Beautifully illustrated book, perfect for introducing or talking about books to your little ones. Whether they are just getting into books, or you want to talk to them bout books and libraries, this is perfect way to start.

Our little bookish heroine has the wildest library ever, with everything from a sundae bar to a water slide.

I absolutely love it and think it's a fun, imaginative book, that can get those creative juices flowing (although we all know most of our little ones don't need help with activating their imagination). In any case, I recommend it!

Thanks NetGalley for the arc! This was the cutest book! SO much fun to read and imagine building your own library. My toddler (3.5) was happy to go on this fun journey to build a library and fill it with all the stories and characters. I loved the cute illustrations and enjoyed reading the story aloud to her. I would love to build my own library and the big comfy chair was my dream reading chair. Highly recommend, would read over and over with delight!

In this picture book, a child's dream library is built to even include dragons and a waterslide...neither of which seems safe around books! But if you can build your own library (with the help of a giant), why not add all of your favorite things?

I like that this book promotes the love of libraries and reading. I just didn't feel that the book was anything that stood out from the rest. Furthermore, some of the additions to the library seem as though they would detract from reading, such as the playground. In a world where screen time is the new playtime, I'm all for promoting reading, though.

I received a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and Capstone Editions.

Absolutely wonderful! This is a beautiful story about being able to explore your imagination with beautiful illustrations to go with it. It will really help some children understand the enjoys of reading, how to use their books to aid their imagination and hopefully use their imagination in their play.

This one was cute! I liked how inventive she was with using things to build her library and all the characters she included. This will be a fun one for kids to think about how they could build their own library.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC!

My son is 6 and absolutely loved reading this book. It has simple words that he knows, and beautiful pictures that he loved to look at the details of. This is so cute and perfectly in line with our love of libraries! Can't wait for this one to come out so we can pick it up and enjoy it over and over again.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book, So You Want To Build a Library by Lindsay Leslie. I will be cross-posting this review to Goodreads. I reviewed a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I used Adobe Digital Editions to view the documents error-free.

Initial thoughts: Do I want to build a library? Yes, since I was young. So, young budding bibliophiles may be really interested in this book. Cover = very cute. Illustrations = very cute. Premise = very cute.

One of my fav cute bits (and ideas, by the way....) is the full-service ice cream bar with unlimited scoops. Alright... I'm sold.

Really, this book is just cute. It's short, it's concise, the words are age-level appropriate. It's just fun.

So You Want To Build a Library by Lindsay Leslie is a very cute children’s book about building a library with books. Children love books. My daughter has a library of children’s books. I think this is one of the perfect books for children. Children will love this book so many wonderful pictures are in this book. The illustrations are very colorful. Children when they think about building a library of books and will expand their love of reading. Maybe one day they will hear about giraffes for instance and they will need to get that book.
