A well-plotted mystery with surprising twists and turns.

When Sarah Blair’s friend Grace is accused of killing her department chair at the college, Sarah rushes to investigate. Meanwhile, business rivalries ramp into overdrive, Sarah has a romantic quandary, and pets Rah Rah and Fluffy steal every scene. What more could you ask for?

I received this ARC through NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

While I thought the story interesting, I found myself struggling to get through the entire book. I just can't find a connection to Sarah or her sister Emily. Unfortunately for me, this is the last book I will be reading in the series.

Grace has been given an adjunct professor position teaching knife skills at her old alma mater. She asks Sarah to meet her at the school and is delayed. Luckily Sarah waited a little longer and they met up. Too bad for the newest hire at the college, as they find him dead in Grace’s classroom after a blow up they had earlier.

With Grace as the prime suspect with the victim’s blood on her, the police chief thinks he has things wrapped up. But Sarah knows Grace is innocent and now she has to prove it, even if she did promise her family and friends that she would stay out of investigating. Now Sarah has to hope she can find the killer before the timer runs out and her goose is flayed and cooked.

A really enjoyable series that has recipes with each book. Seeing a young woman who had been beaten down a bit by life coming back to herself and working to get ahead is wonderful protagonist for a series. With a cast of supporting characters that add to the mix and a solid whodunit, this is a series that any cozy lover will enjoy and should add to their to be read list.
