romance by one of the queens of the genres: Brenda Jackson. A sensuous, poignant and irresistible tale where each page sizzles, in The Marriage He Demands, readers are sure to fall in love with gorgeous Cash and cheer on the wonderful Brianna.

A captivating romantic read, Brenda Jackson hits it out of the park yet again with The Marriage He Demands.

Cash Outlaw has something he wants. Brianna Banks has something she wants. Each has the very thing the other needs. With a very good reason, Cash needs an additional fifty acres to make the land he inherited complete. Brianna wants a baby. Having not been satisfied with her sperm bank research and potential donors, Cash is the perfect solution for Brianna, especially when he appeals to her for a business deal. The fact that he is easy on the eyes doesn't hurt either.

The acreage does not mean all that much to Brianna, but she won't simply sell it. Already quite drawn to Cash, she thinks things could work out perfectly Cash is a business man, a man with principles. He will make the deal with Brianna, but with one caveat - marriage. It could even be in name only, but he cannot imagine fathering a baby in what might seem to be a cold, calculated deal. Cash's circumstances come to a surprise to him, as he had been estranged from his mother. Now that he has inherited the ranch, he hopes to expand it, but cannot do so without the rest of the property. When he meets Brianna sparks fly, and her proposition gives him plenty of ideas and visuals.

I am loving this series by Brenda Jackson! In the first book of this engaging series, The Wife He Needs, we met Garth, Cash's cousin, and he also offered a marriage of convenience. I love that this series follows that theme with this book, The Marriage He Demands. The trope is handled quite well, making for a delightful read that really connected me to both characters. This was a quick, satisfying read that I could not put down. I am most definitely looking forward to the third book in the series.

Many thanks to Harlequin Desire and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Cashen Outlaw has just found out about his mother's passing. He hasn't seen the woman most of his life. When he is called to Wyoming for the reading of her will, he already knows there is nothing of hers that he wants. When he arrives in Wyoming, Brianna Banks is the first thing he sees and she is all he can think about from that point on. When she is at the reading of the will Cash has to find out what her connection is to his mother. He hopes she's not a sister.

Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I love Brenda Jackson's books. They are short and sweet with a lot of heat. When you first meet Cash Outlaw, he seems a little bit of an asshole. As we get to know him, we learn where those tendencies come from and he gets a little more loveable. I love to see the relationship between him and Brianna. She knows a bit more about him than he knows about her, but that isn't his fault. He always thought his mother didn't want him, but he will soon learn the truth.

If you're looking for a short romance novel, this is the one.

Fans of the Outlaws and the Westmorelands will love Brenda Jackson's The Marriage He Demands, a fast paced, love at first sight (on separate occasions!) marriage of convenience romance set in rural Wyoming.

The second Outlaw sibling’s story that the prolific Brenda Jackson offers up features Cashen Outlaw, son of Ellen and Bart Outlaw (Bart’s third wife). When the story opens, Cash, as he is called, has received word that his mother, Ellen has died. As faithful readers have discovered, the Outlaws are a close-knit motley crew composed of five brothers and one sister, each with different mothers. Their home is Fairbanks, Alaska, and they run a multimillion-dollar company, Outlaw Freight Lines. Also, they are the newly found look-alike cousins of the famed Westmoreland Clan. Cash finds himself in an uncomfortable position as the heir of his deceased mother’s estate. Uncomfortable, because Cash, like his brothers, was raised by his father, Bart, with no relationship with his mother.
I like the storyline that flawlessly incorporates a couple of tropes that hit on Baby makes three and Arranged marriage themes. You’ll get it when you read the story. When Cash arrives in the close-knit town where his mother lived, Black Crow, Wyoming, his attention is drawn to a beautiful woman whom he has an instant erotic fantasy about. Enter Brianna Banks, the heroine, who enjoyed a close relationship with Cash’s mother. Brianna and Cash both are recipients of Ellen’s generosity and hard work, as outlined in her will. The chemistry is obvious when they officially meet, and it’s on and popping.
One of the highlights of the story occurs when the Outlaw siblings, a bunch of Westmorelands, a couple of Westmoreland friends, and in-law, McKinnon Quinn all meet together at the Blazing Frontier ranch.. THE MARRIAGE HE DEMANDS is an entertaining story that I recommend for your reading pleasure. In the meantime, you can also read Garth Outlaw’s story, THE WIFE HE NEEDS, which is the first book of the series.

Brenda Jackson really ushered me back on the Outlaw train because Garth literally made me take a swift exit. Cash is refreshing and not so pigheaded. I like that about him. Cash received news that his estranged mother passed left him in her will. Traveling to Wyoming he developed an instant attraction to a woman eating ice- cream on the street. Things became interesting when the woman, Brooke, is at the reading of this mother’s will and will share property with him. I enjoyed this book. Yes, it was predicable and reminded me of the Westmoreland novel “ The Proposal” but it didn’t take away from the story being sweet, cute and very low angst. Cash decided to keep the ranch, but he needed something from Brooke. Brooke took that opportunity to get what she wanted most from Cash. Whew! I was like what now? I did loved that Cash didn’t fight his feelings for Brooke. He wanted her from the beginning and definitely made it known. He did what he had to do to get the cookie. They had good chemistry in and out of the bedroom. Brenda Jackson has a formula of sometimes making her Heroines inexperience in the bedroom and I wish she would stop it. Anyway, back on track. I enjoyed meeting up with the Westmoreland gang. Their family dynamics is a definite favorite for me. Even though I enjoyed this story, many scenes in this book weren’t fleshed out enough for me. I especially wanted to see Cash and Bart’s conversation about his overstepping on the pages. I needed to see Cash put his feet down when it came to Bart's interference with his marriage and his relationship with his mother. Overall, it is a smooth read with an enjoyable plot. I like this addition to the outlaw series.

This was a easy read, not a whole lot of drama between Cash and Briana even though Ms. Jackson tried to slip us up towards the end but thank goodness, she didn't draw it out. I'm a bit upset that we didn't get more on the way Cash dealt with his mother's death. Like I know, he didn't have a relationship with her but still, that felt just a tad strange. I also felt like Bart interfering was too quickly glossed over and why didn't Cash get on him about keeping his mother away from him?

All and all, this is a good read and I'm not mad at it.

As a long-time fan of Brenda Jackson, I jumped at the chance to read and review The Marriage He Demands, the second book in the Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaw Series. The author delivered an angst free and fun marriage of convenience story.

Cash and Brianna’s paths crossed when Cash went to the reading of his mother’s will. Now Cash never had a relationship with his mother, so one can imagine his surprise to learn he was her main beneficiary. He had no interest in keeping the property he inherited, but meeting Brianna had him reconsidering his original stance. (Brianna was also a beneficiary in the will.) Then his relatives convinced him he should keep the property, but to make it a success he needed to buy Brianna’s portion of the inheritance. He made the offer to Brianna, who agreed to give him the property at no financial cost but on one condition. He gives her his sperm. The events became more interesting when Cash made a counter-offer. To find out how interesting you need to read it for yourself.

A quick and easy read, which I read in one sitting. I enjoyed the interactions between Cash and Brian, passionate, sweet and fun. Brianna gave upon on love, but Cash rekindled her faith. These two were awesome together, and I had fun getting to know them. Meeting Cash’s brothers proved entertaining. I am not a fan of his father, who was revealed as controlling and manipulative individual.

I enjoyed the ending. It made me happy to see Cash gain closure regarding his mother. Such a pity it took her dying and he being her beneficiary for him to learn the truth.

A note of warning to readers who dislike insta-love connections, The Marriage He Demands has it in spades so you many want to avoid this one, but if you have no problems with it, then I recommend you add to your reading pile.

Overall, a satisfying read. I am looking forward to continue the series.

When Cash gets a call from his mother’s lawyer advising that she is passed away no one was more surprised than he to find out that there was a lot more to the emotional distance between them than he believed and that he has inherited her ranch. He has no interest in keeping the land until he meets Brianna, who inherited 100 acres of the ranch.

Brianna loved Cash’s mother and she was a huge part of her life as not only had her father worked for him until he passed away, but she was working for her as well. She wants to show Cash the possibilities that the land holds as either a horse ranch or a dude ranch rather than selling the lands to someone who wouldn’t appreciate it. They both have something the other wants however Cash won’t agree to it without marriage and that is when the fun really begins.

There was no denying the chemistry between them, but it was the swoony way that Cash wanted to show Brianna that this wasn’t an arrangement but forever that made their romance so heartwarming.

Good book. Another Outlaw/Westmoreland bites the dust. Part of the Alaska Outlaw branch of the Westmoreland family, Cash never knew his mother. His father, Bart, a ruthless and manipulative man, refused to allow his wives any custody of his children after they divorced - and they always divorced. He also refused to allow them to have contact with their children. While growing up, Cash believed that his mother abandoned him and never tried to contact him, so he was surprised to be called to hear her will after she died. He certainly didn't expect to inherit her vast dude ranch, minus 100 acres left to her former caretaker, Brianna.

Brianna loved Ms. Ellen. She grew up on the ranch where her father had been the foreman and took over when he died. Learning of her inheritance was a relief for her because it meant she had a home that was all hers. After an earlier heartbreak, Brianna doesn't intend to marry, but she wants a baby. Now she can continue her plans.

I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Cash and Brianna. Brianna intrigued and attracted Cash from the moment he saw her. Brianna had crushed on Cash since she saw his picture years earlier, and meeting him in person increased the feeling. Cash initially intends to sell the ranch as soon as possible, as he neither needs nor wants it. However, Brianna is equally determined to convince him to keep it. Her efforts gain traction when his brother suggests he and their brothers and cousins might want to invest. Cash, who can't stop thinking about Brianna, invites his family members to the ranch to see it. He also plans to spend an extended time on the ranch and get to know Brianna better.

I liked Cash a lot. He's confident but not arrogant, and he spends a great deal of time with Brianna. He listens to what she says and gives her the respect she deserves. As they work together, going through his mother's effects, the sparks between them continue to build. When his decision about the ranch requires him to purchase the land closest to the river, Brianna offers him a bargain - she'll sell him the land if he provides the sperm for her artificial insemination. Because of the situation with his mother, Cash insists on marriage and being involved with his child.

I liked Brianna, too. She fell hard for Cash. I liked how she wants Cash to understand what happened with his mother but doesn't want to push too hard. I loved that she pushed back on his offer to buy her land with requirements of her own, though his demand for marriage surprised her.

I enjoyed watching Cash in the time leading up to the wedding. He threw himself into doing everything possible to make the day perfect for Brianna. He's thoughtful and sweet and gives the impression that it's not just attraction that motivates him. I loved watching the connection between them deepen after the wedding. But trouble rears its head when Bart's interference comes between Cash and Brianna. Cash's fury vibrated off the pages, and Brianna's hurt and anger were right there with it.

I loved the ending and seeing Cash fight for Brianna. I also loved the confrontation between Cash and Bart, who still believes he's always right. There is also a reminder that none of the Outlaws knows why Bart refuses to admit their connection to the Westmorelands. I'm looking forward to the answer to that question. The epilogue was a terrific wrap-up for the book.

I like the importance of family to the Outlaws and the Westmorelands. Cash counts on his brothers for their honest opinions about the ranch, and they don't let him down. The same goes for the cousins who also came along. I liked the cameo appearances by characters from previous books.

Sometimes you just need a low angst cowboy romance to get lost in. The Marriage He Demands was just what I needed for a bit of escapism in an otherwise stressful week. Cash and Brianna are likable and their romance is fun and engaging. This book is the second in the Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws series, but it definitely stands alone. If you require a lot of drama and turmoil in your romances, you aren't going to find that here, but if you're in the mood for some lighter romantic entertainment, this is the way to go.

THE MARRIAGE HE DEMANDS is the second book in the WESTMORELAND LEGACY: THE OUTLAWS series, but I believe the title is a misnomer since I don’t believe Cash demanded they get married (although Brianna thought he did). They had chemistry before they met, and you’ll have to read the book to see how that happens!

The book was a quick read with a lot of returning characters from Cash’s family and extended family, though this book can easily be read as a standalone. Cash and Brianna meet after his mother, a woman he had no relationship with, dies and he’s called to the reading of the will. What will he do with his inheritance? Since Brianna lives nearby, it could have a major effect on her life and the town.

There’s a nice flow to the story, along with a few twists to keep it interesting. The story takes place in a small town with beautiful descriptions of the land. I liked how well the characters got to know each other in such a short amount of time. Brianna is still mending a broken heart, and Cash seems the perfect person to help her get over that loss.

There’s wonderful closure at the end, along with a happily ever after that had me swooning. Cash definitely sets the bar high when it comes to love. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Ms. Jackson is a wonderful author, and I can’t wait to delve into more of her stories.

If you are finding yourself overcome with wanderlust, then do I have the book for you! Set in the gorgeous wilds of Wyoming, The Marriage He Demands will transport you to the romance and beauty of the Blazing Frontier Ranch. Amongst the apple orchards and mountains, a family’s legacy will lead two people to discover the real treasure the property holds is the beginning of their life-long love. I spent a gloomy and rainy afternoon swept away by the beauty of the scenery as well as the decadence of the private planes, lavish hotels, and the luxury that deep pockets can bring. I fell in love with the secretly romantic Cash Outlaw and his quest to make the love-shy and independent Brianna Banks fall head over heels for him. This is a beautiful and incredibly sweet love story that is full of family love, long held secrets, and hidden desires.

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read and review this title. All opinions and mistakes are my own.

Brenda Jackson takes us to Wyoming to tell this latest installment of the Outlaw and Westmoreland men. Cash Outlaw has learned he has inherited his late mother's ranch except for fifty acres that was left to Brianna Banks, the caretaker. Cash needs use of her land and when he approaches her, she agrees to his proposition by adding one of her own: a baby. But then Cash counters with an intriguing proposition of his own.
I am enjoying the series centered around the Outlaws. I think Brianna and Cash's story was sweet and I can't wait to read more in this series;
