Violet March is “mother” to Sprinkles, the only Dalmatian in Turtle Beach until the new Fire Marshall moves in, Sam Nash, with Cinder, his Dalmatian partner.

This was a cute, quick read. There’s fun banter between the main characters, which is always one of my favorite things in books. It’s a fun opposites attract, romantic comedy.

It’s a highly predictable story with several mischievous characters. The Dalmatians are adorable and complete opposites, just like their owners. The story is written in dual POV and I really enjoyed Sam’s chapters and sections. I’m not going to lie though, being in Violet’s head wasn’t as entertaining. She seemed extremely childish at times and it really didn’t help that the whole town treated her like a child too.

All in all, this was a quick and entertaining read with some fun 101 Dalmatians vibes.

Super cute rom-com between the characters Violet and Sam. Add in some charming doggies and I am here for this story. And you can't go wrong with a few hot firefighters.

Fun, loving, Violet March has the only Dalmatian in town. Until firefighter turned fire marshal uptight, fickle, Sam Nash moves in. Not only is he the owner of a well trained Dalmatian, unlike Violet's crazy pooch, he's also a former baseball whose come to help to win the yearly softball tournament between the town's fire & police department. Violet owns the local cupcake truck but just so happens to have 2 brothers & a father who are police officers.

This rom-com includes small town, opposites attract, grump x sunshine & forbidden romance.

This is the perfect fun story to read at the beach or poolside! Sweet, closed door, with the elderly meddling townspeople. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Violet did seem a bit immature for her age but I was completely able to overlook it loving everything else about this story.

This was such a fun book that epitomize what a romcom should be. It had banter and likable characters as well as chemistry. Of course, having dogs included just made it better all in all, I found it very enjoyable.

Simply, eh.

The main character is not literally a child but is definitely metaphorically one. Violet is constantly treated as a child by her family and has thus embraced a young and bratty personality. I also did not necessarily love her initial "enemies" dynamic with Sam.

However, the book itself was decently well written and fast paced with a happily ever after and cute dogs.

Honestly, if u are looking for a sweet, clean romance you could read this one but I wouldn't pick it up again.

After several attempts this was a DNF for me and it's rare for me to DNF a rom-com. I can't pinpoint what exactly I didn't like but it was just so slow. I don't usually mind a slow burn, but this just didn't do it for me. I just reviewed A Spot of Trouble by Teri Wilson. #NetGalley

Violet owns the only Dalmatian in town, until Sam arrives as one of the new firefighters in town with a matching Dalmatian in tow. As expected, high jinks ensue - especially with two high energy canines added to the mix.

This book was such fun enemies to lovers rom-com and I loved the added characters of Cinder and Sprinkles - they added such fun to the story.

Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I love this author, and although it wasn't my favorite, it was still a good read. Thanks to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for allowing me to review.

Is it bad to say I connected to the animals in this story more than the humans? Because well... I did.

This is not to say that the story wasn't enjoyable. i thought it was a charming romance with a well written enemies to lovers trope! But at the end of the day I just could not find myself connecting to the characters as much I had hoped I would. So although I thought the romance was cute, the characters separately did not work for me. the dogs stole the show for sure!

Thank you to Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love a rom-com that has dogs in the story, they always seem to make reading a book so much more enjoyable and funny. As soon as I saw the cover of the book I wanted to get a copy. I love it.

It was a cute read but didn't have much substance. Violet and Sam meet in a case of mixed identity when she thinks he is trying to steal her dog. I loved the dogs, but to be honest they are the only thing that kept me reading, I just couldn't gel with the characters at all, Violet seemed very immature. It was a sweet opposites attract romance that passed a few hours but unfortunately nothing memorable for me.

This is the first book I have read by the author and would possibly ready other books.

This book is a lot of fun and I really hope it makes it into the right hands. If you love a romcom that is. a little more silly, cheesy, and exaggerated please pick this up! Manage your expectations and know what this is: a fun time.

A Spot of Trouble (Turtle Beach #1). By Teri Wilson. 2021. Sourcebooks Casablanca (ARC eBook).

A very fun romance between the daughter of Turtle Beach’s police chief and the newcomer fire fighter. Plus their two, too-cute dalmatians. There was a bit of a quirky mix up; two in fact, that, in real life, would have gone on unbelievably too long, but they served for setting a rivalry and later in helping both Violet and Sam reevaluate what they want in life. I’m interested to see what rivalries Turtle Beach residents can dig into next.

Spot of Trouble is a cute, wholesome, feel good romcom. You need to go in knowing it’s more on the silly, cheesy side of romance books and not super deep. Sam and Violet have an adorable meet cute with a couple of pups, which starts their enemies to lovers story. The storyline was a big exaggerated with the PD vs FD, and like I mentioned before on the sillier side, but if you are in the mood for something light, give A Spot of Trouble a go!

The characters were delightful---especially the matchmaking senior citizens! A lively heroine, handsome hero, cute dogs, and yummy cupcakes all in a coastal town created a delightful read. I'm sure I'll be re-reading this story - - FIVE STARS!!

This was a really adorable read that entertained me from start to finish. The plot twist was kind of obvious, and it made a fun read waiting for the main characters to figure it out!

When this book started I think I might enjoy it but as it went on I realzied I didn't really care about the main characters. I did like the 3 nosy elderly ladies. Unforunately, I was disappointed in this book.

Can two dalmations find love? Can they find love for their owners? Surprisingly Teri Wilson has created such a fun, magic and just full of a love story that will make you want more. We have two groups, the firefighters and the police men at war so to speak in the baseball field. Violet March was raised in blue, the law and well has learned from experience to never fall for a firefighter because they are sneaky no matter how hot and gorgeous they are. The thing is that Cinder knows his owner Sam needs a woman like Violet, Sprinkles owner. Right away there may be tension but once Cinder and Sprinkles get together and do a parent trap scheme there's no stopping these two. I loved seeing these cute dalmations working together and boy Sam and Violet are just perfect in every way. The fire deparment and the police have never seen anything like this before and just wow by Teri Wilson. Turtle Beach is definitely a place you want to visit filled with tons of magic, drama, comedy and hello love in every corner.

It was a very cute read.

Definitely a beach read. It was a clean romance which aren't my favorite especially when it's enemies/dislike to lovers but it wasn't terrible. There were definite chemistry between the characters. Especially when pertaining to their dalmatians. Honestly, it was the perfect book to read after watching Cruella.

Thanks @netgalley for the arc!

Violet March and Sam Nash are as different as night and day and have been enemies ever since Violet accused Sam of dognapping her beloved Dalmatian. So when Sprinkles and Cinder accidentally switch places during the annual police vs. fire department softball tournament, Violet is thrilled by her dog’s sudden perfect behavior, while stubborn-yet-charming Sam is horrified to find that his dog no longer listens. But when the dogs are eventually switched back, Sam and Violet are shocked to find that not everything is as simple as it seems.

This book was a fun and cute romcom! Violet and Sam had great chemistry and I enjoyed all the witty lines and pranks. I really liked the small town. It was very heartwarming that all the characters knew each other. It gave me hallmark movie vibes. I also really enjoyed all the quirky side characters, especially Violet's friends from the Senior Home. However, I didn't really like Violet's character. She came off a bit childish and spoiled. This could be because she was overprotected by her male-only family. She didn't really have a major character growth either. Sam seemed more of a well-rounded character and we got to see that in depth.

Overall, this novel was a fast-paced, light and fun read. If you enjoy enemies-to-lovers and opposites attact then you will enjoy A Spot of Trouble by Teri Wilson.
