Found out it was the fourth book in the series, which is probably why I struggled a bit to get into it. This is the first I've read, so while I wasn't lost I did have trouble with the pack politics and such. Overall, a good shifter romance with Sierra and Maverick. Wasn't a big fan of Sierra overall, since I felt she was a bit too angry and emotional for supposedly being a warrior, but still kept my interest through to the end. Would recommend.

This is the fourth book in the Seven Range Shifters series and my new favorite! This is the story of Sierra Cavanaugh and Packmaster Maverick Grey. Sierra has worked her whole life to become the first female elite warrior in Grey Wolf history. When her nomination finally put forward for approval it is denied by the traditional council because she is an unmated female.
Maverick offers a solution to this problem by telling Sierra that he will claim her. Sierra has been in love with Maverick for many years, so this proposition is both a blessing and a curse. Sierra must decide if she is willing to sacrifice one dream for another. She realizes that her decision could impact the females of the pack for years to come.
The pack is an untenable situation that must be resolved for the well-being of all of the pack members. There are assassins, traitors, and more that combine to make this a fast-paced exciting read. I greatly enjoyed the love story between Sierra and Maverick. The pace of the book is excellent and the dialogue is amusing. Overall, this is a great book that I would highly recommend.
