First, a character that has my name which is rare it is always a plus! I didn't realize when I requested this that it is the third book in a series. However, the author did a great job of explaining the back story. This book is so captivating all the story plot you can simply put it down! The writing style helps a lot for people and kids who are not very into reading

A fantastic read which credits young people with maturity and doesn’t shy away from deep issues. Only wish I had read the first two books

I didn't realize that this book was part of a series when I requested it and was initially concerned I would be really confused when I dove into the book upon that realization. However, the author does a great job of supporting readers with the backstory necessary for this world. This feature makes it a great choice for classroom libraries where students might not read books in order necessarily. The magic and whimsy of the world made it hard to put down and i think this would be great for more hesitant readers because of the pacing and language used within.
