When my book club decided to read this title, I had heard nothing specific about it, but everyone was telling me that it was a "must read." This book club kit was a great addition to the evening. The questions are thought provoking and in depth, and they touch on more than the superficial aspects of the book. I really enjoyed the information about the author, as well. I recommend this kit to anyone hosting a conversation about this book.

Great discussion questions to promote thoughtful discussion about the book. I like how there were questions and an author interview.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book club kit. I just reviewed a similar kit for Mexican Gothic, another very popular release. And actually, I just finished The Midnight Library last night, so it's fresh in my mind. I think that these kits are really neat! I particularly like the layouts and inclusions of extras with the questions.

The Book Club Kit is exactly that - a brief guide including great discussion questions and extremely interesting interview with the author. I'm looking forward to using this for our book club!

I mistakenly thought this was the actual book, The Midnight Library. But lucky for me, The Midnight Library is my book club pick for May. The kit contains eight questions, photo printables, and a Q and A for author Matt Haig. The questions will be great discussion topics for the cub.
I can't wait for May to come around so I can start The Midnight Library and put this kit to use!
This kit could also be used to discuss the book in a smaller group or among a few friends who have read the book.
Many thanks to Penguin Random House Library resources, Matt Haig, and Netgalley for an arc of this kit in exchange for an honest review!

I absolutely adored the novel “The Midnight Library”. Five Stars!! But this Book Club Kit is unfortunately lacking.

There are 8 questions in the Kit and a small Q&A with the author Matt Haig. The interview with Haig was good and actually brought up some ideas for good discussions at a book club. The questions for the book club were all too personal. “What do you think your?... Your life?... You feel?... Do we learn?... About our lives?” These are not questions I would ask at any of my book clubs. Maybe if I wanted to discuss this with a close friend?

There were no questions in this Kit that I see would bring about good discussion regarding the writing, the characters, the plot... you get the idea.

It doesn’t hurt to have this, but thinking up your own questions and looking around the internet are going to get you a lot further.

Thanks Penguin Random House Library Resources and NetGalley for an ARC copy of this kit in exchange for my honest review.

Short but engaging book club guide. Only one page of discussion questions (although they were good) and three pages of an author interview; I would have liked to have seen more discussion content. But it was interesting enough that it got me to buy the book, however, so I think it did its job!

In the book club guide to How to Stop Time, I really appreciated the interview with the author. The suggested questions to guide a book club discussion were fantastic. This would be useful for my book club and would benefit others when sharing thoughts on this beautiful book.

I received a copy of this book club guide via NetGalley which did not affect the contents of my review. All opinions are honest and my own.

This Penguin Random House Book Club Kit is such a great idea. It's short and concise, spicing up your book club meeting without making a literal plan or taking up your entire time as a group.

This kit consists of:
- a list of inventive, poignant questions; I love how thought provoking and open they are, welcoming many different points of view in your group - although in the advance reader's copy they are nearly unreadable in yellow.
- an interview with the author.

I loved these two sections, but I thought it was much shorter than other book club kits from this Publisher. I would have liked another creative section - say recipes, a playlist, DIY, etc.

Great tool for discussion questions for book club or just things to think about after reading this book!

I thought this was the actual book, not promo material. I didn't read the description carefully enough, that was my fault. With that said the book club kit looks promising and a great resource for those wanting a new book club pick.

The Midnight Library is a book I have been looking forward to reading. It’s been sitting on my shelf for a couple of months now. I’ve read the synopsis and some of the reviews so I have a pretty good idea of what it’s about. The subject of a library between life and death giving you opportunities to try out other avenues to see how things might have been is genius. The author’s honesty in his interview about his mental health issues and how it has formed his writing is refreshing. I’ve moved this book to my nightstand moving it up the list and am looking forward to “the library.” Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to experience this book kit.

Really cool discussion questions! I read the book a month ago and it really stayed with me, I really liked revisiting the themes in this book. Also loved getting insight from the author.

I had a one-hour long live discussion with some friends on Youtube, you can watch it here for more of my thoughts on The Midnight Library: https://youtu.be/ZQzbtJDhQHs
