I loved this visit back into Kate Pearce's Morgantown. I really enjoy Rebecca Zanetti and was so excited to get to read this one of hers as well. Lone Wolf was a fun trio of cowboy romance and I enjoyed it so much. It makes me excited to dive back into some of these authors other books!

This anthology about a cowboy type hero with a pet wolf and heroine in need of some help was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Zanetti was the only one of the three I had previously read. the 1st story by Palmer did not work for me at all. not the characters (both had characteristics that quickly had me disliking them instead), the plot or writing style (quickly felt repetitive and boring which is not good for a novella). the 2nd story (by Pearce) was better, with a nicely paced story and characters. I enjoyed the interactions of the H/H as they learned about each other and themselves as well. I was left satisfied and may consider reading more by this author. The last story was my favorite. Zanetti's story had lots of intrigue - not just in the plot but in the characters as well. while the hero and story was a little "over the top" at times, it was also nicely offset by some bits of humor and the relationship we got glimpses of between the hero and his "brothers". this story felt a bit like a potential series starters and if it is, I'd definitely be willing to read more. as a whole the book moved from "no thanks" to "yes" to "more please" -- a mixed bag.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed all three stories. They were well-written plot was entertaining. Palmer is an excellent writer and sweetness of Esther’s romance with Butch was heartwarming. I really enjoyed how their relationship progressed.
Pearce was a new author for me but I was impressed. Her characters had chemistry and I enjoyed how Beth was able to connect emotionally with Connor. Zanetti is one of my favorite authors and she did not disappoint with Trent and Hallie. There was humor and romance and suspense, everything you need for a perfect read.
Overall, I highly recommend this book.

The writing styles and character building are vastly different in the three novellas included in this assembly. All will have you wanting to take a trip to a quieter time, preferably one with cowboys. Living vicariously through these stories was fun and inspiring. All will have readers wanting to read more.

I didn’t like the Diane Palmer story. It has been awhile since I enjoyed anything by her . Kate was a new tome author and I enjoyed the story. I love Ms Zanetti so that was my favorite story and am hoping it is beginning of a series

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion. I am always a big fan of strong and silent male finding the love of his life and although in these three short stories love is found quickly, they still captivated my attention .
I think the story of Hallie and Trent was my favorite out of the three. Great read!

I enjoyed this book. I loved the relationship between the H and the h.

The Hero was very kind to the heroine and they were perfect together.

Three great stories from three different authors. Diana Palmer I'm familiar with, the other two new to me. Each story is unique except each story has a wolf in it. Drama and intrigue and possible new beginnings. Excellent reading.

2 Stars for Colorado Cowboy, I really did not enjoy this novella. I didn't believe any of the story. It was not something that would happen in the real world so it was hard to get behind the story. It's a quick read.

4 Stars for The Wolf on Her Doorstep, I really enjoyed this novella. The only thing I didn't like was that it was too short and felt there was more to the story to explore. This is an enemies-to-lovers of sorts. The woman gets the grumpy loner who of course is really a great guy underneath all that grumpiness.

5 Stars for Rescue: Cowboy Style, I loved this book and this was the story that made me want to read this book. This is an instalove story. There is action, heat and some romance. You get a full story with novella and I didn't feel it was missing anything to it. I really hope Rebecca Zanetti makes this into a series with the rest of Trent's brothers because I want to see them get their HEA. I am leaving this review voluntarily after being sent a free book.

Cowboys galore! Three stories by three different authors...what more could you possibly want?!

Colorado Cowboy...Esther and Butch meet when he finds Esther right outside his cabin, in the snow. He brings her inside and helps her get dry and warm and the romance builds from there. A sweet story, with its very own wolf! A lovely romance by Diana Palmer.

The Wolf on Her Doorstep...Beth isn't even sure she likes the cranky Conner, but that doesn't stop her from helping him when he's sick. Beth is wary of relationships, but she and Conner find their way to each other and fall in love. Conner's pet wolf doesn't go around many people, but he seems to be looking out for Beth! You don't want to miss this book by Kate Pearce.

Rescue: Cowboy Style...Trent Logan...a man's man...a hunky cowboy. When Hallie practically falls in his lap, well, he decides he's keeping her! In true Rebecca Zanetti style, there's intrigue, romance and of course love! You are going to love this story by the incomparable Rebecca Zanetti!

Wonderful book, but I must say that my favorite story was Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer. Diana Palmer is one of my favorite romance authors and she did not disappoint with this wonderful story. Esther and Mathew's story is so sweet and I love reading how their romance develops. Diana Palmer has a way of creating amazing characters that touch your heart and make you wish you had a cowboy of your own around.

Lone Wolf is an anthology with stories by Diana Palmer, and Rebecca Zanetti, and Kate Pearce. All three are wonderful western novellas that include a wolf as a kind of side kick to the main character.

COLORADO COWBOY by DIANA PALMER gives the reader a sweet woman in need of protection. Esther is more of an old school needing saving type of heroine that the women in the other two novellas. I liked Butch and would have like for there to be even more scenes with Two Toes, the wolf. 4 Stars

THE WOLF ON HER DOORSTEP by KATE PEARCE looks to be an introduction to maybe a new series. I hope so anyway. Beth Baker is a strong, mature woman making a new life for herself and two teenage sons. Conner O’Neil is grumpy retired Navy SEAL with PTSD but he is nothing like her ex-husband. Both has issues to overcome. Doesn’t end with exactly a happily ever after. 4.5 Stars

RESCUE: COWBOY STYLE by REBECCA ZANETTI looks also to be the intro to a new series. There is a whole slew of friends who also need their story. Trent has confidence to spare but the city woman, Hallie is no push over. Good for her! 4 Stars

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This collection contains a hero or heroine who has a wolf as a companion. The stories are short, but hopefully we will see an expanded series from Rebecca Zanetti.

Colorado Cowboy was not one of my favorites in this collection. While I liked the story, the characters didn’t really draw me in.

The Wolf on Her Doorstep was good. I enjoyed this story more. Connor, a retired Navy Seal, was a renter in the cabins that Beth helps manage when needed. He was hurt and although Connor wasn’t very welcoming, she tries to help him.

Cowboy Style was definitely my favorite. I am hoping the author will expand this to a series as the rest of the “brothers” deserve a story.

The combination of authors for this collection is terrific. I enjoyed all the stories, which are different from one another but in a similar setting. So amazing to see what each author can do within those guidelines. This book has great characters and all are well written. I highly recommend it to readers who enjoy this genre. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Three and a half
This collection of short stories from three very popular authors gives romance readers a touch of the modern West . Each one also features a canine companion although having said that the title also overtly describes these leading men who are all most definitely hero material.
Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer
This story is about Esther who saw her mother murdered and ran for her life. She winds up practically penniless , with no real idea who to turn to but luckily for her lonely Butch is more than happy to offer her somewhere safe for the night.
This sadly was definitely not my favourite and although I don’t read a lot of contemporary cowboy style romance this just felt very old fashioned. I particularly disliked the TSTL Esther as she felt like a caricature that just constantly repeated herself. For me this was 2 stars
The Wolf on her Doorstep by Kate Pearce
This had a divorced woman struggling to raise two teenage boys so instantly caught my interest. Beth has gone through a lot in her life and now helps out at a nearby ranch that rents out cabins. When she checks on the very grumpy renter Conner she discovers he’s hurt and does what she can to help. It’s just too bad that what is going on at home is going to bring back a past she wants to forget !
I liked this couple and although it’s short it didn’t rush any declarations of love and rather acknowledged that the couple shared a mutual attraction that could hopefully lead to a happy ever after. Plus the plot was slightly emotional as Beth came to terms with her role as a mother in an ever changing world. This was a solid 3 and would have been more if it had been a longer, more drawn out story.
Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti
Trent and his “brothers “ are ex forces ( and a whole lot more if I’m honest ) who are trying to settle into civilian life . When a young womans car breaks down near their club house Trent feels compelled to help her . However Hallie isn’t exactly being honest about what she is up to which definitely intrigues Trent and arouses all his protective instincts.
If you enjoy MC type characters then I think this story will appeal because these guys definitely feel like those type of “brothers “ . I will admit Trent is way over the top Alpha and the word bossy just doesn’t begin to describe him but it works here because one, it’s short and two, added so much sexual tension ! Hallie is conflicted, desperate to protect the cowboys and I could understand her motivation although if she had ever read a romance novel surely she would have spotted obvious signs that these are definitely not the average ranch hands ! So whilst not particularly lengthy we get romance, suspense and even a little action but for this reader the fun was in the guys and how they just fit together and I’d love to read more about them.
This is my favourite of the three stories so a 4
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

This book was a set of three short stories with a wolf in the story to bind them together. All three stories were entertaining and enjoyable. The couples in all three books were written well and had chemistry. It was so much fun to read and I read each story quickly. They were well written and the characters were all very interesting. It’s a good introduction to three authors. I highly recommend this book because it made me relax and have a little release from everyday stresses.

A great book with 3 excellent stories! I enjoyed all three. Even with the short stories, there was still great character development and stories with each character.

Loved all three books in this anthology. Kept me reading straight thru. Loved how the “Lone Wolf” title applied to the humans in the story as well as the animals. The title really makes a point.

In Colorado Cowboy, the story opens with Esther Marist walking in a blinding snowstorm as she is on the run for her own life, after her mother is murdered. She hitches a ride with a trucker and his wife – and they are truly kind to her. She ends up at a home in Benton, Colorado where she imposes on Butch Matthews for help. Butch finds her almost frozen on his front lawn…or rather his wolf, Two-Toes does. Esther is scared but doesn’t confide in Butch. She doesn’t want to involve anyone in her drama as they would then be in the line of fire, along with her, and she doesn’t want to involve anyone else. Butch is a sweetie, though, and they start to fall in love. Really sweet build to the relationship of Esther and Butch. And intrigue all around! Loved how their story came about, and ended.

In The Wolf On Her Doorstep by Kate Pearce, we are back in Morgantown in Morgan Valley, California. This story is about Beth Baker and Conner O’Neil. This one has intrigue as well, but it weaves itself around Beth’s family. She has two teenage young men/sons (you’ll have to read about the family dynamic for yourself) and her story revolves around her ex-husband. Conner is staying at one of the cabins where Beth is a pseudo-caretaker, is an ex-SEAL, and a general tuff guy. It was touching to read how they helped each other, when neither of them thought they needed help. Explosive relationship! Loved these two. And Loki, of course.

In Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti, Trent Logan comes across as an alpha…jerk. Alpha, yes. Jerk? No. He thinks being a charmer – his usual default self – will help him with Hallie but he quickly learns that he’ll need to be “real” in order to help her. Harley is the wolf who saves Hallie in the beginning but there is heart-pumping and heart stopping intrigue throughout this story.

Loved all three of these stories! Lots of action, intrigue, mayhem and sweet stories of love.

i was given this book to read by NetGalley. A great read by three authors, although all were great, Diana Palmer is my favorite!

I read Wolf on Her Doorstep first, then Colorado Cowboy, and finally Rescue: Cowboy Style. The last book was the best.

2 stars
Colorado Cowboy - Diana Palmer
This book was difficult to get through. Also, this story felt very dated to me. The dialogue was dull, stilted, and lacking emotion. It was the strangest thing. I felt absolutely no connection to anything in this story. I take that back. I felt no connection to the main characters, who seemed to have no personality.

The main characters had no chemistry. Given Esther's circumstances, there was no suspense or buildup of tension. How did the secondary characters have personality, however mild, but the mc's were just dry and boring?

4 stars
The Wolf On Her Doorstep - Kate Pearce
I hadn't been to Morgantown in a while. Some of the previous characters were mentioned, and it made me want to reread some of the books.

No worries. It is not necessary to read any of the series to be able to enjoy Beth and Connors story. It's a short, sweet, kind of instalove story. Both Connor and Beth had back stories that would have been interesting to get more details, but there was just enough information for this one.

A good read about love, loyalty, trust, and life lessons. I wish it had not been such a short story.

5 stars
Rescue: Cowboy Style Rebecca Zanetti
This book was much edgier that the first two books. There was tension, intrigue, and suspense from start to finish. This book did keep me on the edge of my seat.

Although this was Trent and Hallie's story, it left me wanting to know about each of the brothers. Trent and Hallie had this sexual tension, a strong attraction, and off the charts chemistry.

There were moments when I was confused, trying to figure out exactly what was going on. Admittedly, I was fed a piece of the puzzle here and there, but it was oh so satisfying when that final piece was in place. Yet, I had the sense that there was so much left to know about each of them.

I haven't read Rebecca Zanetti's work in a while, but this short story reminded me of what I was missing. I have to find out if the other guys have books out there so I can pick them up.

I voluntarily read and reviewed these books received via NetGalley.
