Okay, so this one is just super cute. I mean not just the love story but those two Dalmatians are everything and also I really liked how the author didn’t go for making the dogs a couple too. That would have been cringe and predictable too.

I mean it’s enemies to lovers and opposites attract so what not to like. Also the side characters are all so fun be it the Charlie’s Angels or the fire department or the police department.

I literally finished it in one go and would definitely recommend for a light and fast romance.

I am always so excited when I see a new Teri Wilson book come out. She’s one of my go-to authors for fun, light romance and this was another perfect example. This was laugh out loud funny and such a cute story of opposites attract. I loved Violet and Sam, and of course the dogs. It was a quick, easy read. Perfect for vacations or long weekends.

This book was perfect. It was funny and sweet at the same time, which made it a perfect Rom-com. I’m sure I will reread this book at some point in the future, the romance was perfect and the banter with enemies to lovers was all I could ask for. The dalmations added more perfection into the mix, not even mentioning the Charlie’s Angels which were awesome side characters!!
As you can see, perfect is the only way I can describe this book, so if you have the chance to pick this book up and have a good laugh and be surrounded by cuteness, I hope you do it!

I cannot wait for this book to be finally out in the world. I need everyone and their dogs to read this book. I will try not to spoil it.
Violet March and her Dalmatian, Sprinkles are known by all the residents of the Island. Her father the police chief and her family police officers. Since the death of her mother, she has been raised by the islanders and they all see her as their daughter. She volunteers at the residential home and all play bingo with them during the week. She runs a cupcake business that is mostly patronized by her friends and family on the island. After her heart was broken by a fireman the last thing she wants is another firefighter making her heart race.

But, then steamy sexy Sam Nash arrives on the island as a Fire Marshal. He is not alone, he arrives with his Dalmatian, Cinder who is a fire safety dog. Since the two Dalmatians look-alike, Violet and Sam's first meeting involves her calling the police on him for stealing her dog! [It was so freaking cute and embarrassing].

Soon he finds that he has more reasons to stay on the island than the softball tournament that causes trifle.

This book is everything!

ugh the Potential!!! the synopsis of the book was so cute and i was so very ready for it! i mean, a firefighter and two adorable dalmatians who cause chaos together? who could ask for more?

unfortunately this one fell flat. the cop propaganda, the childish ways violet acted and the odd pacing throughout the book. it read easy and was lighthearted but every problem seemed to have Just the right solution. the bickering and tension between the two characters was good but they didn’t seem to really spend enough time together to result in the love they seemed to be in. it seemed out of nowhere.

i did like sam though! he was just doing his job and thought animals should have some form of obedience. like can we really say he’s wrong? also like he’s a fire marshal like yes... save us from disaster.

the ending was rather quick and i think it had to do with the way the story was really told in detail over a span of 2 weeks and then rushed through the last two. even though i got closure, i didn’t fee like i got enough of it. i feel like there was so much opportunity for more.

A spot of trouble is a delightful Rom-com between a grumpy firefighter who thinks his way is the only way (Sam) that has a well behaved Dalmatians called Cinder and a bubbly yoga teacher that bakes who prefers to go with the flow. These two least likely to fall in love people meet when Violet March accuses Sam of dog-napping Sprinkles the small town’s most loved but messy dalmatian . Sprinkles was used to being the only Dalmatian in town but that changes when prim and well trained Cinder arrives. From the onset these two are likely to kill each other before they realize that sparks are flying. The book gets so good when Sprinkles and Cinder accidentally switch places during the annual police vs. fire department softball tournament, Violet is thrilled by her dog’s sudden perfect behavior, while Sam has to wrap around the fact that his dog may have become Sprinkles 2.0. This book is perfect for opposites to attract and dog lovers everywhere

What a sweet, predictable rom-com. The book was fast paced. Violet kind of irked me, but I loved Sam and his attitude. I do with their relationship was not as rushed as it was, but overall, a cute, light read!

This was so adorable and well thought out. I loved the little nods to the live action 101 Dalmatians; especially the bikes. My only complaint is that the spotted antics stopped. I would also have loved some recipes to go along with the mentioned cupcakes but I guess its time to start baking!

Teri Wilson’s books just make me happy! A Spot of Trouble is a delicious romcom, as delectable as the cupcakes that Violet bakes for the town of Turtle Beach! Sam and Violet are complete opposites, and seeing life through different lenses creates tension and barriers of their own making. But their encounters are laugh out loud funny, and when the walls came down it melted my heart. The delightful costars of this book are their two Dalmatians, Cinder and Sprinkles, who add joy and fun to this wonderful story!

Who doesn't love a story revolving around dogs??

Hate to love will forever be a classic trope. Add dogs to it and you've got a perfect recipe! Also, Dalmatians are just the cutest! I loved the prominence of the dogs throughout the story and how they were basically the main characters and what initiated the relationship between Violet and Sam. That's a heck of a meet cute!

I adore the cover, by the way, it's SO pretty!

But more importantly, she is the owner of the town’s only Dalmatian, Sprinkles. She meets fire marshal Sam when she thinks he is dog napping her buddy. But Sam really has his own Dalmatian, Cinder- a point he can prove. When the real Sprinkles shows up he is free to get to his first day of work and off he goes. Only to discover there is a softball feud between the fire department and the police department… and he made the Major Leagues before giving it up for firefighting. Maybe he got the job based on that? As the softball feud plays out Violet and Sam continue their own feud. Or is it a flirt. Sparks are certainly flying.

This is a funny quirky tale of dogs, police, firemen and love. I would recommend this book to my patrons.

LOVED this book! I knew I wanted to read it the second I saw this cover (which I'll admit I'm still kind of obsessed with, I mean...just look at how fun and colorful it is!) and this story immediately had my attention from the first chapter. It has so many fun and fabulous themes:

Speaking of sweet, the baked items in this book had me craving sweet treats of my own on more than one occasion. As a dog lover myself, I loved the journey of both the dogs and their sweet owners throughout the course of this book. Many thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book. Mein Leseerlebnis

“A spot of trouble” bietet eine locker, flockige Liebesgeschichte mit so manch komischer Entwicklung. Trifft der Humor der Autorin den eignen gut, dann wird einen das Buch klasse unterhalten.

Mir hat der Humor am Anfang gut gefallen, er wurde mir aber im verlauf der Geschichte einen Tick zu viel und wirkte teils etwas erzwungen. Es gab ein paar absurde Entwicklungen, ohne die der Roman für mich besser funktioniert hätte.

Generell hatte ich das Gefühl, dass die Geschichte etwas in die Länge gezogen wurde und das Buch als kürzerer Roman mit 150-200 Seiten für mich besser gewesen wäre.

Denke ich an die Charaktere, so fand ich Violet interessanter als Sam. Sam blieb etwas flach und er war mir auch nicht immer sympathisch.

Alles in allem war das Buch ganz nett, nach dem starken Anfang hatte ich allerdings auf mehr gehofft.

A Spot of Trouble by Teri Wilson is an okay read -- I struggled with reading it and staying interested. It was not bad, but not for me personally.

A Spot of Trouble by Teri Wilson is a cute, fun, romcom that will put a smile on your face. With not one, but two adorable dalmations, this book will not fail to give the reader a smile and a chuckle.

Violet Marsh runs a cupcake food truck and is the daughter of the local police chief, and sister to two of the police department officers. She has the only dalmatian in the seaside town of Turtle Beach, North Carolina, whose name is Sprinkles and is a bit unruly. When Sam Nash comes to town to take the job of Fire Marshall, nobody believes his dog Cinder, wasn’t stolen from Violet, as Cinder looks exactly like Violet’s dog Sprinkles.

The local softball tournament between the Police Department and the Fire Department is more of a blood feud than a friendly game, and when Sam and his dog Cinders get involved, Violet must decide which side her loyalties and Sprinkles loyalties preside.

This is such a sweet, albeit predictable story, with the dogs involving themselves in the romance between their masters. The book was fast-paced, and the writing good. The characters were fun, and I related to them both easily. The town of Turtle Beach is full of quirky characters, especially in the Senior Living Home, and they made for a well-rounded story. I recommend this book to lovers of sweet romcoms with adorable dogs. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Do I want a Dalmatian now? I may or may not have pinned a dozen photos to my Pinterest and almost adopted five. Do I also want to move to a small town in South Carolina? I may have looked up property and apartment and jobs there. This book encompasses everything cute and pure and lovely into a rom-com. I thought it was cute and fun and flirty. You need nothing more.

In "A Spot of Trouble," Violet and Sam are archenemies who have matching dalmatians. Violet comes from a cop family, and Sam is the fire captain at the local firehouse. In their small beach town, the cops and the firefighters have a huge feud, which culminates in a yearly baseball game. I enjoyed the sparks between Violet and Sam, but felt that the "obstacles" between them were overblown and appeared far too often.

Enemies-to-lovers, dog-switching, dalmations, firemen, and a small town! Oh my! Tropes galore in A Spot of Trouble, but I still had fun with it. That said, I didn't 100% LOVE Violet. I have a hard time with overly-bubbly "good" characters, but it wasn't a complete no for me. Her and Sam's instalove relationship wasn't believable, but hey, it's a fun, light romance!

A fun read.
Violet is used to having the only dalmatian in town, so when Sam turns up with his own spotty dog, Violet is not impressed.
They are on opposing side anyway, cops vs fire fighters, but some well meaning matchmakers set out to change this, causing chaos along the way!

This is a light fun read with ‘puppy love’. Set in a small town with the classic cops vs firefighter rivalry. Violet, Sam, and their fur babies Sparkles and Cinder will warm your heart. Their original dislike for each other fuels the enemies-to-lovers plot.

Their dogs end up getting switch, being a dog owner, I don't see how one wouldn't notice it since i'm sure their behaviors are vastly different, that being said...it was amusing.

Violet did tend to get a bit annoying more often than not and the ending felt rushed and didn’t have a lot of redeeming qualities.
