I can never get enough of Lynette Eason's novels. Her characters grab you from the beginning and get you involved with their outcome. She didn't disappoint in Hostile Intent.

This is a must-read for anyone who loves Christian romantic suspense novels.

This fourth installment in the Danger Never Sleeps series is best read after the first three for the most thorough understanding of the characters and situations.

Ava Jackson has spent most of her life hiding away the secret of her father's real job, but the past comes back to haunt her when a cold-blooded killer sets his sights on Ava after killing several families tied to the Russian KGB. Caden Denning is determined to protect Ava from this madman while investigating the murders. As Caden and Ava spend more time together, they begin to care for each other even more than when they were younger. Can they find the link between the murdered families and the danger Ava and her family are in before the killer strikes again?

I enjoyed this book just as much as the first three and it was hard for me to stop reading it. The intense and suspenseful narrative was just as gut-wrenching and adrenaline-pumping as I have come to expect from Lynette Eason. She is now one of my favorite Christian authors due to her descriptive writing, action-packed plots, realistic characters worthy of sympathy, and her focus on God throughout her stories. I appreciate the fact that I can read one of her books without fear of bad language, immorality, or other objectionable content, as well as the undercurrent of hope that runs through each story. Those who are upset by kidnapping, torture, violence, and the murder of children might want to avoid this book, but I thought the author handled everything very well. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series to anyone who enjoys suspenseful, inspirational fiction.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Lynette Eason is a favorite author and her books are always an auto read for me! Like every book of hers, she drew me into Hostile Intent with an immediate action scene and strong female protagonist in Ava! Ava has her own personal issues and uses her past to create a future she can be proud of. I enjoyed the relationship between her and Caden. You know how it ends but the journey getting there is worth following! I give it 5 stars and recommend to any reader!

This book was absolutely amazing and I was completely riveted from beginning to end! Clean Christian romantic suspense with lots of drama. Throughout the book there are mentions of killings from a serial killer and war killings, and nothing graphic but it can still be upsetting at times.

This was one of those books I read in one day with no interruptions because I was so involved in the characters and plot that I didn’t want to stop. I liked reading about the other girls that were mentioned in previous books but each book can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed getting to know Caden and Ava and watching their friendship grow as events grew more intense and the plot thickened.

This book and this series is one that I will keep on my bookshelf to read again. I absolutely loved it! I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Another page turner from Lynette Eason!
Caden and Ava are on the hunt to figure out who is murdering families and why Ava may be the key to it all. The romance aspect was pretty light, focusing mainly on the suspense. I loved all the twists!

#BookReview: Hostile Intent by Lynette Eason

It's my first book by @lynetteeason and it won't be my last. It's book 4 but it can be read as a standalone.

The book started out intense with a couple of murders already. I like the writing style. Every chapter gets more mysterious and suspenseful. There's a brewing romance but solving the case is the focus. I like that faith is weaved in the story. I couldn't put this down. Christian romantic suspense lovers will surely enjoy this book.

4 stars

Thank you to Revell and netgalley for the complimentary copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Lynette Eason is a fabulous writer who spins amazing stories that grip you from the first page. In Hostile Intent you will be taken into a world that probably isn’t your everyday life, yet you won’t be left struggling to understand what is going on. There is action, romance, danger, & betrayal. The characters are real & relatable. Trigger warning that these books contain loss & that can be tough. If you are looking for an adrenaline packed novel with lots of adventure this one is a great choice!

This rounds off Lynette Eason's gripping 'Danger Never Sleeps' series, which has gone from strength to strength.
That said, I've not read any suspense novel from Lynnette which is not a top notch read.
In this case Ava Jackson has worked hard to build her military career, but she takes an early discharge in order to help care for her sick mother.
When she is attached while walking back to her car, she is helped by Caden Denning. Caden is an FBI agent, and he believes Ava has the key to multiple so far unsolved murders. But can they find out what that key is before Ada ends up the next victim?
As always this is a compelling read, tightly plotted and fast paced. The nods back to the other books in the series are nice for a series reader, but not off putting to someone who is starting the series with the last book first!

Hostile Intent is the final book in the Danger Never Sleeps series by Lynette Eason. Get ready for an intense ride with this military/FBI inspired novel! After leaving the Navy to care for her mother, Ava, finds herself in the midst of three murder cases that could be tied to her past. FBI Special Agent, Caden, intervenes and keeps Ava from being the next victim on a targeted list but who is behind the crimes. Together they will try to uncover the answer and along the way develop more than just a friendship.

This series is about brave women in the military with each book focusing on one woman. The storyline of this book is one that is a bit darker and of violent crime but Eason does a wonderful job of keeping it from being graphic. She also has a way of weaving faith into the characters lives. Everything about Eason's books keep you in suspense and wanting more!

Romantic Suspense, Christian contemporary, sweet (clean romance); Series, but stand alone read PG-13 for violence
L.E. writes a perfect Christian Romantic Suspense novel. 4th in this series, it can be read on it's own. A series of murders is connected by the FBI and Ava is connected to them. As the mystery around the Serial murders starts unfolding, Ava and Caden are brought together to fight for her life, and solve catch the murderer. Strong backstory, compelling characters and side characters, perfect setting, Eason crafts a hard to put down suspense read that has bits of faith intermingled in. Definitely well-paced, and suspenseful. Perfect read for me. Fans of international intrigue and suspense will enjoy this one.

An intense read, the book starts out on a dark note showing the terror inflicted by the murderer. Which made the book harder for me personally to get into because I tend to not like the darker reads, and I didn't like to be in the bad guy's head so much.

I was so happy to see that Caden was finally getting a story, since he has long been the supportive brother and friend in the background of previous books. Ava leaves the military to care for her ailing mother, finding herself in the crosshairs of a killer. I loved the relationship between Caden and Ava, how they grew up together as family friends and become closer while working to catch the killer. They have a strong foundation of friendship and I liked how they worked together as their relationship grew.

Overall this was an action packed read, with great character development and great chemistry. I liked how they both relied on their faith throughout, and found someone that they could trust. An explosive conclusion to an excellent series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have had the pleasure of reading and enjoying the previous books from Lynette Eason's Danger Never Sleeps series. I was excited to have the opportunity to read the latest installment, Hostile Intent. I was far from being disappointed. It is my favorite of the four. Five stars.

Hostile Intent by Lynette Eason (Danger Never Sleeps Book #4) is a book with phenomenal suspense. This is a thriller in every sense. Three murders could be solved by something in Ava's past. The FBI comes asking for her help. With danger lurking, this investigation is high stakes and makes for a page turning read throughout. I highly recommend it. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

What a fantastic book to conclude this series. This series is about a group of brave military ladies that encounter dangers at every turn. Thank you for letting me read it. Lynette is a favorite of mine and have enjoyed all of her books.

Eason keeps you on your toes!

This was a pretty fast paced adventure for Ava and Caden. I never knew what was coming next and while I figured out a few parts there were other loose ends I didn't figure out on my own.

This one was definitely more action and adventure than romance, but I really enjoyed the romantic moments. This one also had a little bit darker of a story than I was expecting but it was really well done. Eason does a good job of planting thoughts and ideas in your head without being too graphic.

The end threw me a little and wasn't what I expected, but overall it was a very good read.

I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Ava Jackson has lived a lie since she learned her father’s secret at the age of fifteen. She left her chosen career in the military when her mother took ill, but now she finds herself in the sights of a serial killer.

She and her friend from childhood days, FBI Special Agent Caden Denning, struggle to understand the connection between three murdered families as well as why the killer is out to get Ava. The fact that the hero and heroine got on well from the start of the story is a pleasant change to the usual storyline where they start off disliking one another!

The suspense-filled story of Hostile Intent is the fourth and final in the Danger Never Sleeps series, but it stands alone. I found it gripping, but I admit to being disappointed by the sudden and unexpected twist at the end.

Had this occurred earlier in the series, it would have made sense. But for me, the ending left me wondering what was going to happen next. I hope Ms Eason plans a follow-up series.

For that reason, I’m only giving it four stars. I expected to be giving it five, but the ending left me deflated. Nevertheless, I love this author’s writing style and look forward to her next.

If you enjoy suspense stories with a clean read, you will enjoy this book. Others may enjoy the twist at the end. It may just have been me.

This is book four in the Danger Never Sleeps series. I feel it is a stand alone, however you will miss history of some of the characters in this book, if you do not read book one (Collateral Damage), two (Acceptable Risk) or three (Active Defense) first you will miss some history of the characters but not enough to leave you wandering what is going on, but enough you will probably want to read them all.
I love the writing style of Lynette Eason, she does a great job developing her characters, and their circumstances. This book is full of mystery, suspense, friendship, and of course romance. We reconnect with characters we met in previous books and learn more about them.
Ava and Caden have been friends for a long time, He has been there for her many times, and this time is no different. There are many twist, turns, suspense and mystery in this book. Ava must try to stay ahead of a madman and solve a puzzle to find the answers to many questions.
If you enjoy intense, suspenseful romance you will enjoy this. I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.

Wow! talk about edge of your seat...the action started from the first pages and kept building with twists and turns until the last pages. This was the last book in the Danger Never Sleeps series and it was the best! Someone is trying to kill Ava Jackson and she doesn't know why, with the help of her childhood friend, FBI Special Agent Caden Denning, they race against the clock to stop the killer who has a list of families that he has targeted. The characters from the other books make appearances in this one too. This book is full of suspense, mystery, a touch of romance and some humor. My favorite in the series.

Lynette Eason has been a go-to author for me for a long, long time. Her suspense is always nail-biting, "flip the page faster", "how-are-they-ever-going-to-survive-this" and all in the space of about 325 pages! Hostile Intent is book 4 in her Danger Never Sleeps series, each featuring a different woman, all tied together by their service in Afghanistan.

Ava Jackson's father was lost at sea and presumed dead while she was deployed, so when her mother's health declines, she takes early discharge to care for her. Leaving the nursing facility where her mother is a patient, Ava is attacked and only FBI Special Agent Caden Denning's intervention keeps her from being abducted. When Caden informs her that she may hold the key to solving the murders of three families, Ava at first balks at the idea. As Caden lays out the pattern the killer is following, Ava realizes that she recognizes some of the murdered people. Could her father's disappearance tie into all of this? Keeping secrets has been a part of her life ever since she learned her father's secret at 13. Can she trust Caden with the truth of the life she has lived, in order to save the next family on the killer's list - her own?

This story had more twists and switchbacks than I can begin to describe. It took the Danger Never Sleeps series out with a bang, and romantic suspense readers will love the story. As always, Lynette Eason lived up to her "favorite author" status! Absolutely recommend!!
