The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

HAIRPIN BRIDGE by Taylor Adams follows Lena, a young woman, who journeys to Hairpin Bridge to uncover the truth behind her twin sister’s death.

After reading this book, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I will read and love everything Adams writes from here on out! This book was full of twists and turns and action-packed scenes that had my heart racing.

He didn’t hold back on the gore with this one (*insert constant grimacing here*), and also managed to still make me sob out of heartbreak. Oh, and did I mention the absolute badass female protagonist that made me cheer so freakin’ much?!?!

I’ll be buying a copy of this on release day and will patiently (maybe) be waiting for Taylor Adams’ next novel!

No Exit is one of my top 5 books of all time. While I didn’t love this one as much as No Exit, it is still a fantastic, high octane heart pounder. It’s an adrenaline rush of a thrill ride!

It looks like I'm in the minority with this one but I just didn't love this. It sounded so good from the description but then there just seemed to be so much filler and not much actual plot. If you love very detailed descriptions of car chases that go on for many, many pages then this might be for you.

Lena Nguyen leads this fast-paced thriller on a quest to find out what happened to her twin sister, Cambry, on Hairpin Bridge. Her death was ruled a suicide, but “twintuition” along with a mysterious text with a name tells her different.

I was a huge fan of Taylor Adams’ previous novel, No Exit. Hairpin Bridge gave me the same feeling of intense twists and turns. I felt myself reading as fast as possible to get to the next twist. I appreciated the complexity of the relationship between the few characters the story held. It wasn’t bogged down with backstory or unnecessary detail. I could see this one made into a really good movie.

This new book from the author of NO EXIT does not disappoint. Twin sisters who have been estranged for awhile are the focus of the story. One has died and the other is investigating that death. The story is told from the perspectives of both women, plus the blog of the surviving sister. These different points of view can cause some confusion at times, so careful reading is required. The other important characters are well-developed and interesting, as is the fascinating, complicated plot. Thanks to NetGalley and William Morrow for providing an ARC.

Wow. What a crazy ride. Hairpin Bridge was a thrilling, gut-wrenching novel that will have you constantly on your toes. I absolutely loved Lena. The courage she has to go out to the location her sister was killed to face her sister’s KILLER……insane!! The entire time I was hooked because Taylor Adams has a way of throwing a million plot twists at you that you just can put the book down. After reading No Exit last year I knew that he would be one of my new favorite authors. The only reason why this book wasn’t 5 stars for me was because there were times I was a bit confused with the plot, but that could just be me. I would definitely recommend pre-ordering this book NOW so you can start it immediately when it comes out in June.

Wow, I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy of the new Taylor Adams book on @NetGalley, and I'm so happy to report that if you were a fan of "No Exit" (and who WASN'T?), "Hairpin Bridge" will give you the exact same adrenaline rush and satisfaction. I actually had a physical reaction to reading this book: my heart was racing, my blood pressure was up (not great in pregnancy), and I kept feeling my eyes darting toward the bottom of each page because my brain could not wait to see what happened next. In short - everything I loved about "No Exit." If you like thrillers, you have absolutely got to check out this book when it's released in June.

The basic premise is this: three months ago, Lena's identical twin leapt to her death off of a storied, out of commission bridge that's been out of commission for years now. Her family has accepted Cambry's death as a suicide and is working on moving on, but Lena refuses to believe that her twin would do something so out of character. So she's been working: investigating the case, looking into the background of the police officer who filed the report, and training - with guns. Now she's going to confront the man who she is convinced tossed her from that bridge, and she's got a plan. But has she underestimated him? Is this entire thing more complex than she could ever have known? And worst of all - did she really know her sister at all?

There are literally dozens of intense action scenes in this book. It is one of the most fast-paced, exciting thrillers that I've read in a long time. Taylor Adams has skyrocketed to the top of my list of authors whose new releases I will mark on my calendar. I'm so excited for all of you to be able to read "Hairpin Bridge" so that we can discuss the many heart attacks that you had along the way.

Cambry is a 24 year old nomad. She’s traveled through the US with her old Corolla, taking on odd jobs, camping and drawing in her notebooks wherever she goes. When she suddenly commits suicide, her death is shocking, especially to her identical twin, Lena.

Lena wants answers and asks the officer who found her sisters body to meet her at the location, Hairpin Bridge, explaining to him that she wants closure. But she wants more than that. She wants revenge and she wants to know who exactly <b>murdered</b> her sister. Because Lena knows Cambry wouldn’t jump to her death.

What transpires in the 4 hours spent on that bridge that afternoon is full of suspense, intrigue, and will keep you on your toes throughout the <i>entire</i> time.

The authors writing is flawless and gives great insight into both past and present Lena by delving into her blog posts leading up to her fateful meeting on the bridge, as well as her thoughts about what Cambry may or may not have experienced. That, along with the juxtaposition of Lena’s current plight leads the novel to a heart pounding standoff at every turn. 5 ⭐️ !!

Taylor Adams is a master of telling an entire gut-wrenching story in (almost) one-location. This is only my second Adams novel, but after reading No Exit, I knew I would have to read this one. After a quick meeting at a diner, a Police Officer takes the reader and Lena to the site of her sister's suicide at the Hairpin Bridge to process what happened. And other than a few flashbacks from her sister's point of view revealing tiny pieces of the story, and a few flashbacks revealing why Lena cares so much, almost the entire story takes place standing on this decrepit old bridge. My fear of heights is uncomfortable just reading about it. So how is it that my heart is pounding away because of 200 imaginary feet of space?! By the end of this book, I was shocked, doubly scared of bridges, kind of wanted to cry for multiple reasons... I have to go look at pictures of cats or something before I can go to sleep.

Like many other readers, you probably discovered "No Exit" by Taylor Adams, read it in one sitting and anxiously waited for his next release. Thank you to NetGalley for this advanced reader copy - it was as thrilling and TENSE as No Exit. In Hairpin Bridge, Lena drives from Seattle to Missoula, Montana in hopes to find out answers from Raymond Raycevuc, an officer who was the last person to see Cambry before she jumped off Hairpin Bridge. Taylor Adams thrives at writing "cat and mouse" stories, tricking readers to trust and untrust characters and isolating his characters into troubling situations. From start to finish, I had no idea how the book was going to end, who would survive, what was true and what was fabricated....so many things. It's a book you won't be able to put down and definitely did not disappoint.

I loved Adams No Exit and could hardly wait to read his new book but it was a little confusing for me. The premise was great-twin sister trying to find the real reason her sister died, and the twists and turns about the highway patrol officer really kept me guessing. I admired the pluckiness of both of the twins-neither one was afraid to confront the danger in store for them. It was a good story but not great but this certainly did not keep me from wanting to finish the story because I needed to know the back story of Officer Raycevic and that did not disappoint.

The TL;DR of it is: If you loved No Exit, you will love Hairpin Bridge.

Seriously, such a similar high-stress, occasionally gory experience. Pacing wise, No Exit was a little better. There were times in Hairpin Bridge that I felt were dragging on with a lot of unnecessary detail. I also felt like I couldn't firmly picture the set up of the cars and the bridge (I know this sounds like unnecessary but it was very necessary lol). So I just had trouble picturing it.

It won back points at the end, where everything fell perfectly into place and it went somewhere.... (intentionally trying to be vague!!) that I was not expecting.

No one writes more suspenseful, edge of your seat, nail biting books than Taylor Adams. I loved Hairpin Bridge and I couldn't put it down. Each time I thought the tension was going to ease up, I was blissfully wrong. Hairpin Bridge is worthy follow up to No Exit which I also loved and couldn’t put down.

Lena & Cambry are identical twins. The sister's were estranged but Lena would do anything for Cambry, Including finding her killer.

I highly recommend this twisty thriller.

I will read anything he puts out at this point and Hairpin Bridge did not disappoint! The characters are so well developed and he has such a talent for keeping you on the edge of your seat! Highly recommend!

After No Exit, I'll read pretty much anything Taylor Adams writes, and Hairpin Bridge doesn't disappoint. Taylor has a knack for dark characters and grim settings, and just like in his prior work, there were multiple chapters that had me holding my breath. The story within a story angle was pretty brilliant, too, as was the resolution. If you love high-octane thrillers with unexpected twists, you'll definitely love this one.

This was a hair-raising thriller (no pun intended) that I had a hard time putting down. At about 2/3 of the way through it started dragging a bit, at the same time it got very very bloody. Not for the faint of heart or squeamish. Overall, I enjoyed this book. It’s the 3rd I’ve read by this author and I can always be assured I’ll have a wild ride. I wanted to read this book badly because I loved No Exit. It is because I loved No Exit that I am feeling very neutral about Hairpin Bridge. I feel as if Adams' new book is the same formula as No Exit. I do not want to go into deep detail about it, but I will provide the basics. Both books feature a mourning, young woman who is placed into a "locked room" situation. As you dive deeper into the book, there is family drama placed at the center. The twists were predictable, because the books are so alike. I do think that a lot of people will like it. It is a quick read and very thrilling in nature; I had to keep going despite figuring out what was going to happen. That is how well it is written. I just wish it was written with a different formula in mind.

I read this in one sitting! The beginning had me hooked and I just needed to know what was happening next.
I haven't read a thriller in awhile, I almost forgot what it is like to feel shivers down my arm from a book. I literally got super creeped out with this book, ugh!! I am such a weenie, haha.

I have to admit toward the ending I started to lose steam. Parts of the story felt like filler and didn't really need to be there, but overall it was a pretty good mystery and kept me wanting to know the twists!!

Twins Lena and Cambry may or may not have been estranged, but when Cambry is found at the bottom of a bridge, Lena knows it isn’t suicide. She sets up a meeting with the police officer who found Cambry, but was also mentioned in her goodbye text. Is Officer Ray friend or foe? One thing for certain, don’t underestimate Lena....she prepared for this meeting!
