This book club kit is simple but effective, offering a well-rounded set of discussion questions that helped guide a meaningful conversation about choice, regret, mental health, and what makes life worth living.

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House Library Resources for the book club kit!
I was not a big fan of The Midnight Library but I did appreciate having discussion questions to make me think further about the book. I liked hearing from the author about the idea behind the book and what it meant to him.

"The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig tells the story of Nora Seed, a woman filled with regret who, on the verge of suicide, finds herself in a mystical library between life and death. Guided by a familiar librarian, Nora is given the extraordinary chance to explore infinite alternate lives she could have lived, each based on a different choice she made. As she jumps into these various realities—from a rock star to a glaciologist to a loving wife and mother—Nora gradually confronts her deepest regrets, re-evaluates her perceptions of happiness and success, and ultimately discovers what truly makes life worth living.

I have become a bit of a book club kit hoarder. I was super excited to find this one after saving quite a few from We Are Bookish! I do like that in the more recent book club kits that they include other fun activities like bookmarks, recipes, or interactive discussions. It is nice to have the discussion questions in this kit but would definitely love to see some little fun extras!

-The discussion questions were open-ended and though provoking. Perfect for a book club setting!
-I enjoyed the author interview getting a glimpse behind the scenes of writing the book.
-This book club kit was simple, but lacking in that there were no food/drink or activities ideas.

"The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig explores the infinite possibilities of life through the lens of Nora Seed, a woman struggling with regret. After a failed suicide attempt, Nora finds herself in a library between life and death, where she can experience alternate versions of her life by reading books. Each book represents a different path Nora could have taken, allowing her to explore the consequences of her choices and what she might have been like in those alternate realities.
This Book Club Kit is an excellent resource for this book! It includes discussion questions that provokes discussions and a Q&A with the author.

Great discussion questions and behind the scenes with the author. I think there could have been more to go along with the kit. Maybe printable bookmark or just something fun that the book club could enjoy.

this is just a kit- didn’t need. thought this was for a book apologies. I have not yet read this book and i did not use this kit for anything since this was years ago and i do not run a book clubs.

The Midnight Library really made me think about my own regrets and the small choices that shape a life. I connected with Nora’s feelings of being stuck and questioning what could have been, and I appreciated the hopeful, comforting message about embracing the present. While parts felt a bit repetitive at times, overall it was an emotional, reflective read that stayed with me after I finished.”

I absolutely loved this kit! It was such a fun and helpful way to get into the story before even starting the book. Reading it gave me some great insight into the plot and characters, and now I genuinely can’t wait to dive into the full story — I’m so excited to see how everything unfolds!

I thought this book kit was really cute and had great starter questions for book clubs. I did like that the other book club kits included book marks to hand out to readers and this one did not have that.

One of my favorite books of the year! I am not sure how you describe how amazing this story was. I loved the concept and it was so beautifully written. Definitely going to read more books by the author.

Super helpful kit for Book Club—loved the interview with Matt and the behind-the-scenes insight into the story.

The Midnight Library starts…strange. And it proceeds to get werider. But once finished looking back at the idea of The Midnight Library and what it means and stands for is very intesting and thought provoking. Nora seemingly in an instant realizes what life is about but looking back it does indeed take the whole journey for her to realize what her life means and what's worth living for.

this was a great reference for my book club discussion! good quality as well! I highly recommend this resource to assist your book club discussion for your members

After having read a handful of book club kits, I have to admit that this one is pretty sparse in comparison. I think it speaks pretty heavily to how intriguing and exciting the novel sounds that the lack of extra material didn’t bother me, though I do think it may be disappointing for some. Primary features are just the discussion questions and the author interview. All I know at the end is that I really must pick up this book.

A great book club kit for The Midnight Library. I've been meaning to read this book for a few years now, and want to suggest it for one of my book clubs. I always love having resources like discussion questions to kick things off and keep convos going after reading. I'm really looking forward to utilizing this! Thank you!

I really enjoyed the book club kit for The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. It has some reader questions which are thoughtful and ask the reader for their reactions to the book as well as what they'd do in circumstances like those the book's main character finds herself in. It also has a very honest and, in some ways, deeply personal author Q&A with Matt Haig.
I love books about books and/or libraries, and this seems magical and mystical as well as heartwarming. I really want to experience the complete book.
Thanks to Matt Haig and publisher for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

The Book Club Kit for "The Midnight Library" contains discussion questions and a Q&A with the author. The discussion questions were good for sparking conversation and helping break the ice and dive into this book. I always appreciate a thoughtful Q&A with a writer, as I like to learn more about their process and the influences for their work. Overall, a somewhat simple book club kit, but it felt like an appropriate fit with the book.
