Look, I did not think I'd find one book I read this year, let alone two, to which the phrase "hazardously horny" could apply, but my god we did it.

These characters were so god damn horny it was unreal.

Like, they were fine, but basically this book can be summed up as: heartbroken man who never should have been a priest because he decided way too early on in life meets chaotic woman who only loves the unattainable and they fall for each other and it becomes everyone's problem.

Also, I think I might have liked it more if I had read the other two books in this (apparent) series first??? I did not know Not the Girl You Marry and Not That Kind of Guy were in any way linked to this and so I felt like I didn't quite understand an inside joke a few times, but whatever.

They were just juvenile and horny and the idea was there, it was just so thrown together and surface level it felt slightly .... incomplete. But whatever it was fine. I finished it in two days because I could not stop listening to these characters be whatever they were and honestly, Andrew Eiden could read my the phone book and I would hang on every word so that beautiful voice is what really saved this.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me an early copy!!! I'm so sorry it took me so long!!

I had some very mixed feelings going into this book and was hesitant to start. Once I finally started I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I wasn't sure how the whole priest thing was going to work in a romance. Andie handled it fantastically. The relationship growth felt realistic and Patrick's reasoning throughout the story made you empathetic to his struggle.

Andie Christopher is a great author! But unfortunately I have not read this, and won't be getting to it anytime soon. I'm looking forward to more of her books, and the stories she'll tell as a BIPOC romance author!

This had the potential to be so steamy and was actually surprised by the steam it did have being trad pub. The forbidden of it all was chefs kiss! I just wish there was a little more build up to them falling for each other. However, I think this is a great book to get your journey started in forbidden romance. It had the right amount of romance, Steam, angst, and forbidden. Not too much of a Pearl clutcher!

I've been looking forward to reading Hot Under His Collar since I read the first book in this series, Not The Girl You Marry, and was introduced to Father Patrick Dooley. I'm happy to say that this book lived up to and even exceeded my expectations. Father Patrick's struggles with his faith felt genuine and earned, and I appreciated that he wasn't only struggling because of his attraction to Sasha, but also because of his own internal doubts that had nothing to do with her. Sasha's arc was satisfying in its own right, too; I am a sucker for any kind of found family story, and I admired Sasha's fierce love for her friends, which served to fulfill her despite the difficulties she faced with her family. The sexual chemistry between these two characters leapt off the page from the very start, and I was glad to see how their personalities meshed and how they were able to trust one another as well. Overall, this was a well-balanced, sexy, often beautiful romance novel that addressed some difficult topics around patriarchy, toxic institutions like the Catholic Church, and the selflessness of love. I hope that Andie J. Christopher continues to improve through her future releases, since this was the strongest book of hers I've read so far.

Thank you to Berkley Publishing for my copy of Hot Under His Collar by Andie J. Christopher.

I think that Christopher is not an author for every reader. But she is definitely for me! I love all her books and especially this one! Her writing style is racy and blunt. I love the spice level of this book and the forbidden romance... especially that one scene at the bar!

Hot Under His Collar is the third book in the series. It could be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the first two in the series to get a better background for it, and also because they are great! I liked Sasha right off, but as her story came out with her family, I just loved her more. He mother was awful! Patrick's background and reasons for becoming a priest were honorable. But I'm so glad he came to terms with that and made choices for his own self in the end.

This is my first title by this author and going in I did not know that this was apart of a series. I wish I had, there were some things I didn't get because of that. I did enjoy the romance aspect and I do love a priest romance. Looking forward to more.

The perfect followup to the second season of Fleabag. Not the greatest romance I read in 2021, but definitely a fun way to capitalize on a newly formed niche of readers

Full of angst and heat, with off-the charts chemistry between the main characters. So much emotion and grounded conflict. Perfect for fans of "Fleabag,"

I'm a sucker for a forbidden romance w/ a Priest so I am especially grateful the publisher granted my wish for this ARC copy!! Thank you so much!!!
While I loved the chemistry, banter, and forbidden fruit aspects of this story a LOT, I also really loved learning more in-depth about the characters and their backstories.
I think Andie J. Christopher is a wonderful storyteller and is such a joy to follow on social media, I will definitely continue to read her books!!!

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to read this one because I changed my kindle email address and forgot to update it on Netgalley, so it never arrived to my device. *facepalm*

Okay, let's be honest, we all picked this up because we wanted to read something to satisfy a priest kink. When I decided to read this though, I didn't realize that this was the third book in a series and that by skipping the first ones I would be missing so many things. Frequently the author makes references that I didn't get. Usually in romances I'm used to authors writing a series so that each book can be read as a standalone without being totally in the dark.
Anyway, I wasn't a fan of the insta love that occurs between the protagonists without any chemistry.
I was left feeling like the author watched season 2 of Fleabag and was inspired, but did not execute with success.

Unfortunately, I just didn't enjoy this one. I went in hoping for Fleabag vibes, but I just didn't get them. I also didn't feel much chemistry between the two leads. It felt a little close to instalove for my tastes. Outside of the romance, the plot was a little slow and really didn't grip me.

Sasha was just unlikeable to me. I couldn’t get on board with her as a character so it was hard to connect with the story line at all.

Hot woman’s finds hot man attractive, hot man finds ho woman attractive. They are forbidden. Eventually, they succumb to their attraction.

Typical and predictable, not in the best way.

Honestly, I wasn’t planning on admitting that I’d read this book, but it was funny and heartwarming, and now I recommend it to all my romance-fan regulars!

Ahem...I'm gonna need more priest romances ASAP! This was so fun and steamy. Another great release from Andie J. Christopher.

I couldn't get into this one. The writing fell flat for me - there were efforts to be funny, but it didn't seem funny to me at all. I also didn't feel a connection with either of the characters, so didn't really care that much whether they got together.

Sexy priest romance? Don't mind if I do ;)
This was hilarious and super fun to read, but I was expecting it to be a bit more steamy than it was. Andie is an author who I adore, and she did not disappoint with this installment.

It's not that this was bad per-say, it's just that it wasn't for me. I went in with high expectations and just didn't feel that the book lived up to it. I mean, it's not like I wouldn't recommend it, but I don't think I'd ever re-read. It was hard for me to get through, I was never fully invested, but for some people - this could be one of their favourite books in the world. It's just not for me.

This was such a fun surprise! I didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did, especially since this is a third book in a series and I have not read the previous installments. But I really enjoyed this! I connected with the characters and I sympathized with their struggles.

I am such a sucker for a forbidden romance and I have never read a priest romance, and not gonna lie, I was into it. Sasha and Patrick had off the charts chemistry even before anything happened between them, and that is very hard to accomplish.

It was kind of insta lovey, which is not my favorite romance trope, but the angst and longing and forbidden aspect to it made up for it.

I could have done without Sasha's family drama, but I get that there needed to be an internal conflict for her to come to terms with her feelings for Patrick. Patrick's conflict also didn't feel that much of a conflict because he was already feeling uneasy about being a priest It was all a little too convenient for my taste.

Overall, super solid romance with good spice. I would definitely recommend it!

Thank you Berkley Publishing Group and Netgalley for providing me with this ARC (Advanced Reader's Copy) in exchange for an honest review.
