You see, I was facing my biggest reading slump yet when they approved this arc for me, and I wanted to scream because God, this cover is just so beautiful but I couldn't bring myself to read the book. So I decided to take a break and give it the opportunity when I was feeling a little better. And so I did it.

First of all, excuse me if there's any mistakes of grammar or something, this is not my first language and I'm still practicing it. Second of all, I really liked this book. It's not my favorite in the whole world, but it was a cute read to pass the time. I feel like the concept of modern witches was funny and entertaining, and I liked that there was diversity and the story, but there was something so... convenient? Yeah, let's call it that, convenient about all of this. Like, all the stuff with the curse in Danika's family, how they know the truth just until the end? Why nobody asked questions way before?? The grandmother was making all of their lives miserable and they never asked anything about it, I mean...

Also, I think the romance was so sudden, they were in love way too fast for my liking, but again, they had a reason for that to happen and it's reveled at the end, so I'll take it, but can you see where I'm coming from with the convenient factor thing?

I liked the characters too. I don't know why I didn't feel any deep connections with them, because they were endearing and had hilarious thoughts all the time. Let's blame that on me, I guess. There was something I just didn't click with, and that's okay because it doesn't made me hate it or dislike it. Maybe it was the practically instant romance they had... I wanted angst, pinning and forbidden love, all with funny banter and slow burn... because the premise of the book have all the potential for it. But they were in love since the beginning and Titus wanted to marry her since he saw her for the first time. I think this sounds romantic in the theory... but in practice, not so much.

I also laughed out loud when they explained why Titus had terrible luck in love since he was young and remain a virgin all that time. Poor guy, he had no idea. But again, all that situation could be handled in a different way... I felt like it didn't have the importance they made it seem to have in the sinopsis, and it was over without much thought. I mean, I guess it's better not to put much idea in it, after all is a social construction and all that, but the concept of a male virgin love interest it's quite rare, and it would be interesting to see it develop the way it is with female ones. Like that would be cool, you know? See the roles reverse just for once.

Overall, like I said in the beginning, it was a cute read. It has diversity, it has family drama and friendships... and I think this series has so much potential. Looking forward to the next one.

Love this book! I was in the mood for something fun and easy to read and I got it right with this one! Sometimes it all depends on your mood and I was in the right mind frame to be able to enjoy this one.

In Witch Please, Aguirre give us a laugh-out-loud rom-com full of delicious baked goods.

Danica Waterhouse is just a modern witch, running a small repair shop, and fending off her grandmother’s attempts at matchmaking when she gets called to the Sugar Daddy bakery to fix an oven. Not only is Sugar Daddy known for it’s delicious baked goods, it’s also known for it’s handsome owner and lead baker Titus Winnaker. When the two set off literal sparks around each other, Danica gives into her desires and breaks all the magical rules to date a lowly “mundane". But Titus is all in. He’s completely smitten with Danica and is willing to realign the stars to keep them together.

This is such a fun book! I loved the dynamics between Danica and her roommate/cousin/coworker and the way the coven used a book club as a cover. The rules about witches not dating “mundanes” wasn’t anything new or original and I think it was better that way. This made the characters really work for their relationship and focus on family and friends more than the magic. Plus, it made when Danica’s grandmother kept sending her witchy dating profiles even funnier.

The banter between Danica and Titus was fun and really well done. They had really great chemistry together and it was such a joy to watch them fall in love with each other. I really liked how Danica’s magic fritzed out around Titus and she was constantly trying to hide it. The chemistry was literally electric between them! It was also a nice twist to have Titus be a bisexual virgin who just may be under a romantic curse.

Overall, this a fun, funny, and charming love story. It was a joy to read from the very first page and will keep you giggling for hours.
Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to read and review this title. All opinions and mistakes are my own.

Witch Please was a delightful read featuring a romance between a witch and an adorable baker who is cursed in love.

Danica Waterhouse runs Fix-It Witches, a magical tech repair shop, with her cousin and fellow witch Clementine. After their grandmother gets pushy about them settling down with the "right" kind of witch, Danica and Clem make a pact to avoid love. But when Danica meets Titus Winnaker, owner of the bakery down the street from her store, sparks fly both literally and figuratively. As their attraction grows by the day, Danica finds herself in deeper than she expected to be. Soon Danica will have to decide if her newfound relationship with Titus will be enough to overcome the obstacles in their path.

Danica comes from a long line of witches and her magic manifests as technology magics. This means Danica can repair any technology which her repair shop serves as a great cover for. Danica's grandmother is very biased against mundanes and believes Danica should make an alliance with another strong witch family through marriage. It takes Danica a long time to stand up to her grandmother and her meddling but I was so happy when she finally did. Something I enjoyed about her character is that Danica is allergic to cats despite adoring them and often finds them following her around. There's one cat in particular that belonged to her neighbor that would show up far from home to get her attention which I absolutely loved.

Titus is an absolute sweetheart and I really enjoyed his character. Until now, Titus has been cursed in love and he's never had a relationship last long leading to him still being a virgin past thirty. I felt terrible for Titus after learning about how poorly all of his relationships went prior to Danica. Titus does have a lot of anxiety around relationships which causes him to panic a lot about his relationship with Danica but knowing his history, it was understandable.

Danica and Titus's relationship starts out fantastically with some excellent banter. The chemistry between them in their first few scenes together was amazing and immediately drew me in. Initially Danica views their romance as something light and fun while Titus is all in right from the start. Their relationship turns physical fairly quickly and while the steamy scenes are normally my favorites in romances, I didn't completely love the scenes in this book. For example, there's some oddly stilted dialog during their first time together that lessened my enjoyment of the scene. Near the last quarter of the book, their relationship hits a snag but I enjoyed the way the pair worked everything out. There is one thing I didn't like about how the book ended that is a bit of a spoiler. (view spoiler)

Overall Witch Please was an enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend it. I'm looking forward to reading Clementine's book, Boss Witch, when it releases next year.

This was so cute! The bi hero sold me originally, and the fun setting and adorable fluff kept me. And it's spicy as heck! A perfect fall read to warm you up while you settle into spooky season.

Lighthearted, romantic books about modern witches seem to be getting more and more popular. This is a great choice, with engaging characters and a fresh plot. I look forward to recommending it.

Well, I’ve enjoyed a lot of Ann’s books, so I was excited to get to this one…sadly, I’m a bit disappointed.

I liked Danica and Titus well enough. They’re both good people with good intentions; however, they are painfully bland. Danica’s cousin and Titus’s sister are delightful and so are the “book club” people.

Plot wise, there’s a lot going on. Threads of conflict were introduced and then never picked back up. Additionally, I just couldn’t get invested in their relationship and skimmed a lot more of this story then I meant to.

Overall, I wanted to love this, but it just didn’t work for me.

**Huge thanks to the publisher for providing the arc free of charge**

Archived before I could download so I wasn't able to give a review for this arc. I'm sure it's a great book though and I've heard great things.

Witch Please by Ann Aguirre is a contemporary, witchy romance. Danica Waterhouse is a fully modern witch—daughter, granddaughter, cousin, and co-owner of the Fix-It Witches, a magical tech repair shop. After a messy breakup that included way too much family "feedback," Danica made a pact with her cousin: they'll keep their hearts protected and have fun, without involving any of the overly opinionated Waterhouse matriarchs. Danica is more than a little exhausted navigating a long-standing family feud where Gram thinks the only good mundane is a dead one and Danica's mother weaves floral crowns for anyone who crosses her path. Three blocks down from the Fix-It Witches, Titus Winnaker, owner of Sugar Daddy's bakery, has family trouble of his own. After a tragic loss, all he's got left is his sister, the bakery, and a lifetime of terrible luck in love. Sure, business is sweet, but he can't seem to shake the romantic curse that's left him past thirty and still a virgin. He's decided he's doomed to be forever alone. Until he meets Danica Waterhouse. The sparks are instant, their attraction irresistible. For him, she's the one. To her, he's a firebomb thrown in the middle of a family war. Can a modern witch find love with an old-fashioned mundane who refuses to settle for anything less than forever?

Witch Please is a romance that had its ups and down for me. I really liked the different components, but I do not think they all came together quite right. First off, I did like the characters, and thought that their banter with each other and their larger circles was well done and entertaining. There were some issues with the alternating voices, occasionally leaing me confused about who said or thought something. I really enjoyed most of the secondary characters, and would love to see more of them. This includes family and friend of both Danica and Titus. I liked the set up for Danica's power and family drama. I thought the drama of Titus's family was a little unnecessary, and kept waiting for there to be some kind of magical connection or issue there with how strange some aspects felt. I honestly expect one or more additional magical twists. I liked all of the individual parts, but it felt like we were getting an information dump for a series starter built into this story. There were just more story threads than really needed to be there to tell Danica and Titus's story. I do kind of want this to be a series starter because I have several questions left that I want answered about the secondary characters and their possible relationships, the neighbor's cat, the witch hunter, the grandmother, and more. That being said, I liked the characters and the world building but the book felt a little disjointed. If there are follow up books, I will be giving them a chance.

Witch Please is a book with some great potential that might lead to even better follow ups.

This was an undeniably uplifting and happy book about true love and modern crisis! I ended up really enjoying it.

Cute romance is my favorite, however I didn't realize (this is completely my fault and won't count towards my rating) that it was an adult romance with Mature content when requesting to review it, so that caught me off guard a lot as I'm not really fond of that genre

Danica and Clem were so cute as characters and honestly I loved the portrayal of witches. It wasn't a carbon copy of every witch plot ever, but it didn't mock them either. It was strong on its own. And also the characters were just so full! Like I felt for all of them, not just the mains!

Actual rating: 3.5 stars

I have only read the first book in Aguirre's YA Razorland series which is no where near the same genre as this new series, but I remember enjoying it and following her on Goodreads, so jumped at the opportunity to read this adult rom-com witchy book. My rating isn't super high but don't let that fool you, this book was still a good time. I really liked the characters and the plotline. I found it to be a bit cheesy at times and instalove isn't my favorite. But the characters really did sell this - Danica is amazing. She's fierce and I really love her brand of witchiness and how it manifests. Titus...seriously a bisexual virgin baker. What more is there to love? I loved the brief moments of animals within the story. The spicy times were well written and also very well delivered. Perfect amount of angsty lust! This isn't the strongest written book I've ever read and it certainly has some weak points, however, it has a very high enjoyability factor and it's a quick read, so I will absolutely continue with the series.

Absolutely loved this book. The title and cover had me so intrigued and I was not disappointed. I loved the characters, the plot and the setting. Such a great book for spooky season

I listened to this immediately after I finished The Ex Hex, and I was just as disappointed with this one. Witch Please is even more unrealistic and out there. The romance felt too easy, and the reason they couldn’t be together felt too dumb. Also, if Danica had has one conversation with her mom, the whole “problem” of the book could have been avoided. I did love that Danica’s coven was disguised as a book club. I’d pass on this one.

Thanks to @NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca and for my ARC!

Danica Waterhouse is a witch, who owns a magical tech-repair shop with her cousin. One day, she meets Titus Winaker, the owner of Sugar Daddy's bakery and their undeniable chemistry blossoms into something more. Only problem is, he's a mundane, and her Gram has never been shy of her dislike towards his kind due to their inability to keep the witch bloodline going. Danica has been told her whole life that if she were to love a mundane, she would lose her powers forever. Danica must find a way to make both sides happy, or lose a once in a lifetime love.

This was a lot of fun. I wasn't the biggest fan in the beginning, due to the INSANE instalove... but the second half of the book definitely picked up for me and I found myself enjoying it. I listened to this on audio, and did enjoy the narrator's style. I enjoyed the complex family dynamics and how both Danica and Titus needed to navigate each of them. I loved Danica and thought she was fierce and stood up for what she wanted. Especially when it came to her grandmother in the end. I also loved Titus, we love a bisexual king who is also a TOTAL SWEETHEART. I was very confused how he could possibly be a virgin since he seemed to be PERFECT, but it all makes sense in the end. Still not a fan of the whole instalove thing though, the instant Titus saw Danica he was like "yup, she's the one" without uttering a single word to one another. It was just weird, in my opinion. The sex scenes were steamy, and I like how the characters always sought consent before they engaged with one another. I enjoyed the witch hunter aspect of the story, but felt like that plotline got lost halfway through... I'm hoping it will be explored more in the future books.

Magic, Love, forbidden romance- what more can you ask for. Danica is a witch who can only marry her own kind. Titus owns a bakery and has all the women of the town lined up for miles to see him- aka-The Cinnaman. When his oven goes on the fritz, he resorts to Fix-it Witches, Danica, and her cousin's business. After one meeting, Titus feels like he's fallen in love. This was such a meet-cute story and feel right. I loved Danica's character.

I wanted to like this one more than I did. I liked the premise but the bad family relationships and subplots took away from my overall enjoyment.

Title: Witch Please
Author: Ann Aguirre
Ch: 30
Pg: 362
Series:Fix-it Witches
Genre: Rom Com
Rating: 4 stars
Publisher: Sourcebooks.

I have to say I didn't know what to expect reading this one, as main stream rom com's outside my comfort zone for the most part. And they tend to be misses for me. However Witch Please was not it was a hit. A bookish rom com that did indeed give me Practical Magic my favorite rom com don't tell me its not meets Gilmore Vibes. Danica Waterhouse and Titus Winnaker are book adorable and unlucky in love. But complete opposites she's a witch he's mortal baker. Gotta love a man that can bake and cook and reads romance novels. Titus reminded me a bit of Luke from Gilmore girls. I wanted to finish the book because I wanted to know what happened, but on the same note I didn't because I didn't want it to end. The sign of a good book

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

I was so excited to receive this book in anticipation of Halloween!

You could pretty much write any book about a witch and I would read it.

The meet cute is adorable and the relationship between them sucked me in.

Reading about the secondary characters felt like I was a part of their family.

This book was cute and heart warming and perfect for lovers of Halloween!

Whenever I see an interesting cover on Netgalley of an author I don't know, I usually check out Goodreads. From all of the other books of Ann Aguire, this one certainly stood out. A bit more romantic than the covers of her Razorland or Sirantha Jax series. And indeed, the story of Danica and Titus is sweet and funny.
Danica is trying to steer clear of Titus. Because she feels totally attracted to the sweet baker. But her gram, who has practically raised her, doesn't want to have her falling in love and marrying a mundane. Because then Danica will lose her witch powers, just like her mother.
Titus and his sister are running the bakery, a couple of blocks from the Fix-IT witches store of Danica and her cousin. After several crazy breakups, Titus is almost certain that he is cursed somehow. At thirty, he is still a virgin and all of his relationships have ended. But after meeting Danica, he knows she is 'the one' for him. Unfortunately, Danica is giving him the cold shoulder. But Titus is determined to win her heart. Danica, on the other hand, is trying to keep her resolve from crumbling. Because Titus is just too good to be true. But no man is worth giving up her witch powers, or is he? Torn between her love and her life, what will Danica do? Read on in Witch Please if you want to find out.
Three and a half stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

My thanks to NetGalley for making an eArc copy of this book available to me.

Too many toxic family relationships for my taste, Still, it's a cute read and has a nice ending. The food, dog, and cat scenes were a big plus.
