Snow Job
The Prescotts, Book 2
by Tara Wyatt

Sebastian Prescott has been a train wreck since his Olympic chances were crushed due to a knee injury and ended his career. So rich bad boy Sebastian is free loading on his job whilst his assistant does all the work she eventually gets him sacked for free loading on her efforts.
Whilst on a work retreat Kayla crosses paths again with Sebastian at the retreat where he is an instructor.

A fair.y predicted storyline but ok read.

Sebastian Prescott had everything, VP marking, trust fund, wealth, looks until he was fired by his assistant Kayla. His life was spiraling out of control and lost everything so he went back to snowboarding. He was in Vermont ski resort teaching classes and enjoying fresh air away from Manhattan. Everything seems to go better until Kayla showed up at his resort and she might get her fired again for the second time.
Kayla loves planning her life out and she was ambitious to make it in her field. She checked off everything except meeting her prince. She was working hard yet being women made her work on retreat and when she saw Sebastian, everything seems to change.
Sebastian and Kayla hated each other but is it really hating? Prescott men love hard but they have baggages that may get in the way of their HEA.
This one has enough angst, steamy love scenes until the end and can't wait to read the rest of Prescott brothers.
Thanks to Netgalley and author for ARC.

I had read this book totally unaware the fact there is a first in the series. It is amazing that this book was able to be read on its own and not be reliant too much on the first to understand the story and fit as a standalone. This book just had the comfort of a classic romance book where it gave you the spicy, enemies to lovers vibes and I just adored everything about this book! Will be keeping this title on hold for friends who I know that like steamy romances! I will also find myself in search of the first of the series to see if I enjoy it as much as I did this one

I received a complimentary copy of Snow Job in exchange for an honest review. This book had an interesting beginning, and I wasn't sure how the author was going to "bridge the gap ". There were a few surprises along the way which kept this novel entertaining. Overall, decent read .

My thanks to NetGalley and Tara Wyatt for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.

This was a DNF at 24%. I just couldn't with the MC H. Also, I understand that lust/chemical attraction has to be there so the romance and love can develop, but it was TOO enemies to lovers for me to really believe.

However, I REALLY liked the roomie of the MC h and her book is next, so I am planning to read it soon, as the writing is solid, I just didn't like the MC H AT ALL. I am sure there is a redemption arc and that he is damaged and that he gets better and grows, but I read to escape reality and don't want to have to go through a boy-child Peter Pan going through his growing pains.

Not bad, written well, and the secondary characters grabbed me, so more than willing to continue the series. If you like enemies to lovers, and a redemption arc, then this book is very likely one you will enjoy and I recommend it.

2, it's not the book it's definitely me, stars.

This book was a wonderfully crafted story with a touch of drama and plenty of chemistry laden steam. I fell under this author’s spell once again as this story progressed. The enemies to lovers theme was perfectly crafted with spicy dialogue and intense attraction. Loved it. I can’t wait to read the next book.

I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.

Unfortunately,I really did not like the book. It started out promising. I thought it would be a kind of standard adult romance, but the more I read it, the more I really didn’t like it. There was no real plot. There were random plot devices added in to trick the reader into thinking there was plot, but they were so forced and underdeveloped.

Snow Job by Tara Wyatt is the 2nd book in The Prescotts series, and my first book by this author. Sebastian Prescott is the bad boy of the family who has a history of drinking and gambling after an injury ended his Olympic career. Kayla Bristowe got Sebastian fired from his job, because she was doing all the work. This book is an enemies to lovers romance, which I enjoyed. If you enjoy your romances really steamy than I highly recommend this book for you. Looking forward to reading about the other Prescott brothers in their books.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Sebastian is not living the best moment of his life. He has just been fired because he was not doing his job properly. Kayla, who was working as his subordinate, told their boss about Sebastian's lack of professionalism.
Now Sebastian is working as a snowboarding instructor. And although is less glamorous than his previous job, he is pretty happy.
At least until Kayla turns up there. She is spending a week with her colleagues, his former colleagues, in a corporate retreat.
And Sebastian can only think about revenge.
I wanted to like this book. I swear I tried. But it was dragging on forever. And I didn't connect with the characters. Not for me. Sorry.

I love Tara Wyatt and I adored this story. I was hooked from the epilogue of the first book and just knew I would enjoy this one. It was well done and I can't wait for the next!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley the chance to read this book for an honest review. Sebastian is one of the Prescott brothers - we first learned of them in Stupid Love - it was nice to revisit them. The book starts off with Sebastian losing his job after Kayla tells their boss that she is picking up the slack. Sebastian loses everything and goes back to snowboarding - he is really good at it (almost made an Olympic team) I love the brothers and despite a rough upbringing they are loyal to the core. This story was a little far fetched and I really couldn't believe after all Kayla did to sabotage Sebastian he was so willing to forgive her and then the story with the loan sharks....that could have been left out. I will stick to these stories since I am invested in these brothers. I just wished Kayla would have been a little more remorseful.

Kayla used to work under Sebastian for 3-years until Sebastian’s self-destructive behavior of drinking & gambling got him fired. Sebastian left NYC and became a snowboarding instructor at a resort in Vermont to get his life together, but he blamed Kayla for losing his job.

Now several months after Sebastian loses his job, the company he used to work for is at his resort for a work retreat. Kayla’s boss made her head of planning the retreat, even though isn’t in her job description. She’s not happy about planning the retreat and even more unhappy about seeing Sebastian again.

Her boss doesn’t want Sebastian being the instructor for the employees, so when Kayla tells Sebastian’s boss this, Sebastian thinks Kayla is trying to get him fired from yet another job. And so he decides to try and sabotage the retreat, making Kayla look bad to her boss in return.

But when a snow storm traps Kayla and Sebastian in a cabin together, things change between them. It may be freezing outside, but things get beyond toasty in that cabin...

Snow Job by Tara Wyatt is book 2 in The Prescotts series. I didn’t read book 1, but this could definitely be read as a stand-alone. This was a quick and very steamy read. Even though there wasn’t much buildup to Kayla and Sebastian’s romance, their sexual chemistry was fire and their steamy scenes were through the roof hot. The rest of the book was just alright for me, especially the drama toward the end. I especially liked the first part of the book (the retreat portion). After that ended it was mostly just them together as a couple and an out-of-left-field conflict. I still enjoyed my time reading this one so I may continue with the series to read Max & Willa’s romance! 3.5/5 stars.

Thanks NetGalley & Tara Wyatt for my review copy.

This was a DNF for me. Sebastian is a horrible person and I just couldn't root for him to get together with Kayla. He DESERVED to be fired from his job, because he wasn't actually doing it. And not just for a couple of weeks but for actual years. Kayla didn't go to their boss and told him to fire Sebastian. She asked him for help, which she was in the right to do. She even explained this to Sebastian and he just didn't want to believe her.
I understand that addiction is a disease and I have sympathy for Sebastian's position but he has no reason to seek revenge. He was at rock bottom before he got fired. Pulling those "pranks" was malicious and Sebastian's colleague perfectly explained to him how wrong he was for doing it. He actually acknowledges himself that he's mainly angry because Kayla doesn't seem to care about him (rightfully so after he made her life hell and then was a dick to her). He didn't just seriously endanger Kayla's job, he screwed his new boss, who was also his friend. I was so frustrated with him I couldn't finish the book. He started out so unbelievably immature and blaming everyone but himself and he simply can't be redeemed in the span of this book just because Kayla falls in love with him. He needs serious therapy and even then I suspect he would still be a dick. You don't get to treat people badly on purpose and then be like: oops I had a rough childhood. Work on yourself! And do it in a way that doesn't screw everyone along with you.

Started off solid for me, then it quickly turned into something else. To be honest, I was not a fan of Sebastian. He seemed to blame everyone but himself for his behavior. It was immature.

This book was unfortunately a DNF for me. I couldn't get myself invested in these characters, especially when Sebastian was such a jerk. I'm really disappointed, I love the trapped in a cabin trope, but I couldn't even it make it far enough to get there. Sebastian was just too unlikeable for me. I hate to DNF a review copy, but unfortunately, it just was a miss for me.

After reading Tara Wyatt's Stupid Love, I really wanted to know what would happen to the other Prescott brothers. Because they all come from a highly disfunctional family. And as the youngest, Sebastian was always the joker, the one getting into trouble, just to get some attention from his parents. And when his Olympic Dream ended because of an injury, he totally spiraled out of control. More than often drunk or high, it has been a decade of bad decisions, one after another. So, it is not totally surprisingly that Sebastian lost his job. The reason why it took his bosses so long, before throwing his ass out, was because his assistant Kayla covered for him for years. Licking his wounds and feeling sorry for himself, Sebastian finds a new job as a snowboard instructor.
Feeling like she is drowing in her job, because her boss is mostly absent or non supportive, Kayla is done with cleaning up Sebastian's mess. Although he is hot as hell, she just can't handle all the responsibilies he throws her way. So, when she had enough courage to go to Sebastian's boss, she didn't realize it would lead to Sebastian being fired and her getting his job. And also, she didn't realize that working for Sebastian's boss is even more demanding than working for Sebastian. Because, although very absent, Sebastian had always treated her with respect and not as a doormat as her current boss.
And when Sebastian finds out that the yearly corporate retreat is booked in his snow resort, he will do anything to help Kayla fail as the organisor. That will teach her for her getting him fired. When Kayla gets lost in a snowstorm, they are thrown together in a cabin for a few days. And there is one way to keep each other warm... The chemistry is off the charts and the story is funny as hell, but with multiple layers. In all, a very funny, cute and hot story! Let's keep those Prescott's stories coming! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Thanks to Tara Wyatt for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book. I really didn't find a lot of humor in this book but did find romance and strong "I have your back relationships" along with new book boyfriends to dream about, Sebastien, Max, Theo and Lucian. This is the 2nd book in this series and I wished I had read the book 1 first. Great characters that I'm looking forward to reading about in future books.

After reading the first book in The Prescott series I couldn't wait to read Snow Job the second book. Now I am truly invested in this series and it will be hard waiting for the next installment, I hate waiting. This story has a few flaws and I felt that most of the drama was very much Sebastian self destruction induced and trying to deal with the consequences was repeated so many times that it got a bit old. I enjoyed Kayla and her big heart but also her backbone. and oh buddy, brace yourself for some very steamy scenes. I am very much looking forward to reading about grumpy Max next!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC to read for a an honest review.
