The idea seemed cute at first. I tried to get past the opening scene with its karen-esque vibe. And it could have worked except the stakes were too low to keep me interested. Thanks for the arc.

A wholesome and very charming, small town romance about two Dalmatian owners who can't seem to stay away from each other. Sam is a big city firefighter recently moved to a small island town with his working dog partner, Cinder. There he keeps bumping into the sweet and sassy cupcake food truck owner, Violet and her equally spunky dog, Sprinkles. Violet is opposed to dating firefighters after her last relationship with one ended poorly. But she can't account for the connection she feels with Sam or the connection between their sweet pups. This was a cute, clean romance with lots of laugh out of loud moments- I would have liked a little more chemistry or steam between the main characters but otherwise a quick and fun read bound to leave a smile on your face.

This story was very cute, if a bit far fetched, pun intended.

Violet is the only girl in a family full of police officers and is the local cupcake baker. She also is the owner of the town’s sole Dalmatian dog, Sprinkles. When a fireman, Sam, moves to town with his own Dalmatian, Cinder, a case of mistaken identity begins, and doesn’t end for quite a while.

There’s a bit of an age old rivalry between the police and the firefighters that comes to a head yearly in the Guns & Hoses softball tournament. Violet is loyal to her family of police officers, but feels a strange attraction to the new fireman in town. Which will she choose: her heart or her family?
This book is sweet and full of heart, and requires a bit of suspicion of belief. However, that doesn’t distract from it charm and readability.

I wish Turtle Beach was a real town with all the characters in it, definitely gave me some Gilmore Girls vibes! Violet is full of fire and spice while Sam is easygoing and friendly! Their meeting may have started off a little rocky but as their friendship turns into a romantic relationship they become each other’s soulmates. I need so much more of them and the characters Teri Wilson brought to life.

A cutesy opposites attract small town romance that feels like a Hallmark movie in the making! When a chaotic cupcake food truck owner and a straight laced firefighter battle it out on and off the field it makes for a bumpy and banter filled ride. This one is pure wholesomeness wrapped up in a hate to love relationship. Whip-smart and full of vibrant characters, a romance that brings joy and a smile to the face!

Violet March has lived in the small town of Turtle Beach her entire life and owns the only Dalmatian in town. So when Sam Nash shows up as the new fire martial, also toting another Dalmatian, Violet is thrown for a loop. She vows to stay away from the infuriating and sexy firefighter, because she’s already gone down that path once before. No matter what Violet does Sam seems to turn up, getting under her skin at every opportunity. Will Sam find away to get past all of Violet’s defenses?

This is such a sweet romance with lots of animal shenanigans. I loved the three little old ladies who were best friends with Violet and the town baseball rivalry between the police enforcement and firefighters. I wish Wilson had developed the relationship between Violet and Sam sooner within the book, but all in all, it was an upbeat and cheerful romance with lots of tender moments!

I had to ‘do not finish’ this one. It was honestly just so boring and obvious what was going to happen, that I felt it wasn’t worth spending my time finishing. It was cute, but boring. This may just be a personal opinion.

I really enjoy Teri Wilson's writing. While this was only my second read by this author, I was once again sucked into the story within the first chapter. Her characters are quirky and easy to like and connect with, and she's a go-to when recommending rom-coms. Usually I'm not big on books that have such a strong focus on dogs, but I found this one to keep my attention and wasn't overly cheesy.

Be still my heart
My goodness what a read. I got pulled into this book because of its gorgeous cover but i got completely sucked into this small town beauty. If you're looking for something sweet and fluffy and I'm not talking about Violet's cupcake then this is the book for you.

I really enjoyed the relationships and scenes between Cinder and Sam & Sprinkles and Violet, they were very sweet and fun to read. I also enjoyed the side story regarding Violet’s mom and her own Dalmatian.

The whole story reads like a Hallmark movie so I was not surprised to find out the author writes for Hallmark! Overall feel good romcom with 101 Dalmatian references and a secret dog swap.

What happens when the new fire chief and a home town bakery have the exact same breed of dog? Will sparks fly between the two or will it be double to trouble? Read this book to find out!
This book was such a light-heart romantic comedy with a wholesome clean romance! I loved the small town community feel, the characters, and of course the wonderful canine companions! Cinder and Sprinkles really stolen the show as well as my heart throughout this book. The town rivalry between the police and the firefighters made for some good old comic relief. The writing and the pacing were well done. This story got ahold of me from the very beginning and did not let go until the very last page. The ending was oh so sweet and well satisfying! I would recommend this book for those who love our canine friends that bring two people together! I can't wait for the next new lease by this author!

A wonderful story full of funny jokes and pranks. The town of Turtle Beach definitely takes its competition between police and firefighters very seriously. The guns in Hoses softball tournament is the highlight of the season. As the daughter of the Chief of Police, violet is of course in favour of the Guns. Last year, however, she lost her heart to one of the Hoses (aka a hot firefighter). But it turned out, he just used her to win the tournament. So this year, Violet will stay clear of the firemen. Sam has just transferred from the big city to the small town of turtle Beach. After a horrendous fire accident, Sam has changed his career from fire fighting to fire prevention. This way, he will not have the stress which was related to his job. Until he meets violet. She, and her dog, are a walking fire hazard. So, Sam’s stress levels are again tested. And although there are also sparks flying (pun intended) between Sam and Violet, he is firmly told to stay away from the town sweetheart by all of his co-workers.

Because Guns ‘n Hoses don’t mix. Ever. Unfortunately Sam’s and Violet’s dog doesn’t seem to have gotten that message. Because they are absolutely smitten.

Can Cinder and Sprinkles teach their owners to appreciate each other? Find out for yourself in this cute read. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

A Spot of Trouble is a as cute as you would think from the cover! It was like a Hallmark and Disney movie combined to make this funny, heartfelt rom-com.

I loved the summer feeling I got while reading and could almost picture myself at this quirky little beach town, enjoying a cupcake from Violet’s cupcake trailer. Violet, who comes from a family of police officers, is the town sweetheart with her crazy dalmation and Sam, a firefighter, who shows up with his dalmation Cinder just in time for the competitive Guns and Hoses softball tournament, have a meet cute that doesn’t turn out the way most meet cutes do. A lot of crazy shenagians ensue, mostly revolving around their two dogs, the senior community, and the softball game. Both Violet and Sam are a little jaded from their pasts, and I found this book focused more on the com instead of the rom as these two remained “enemies” almost up until the very last page, and I would have loved to have some glimpse of what they were like when they were actually together. Although Violet has a great relationship with her brothers and dad, I felt like I needed some closure on some communication issues she had with her dad.

If you love dogs and are maybe looking to hold on to summer a little longer with a funny and rated G read, you should give this a try!

Gosh this book!😍 I am in love! 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Other than the romances I usually read #ASpotOfTrouble was surprisingly clean - no smut and no more than kisses, but it was still perfect!

It was sweet and lovely, absolutely heartwarming and a real #feelgoodbook with wonderful character, two absolutely hilarious dogs (one more so than the other😂) and a cute #smalltown setting with great side characters and a very comical feud within the town. This book is a super quick read, a perfect #RomCom and it will certainly entertain you big time.

The two main characters are polar opposites from each other - as are their dogs, which made for some great laugh-out-loud scenes. But there were also heartwarming and tender moments that brought a small smile to my face and just made me… happy while reading page after page. It was a great journey of two so very different characters who start seeing the good in each other and who both make a great development and find something they were both missing.

Without saying much more than that: This book made my day! I loved every chapter, every page and every line of it. If you love #romanticcomedy , small town settings, #enemiestolovers , cupcakes or just dogs then this is the book for you. Definitely do check it out and let yourself be swept away.🥰💖

Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Spot of Trouble by Teri Wilson
🐶
Violet March and Sam Nash are complete opposites and they've been enemies since Violet accused him of kidnapping her dalmatian. But since the pups are as different as Violet and Sam are he knows there is no chance of they could be mistaken for the other. When Sprinkles (Violet's dog that has a personality as bubbly as her owner) and Cinder (Sam's perfect fire-safety dog in the making) switch places during the annual police vs fire department softball tournament, all hell breaks loose. But.. A little puppy love might just be what finally brings them together.
🐶
This was a fun adorable RomCom that made me laugh and swoon, for both Violet and Sam's sweet romance, but also for their adorable and sometimes mischievous pups. This one is a closed door romance, but it fit well with the story and the characters. It was a flirty low-angst book that delivers on all its fluffy promises.

This was a very cute read. It’s one of those enemies to lovers books and it involves dogs which makes it ten times better to me
Premise
Violet March and Sam Nash are as different as night and day and have been enemies ever since Violet accused Sam of dognapping her beloved Dalmatian. Sam knows that's impossible—for one thing, Cinder is a well-trained fire safety demonstration dog who never steps out of line for serious firefighter Sam. Sprinkles, on the other hand, has never met a command that she didn't ignore completely, much like her bubbly owner. Against a backdrop of canine hijinks and a summertime softball league, the two Dalmatian owners constantly butt heads, but by the time the 4th of July Fireman's Ball rolls around, they begin to realize that sometimes love isn't so clear-cut, and a little puppy love might be just the thing they've been missing...

I love books where the main characters name is Sam as that is a very special name to me! Also it was such a cute concept to involve the two protagonists and their adorable Dalmatians into the plot as well. It’s cute seeing how they both find their way through the obstacles in the book and gone together throughout the novel! It was a cute light easy read. Would make a really cute movie as well.

Oh my, this book was ADORABLE.

I very much enjoy a grump guy and a completely authentic girl. This story gives us this, and so much more.

Im not a dog owner but I adore the personality of these two Dalmatians almost as much as the main characters.

Thank you for the advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Cuteness Overload Ahead!! I felt like this book was part 101 Dalmatians, part The Parent Trap, part romantic comedy and a pure delight! Effervescent and fun, this is the type of read that just makes you feel good. I really liked these characters. Violet and Sam are just so cute together. Again and again, I found myself with a smile on my face as this incredibly quirky woman and this grumpy but oh, so swoon worthy man find love with just a bit of help from their canine buddies. This read that is over the top but in the very best way was a real joy to read.
