I need this whole book ASAP!!!

This sampler does not start where expected but it definitely carries you away back into the Grishaverse VERY quickly!

Bardugo has got such a strong, complex cast of characters in this duology and I can't wait to hear the rest of their story.

Brilliant.

An intriguing sampler that really pulls you in! While I had hoped that I would finish the earlier Grishaverse books before this one came out, I couldn't help myself with this sneak peek. The teaser - the whole book, really - is going to be draw in Grishaverse fans as well as readers new to Leigh Bardugo's work alike.

Only 3 chapters long but they're enough to set the mood and hype for the book release.
I missed these characters so much and I get wait to read the full conclusion to this duology.

Amazing sampler, that I really enjoyed! The story is gearing up for an intense conclusion, and I'm just hoping no one is going to die!

The story continues with Nina and Hanne, who are immersing themselves into even more danger by hiding their true intentions from Hanne's father, and I'm hoping these two get together by the end of this book. A new character is introduced from the nation of Shu Han, which is refreshing because of the serious lack of characters we've had from this place. And Nikolai and Zoya are confusing as ever, especially since Zoya seems to be really changed by her experience from the last book, and Nikolai is still batting his demons (see what I did there?)

I personally can't wait to read the rest of this book, and I fully recommend it to everyone waiting for this after loving King Of Scars!

I am very excited about the full book. Though, I think this one will have a slow start, and I saw this within this excerpt.

Richly detailed and filled with enough background that readers don't need to have read Bardgo's earlier books in this series, Rule of Wolves promises another excellent novel of magic and war and intrigue and lore. I'm looking forward to the whole thing.

ONLY THREE CHAPTERS????
My life will no longer make sense until this book comes out and maybe beyond!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC sampler.

Within a few chapters, we see war and intrigue stirring. The characterization is gripping, and so much is already at stake. Kingdoms! Love! Betrayal! Who will end up on top? I really can't guess.

This promises to be an adventurous and thrilling book, and I'm excited to read more. If you're a fan of Leigh Bardugo, this something you're going to want to read.

A worthy continuation of the Grishaverse series, this sampler from Rule of Wolves sets up a tense, adventurous conflict for a familiar cast of heroes and villains.
Leigh Bardugo’s world building is incredibly lengthy and detailed, but invitingly so. Political intrigue and a mysterious blight set up a strong first act; the author does a thorough but not heavy-handed introduction to the ensemble cast of characters so new or unfamiliar readers can catch up on events.
The real strength of the writing lies in the relationships of the characters in this ensemble piece, and the details and motivations of those characters as the plot slowly unwinds.

Recommended for: Fans of the Grishaverse, people who like politics and war with their fantasy

While I've only read the sampler of this book, between what I read and my experience with Leigh Bardugo, I am confident this will be a 5-star book. The chapters included in the sampler promise an epic conclusion to the Grishaverse. Already, you can see the pieces moving into place for an incredible setup of conflict and adventure for these characters we love. I can not wait to get my hands on a full copy!

I cannot WAIT for this to come out--it's been too long since we've seen Nikolai. As always, Bardugo's ability to pull you in immediately with a good story and her wonderful characters remains true. Her wit and humor constantly come out through Nikolai and Zoya's banter and I can't wait to see what's in store for them next.

Leigh Bardugo really knows how to put a cliffhanger. The first three chapters were so beautiful written and perfect to settle the plot of this second book. I'm excited and scared to see what's gonna happen in this second one.
