I've been waiting for this couple's story, how Christine would resolve the issues  the hostilities,  between them and explain the reasons for them...since book one...building the tension, the possibilities in each book...She doesn't disappoint! From "I knew it" to "OMG I can't believe it"  this book takes you into the heart of their storm!

The Ferraros and Saldis have a long standing war from generations past. Both will not tolerate betrayal against their own. They will do anything to protect those loyal to them. But the feud set between them starts to wane when two bridge their hatred and fall in love. Walls are questioned, too, when trouble within the Saldi Family starts to threaten the Ferraro family, Riders, and innocents more than a feud.  When these threats are best faced together.

When treachery starts an internal war, Valentino steps up to head his family. He has to rid it of traitors those who go against his command. It is seen that there is a need for someone like Valentino Saldi to keep control, to keep dangerous crimes from running out of control. He loves Emmanuelle, those after him put her in danger, too. His past actions are revealed along with an interesting bit of lore the Saldis have about shadows. He realizes it is true. Lore that may endanger riders if misused. The lore he does not want Emmanuelle to know about completely because he loves her, he wants her to choose him because he is her choice not because of any possible lore.

Emme is a strong beautiful woman, a deadly assassin, but also vulnerable and filled with insecurities. Ones she needs to work through to do the things she needs to do...to find love and realize she deserves it. All the emotional and verbal abuse piled on her by her mother, Eloisa. It caused her see her own version of truth about Val. Emmanuelle loved Val, she was about to sacrifice all she held dear to her before she felt his betrayal.

Valentino knew she had to make her choice about him.  He could not force it…but He was not going to lose the woman meant for him…the alpha in him made sure she listened and heard the truth. That she understood what she meant to him. He was one who not only saw how amazing she was but insisted she know it, too.

Emme knew the true Val, loved him for the man he was, his desire to change how bloodthirsty his family was… rebuild with his direction. She accepted him and his cousin. Not as a Saldi from an old feud but the man he was.

I love how their story is written. How as they have several emotional and dreamy sigh moments…families come together to weed out treachery within each, to save others. There’s action and justice served by both family codes. There is tenderness and passion. Bridges built. And a choice made after the storm is weathered to choose love, to be with the one they love. They grow as a team, partners. Willing to accept the judgment of others and know they always have each other, that they accept each other. I’m so glad Emme and Val have their HEA, with all its OMG moments.

The storyline made me suspend the Alpha Card of a character for not following his own advice, for not doing everything in his power to be with the one who's shadow matched his. I think it was a brilliant thread because it made Val read stronger, a true determined alpha. To be the man his woman wants and loves.

As usual there are threads stretching for more stories. My love of this series was not diminished but grew. More family to find HEA, one secondary will hopefully have his alpha card reinstated…although I might have seen him as beta all along. I hope he matures into an Alpha.  Vague yes, but its because you need to read!!

After learning how the 2 of them fell in love we see how they reconnect and all the adventure this brings to the book as well as how they develop in their relationship. What a great ride of a book!

Starting this review off with a possible trigger warning. This book deals with human trafficking and abuse. If either of these are something you may not be able to handle well, you will probably not want to read this book.
A long simmering feud comes to a head in this newest addition to the Shadow Series. Emmanuelle Ferraro has watched each of her brothers find their happy ever after while her heart has been shattered. Emme is contemplating an arranged marriage when she receives word that Valentino Saldi has been shot. When she is told what Val has been up to and that lead to his shooting her first instinct is to call big brother Stefano for help. Stefano comes and is filled in on what Val was trying to do and makes the decision to become allies.
Emme and Val’s road is somewhat rockier than her brothers were. They have to work through not only what she perceived as Val’s betrayal but also the abuse that Emme received over the years from her mother. Add that to trying to stop a human trafficking in their own backyard and we’ve got one humdinger of a story.
Shadow Storm gives you a little bit of everything and ties them up in a nice package. Don’t expect an easy read that you can put down and leave for a while because it isn’t that type of story. We are dealing with human trafficking (mostly children) and an abusive parent. You will have your emotions rocked big time and those feelings will stick with you. Emme and Val’s story was everything I hoped it would be and then some.

SHADOW STORM is the sixth instalment in Christine Feehan’s contemporary, adult SHADOW RIDER erotic, paranormal romance series series focusing on the Ferraro family. This is Emmanuelle Ferraro and Valentino Saldi’s story line. SHADOW STORM can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Shadow Rider male must find his mate –a woman who is capable of riding the shadows-or at the very least with the ability to bear children with the shadow-riding gene. Within the family, the Ferraro siblings are tasked with finding a mate, fated by DNA, who is capable of continuing the family line. People with the ability to ride the shadows are few and far between, and future generations are at risk if no mates are found with the shadow-riding gene. The Ferraro’s are also part of the Chicago Underworld-a crime family linked to both legal and criminal activity.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Emmanuelle and Valentino) SHADOW STORM focuses on the forbidden relationship between Emmanuelle Ferraro and Valentino Saldi. The Saldi and Ferraro family have been at war for as long as anyone can remember . Both are a powerful members of the criminal underworld, and in this, are in direct competition with one another but Emmanuelle’s attraction and need for Valentino has not gone unnoticed-there is something about their shadows that cannot be contained. Valentino Saldi has known Emmanuelle Ferraro is his fated mate the day his shadow reached out and started to intertwine with Emmanuelle’s shadow but the Saldi’s are not Shadow Riders, and in this, their shadows are something else, something ‘other’. An attack against the Saldi’s at their exclusive and heavily armed compound points a heavy finger at an inside job revealing a dark and dangerous secret of human trafficking. With the help of the Ferraro family, Valentino takes control of the Saldi crime family, cleaning house at all costs but someone has targeted our story line heroine, and Valentino is taking no prisoners in his fight to protect the woman he loves.

The relationship between Emmanuelle and Valentino is one of the forbidden; a Romeo and Juliet style of relationship where the potential for war is always close at hand but Emmanuelle struggles with the realization that something else plays a large part in the attraction between our leading couple, something of which Emmanuelle was never in control. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and aggressive.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and powerful secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous story line couples, as well as several cousins and members of the extended Ferraro family, and the Ferraro matriarch Eloise and her significant other Henry. We are introduced Valentino’s cousin and right hand man Dario, and Valentino’s father Giuseppe. The requisite evil has many faces.

SHADOW STORM is a story of betrayal and vengeance; power and control; horrific crimes against children and women. Christine Feehan’s stories have become increasingly more violent and graphic with references to child trafficking, slavery and abuse, killings and rape, and most of it directed at the female characters, therefore, a warning of potential triggers is definitely a must. The premise is raw and gritty; the romance is fated and impassioned; the characters are animated, forceful and captivating. SHADOW STORM is a dark, emotional and heart breaking story of about the abuse of power, and the twisted world of human trafficking.

Shadow Storm takes a dark turn in the Shadow Riders world as two enemy families join forces to fight an even deadlier threat to Chicago. Where deadly secrets threaten to become exposed, love and loyalties are tested and a chemistry so volatile, it has the power to destroy as much as it does to heal. Where friend and foe are interchangeable. Where the lines between good and evil, love and hate and sinner and saint are often blurred and obliterated. And when you cross a Ferraro, all bets are off…

Emme has always loved Val but their families don't get along and her brothers have never really listened to her when she tried to tell them her feelings for Val. But Emme goes to him when she finds out he's been shot and when she calls her brother's for help, they don't hesitate to help Val and his family.

Val loves Emme but he said some things about her that really hurt her and even though he tried to make it right they are no longer together. So he's shocked to see her and her family after he wakes up after surgery for the bullet wounds he sustained.

After Val's uncle tries to kill him and his adopted father and he's gotten through surgery, his uncle comes back with his men to finish the job but by that time Emme's family is there to make sure they don't succeed. There's a huge fight but the Ferraro family is really good at killing the bad guys. Val is more than mad when he finds out that his uncle has been selling kids and women to the highest bidder and has horrible dungeons in some of his clubs where really bad things are going on. After finding out all this information and more he enlists Emme's family to help him rescue the kidnapped kids and women, shut down the clubs and make the responsible people pay for it all. There's a lot of bloodshed and a lot of action in this book but it was great to see the Ferraro and Saldi family's working together to get it done.

There was one heck of a twist at the end but I really liked seeing Val and Emme finally come together. Sure they had a lot of things to work through and the whole shadow binding thing was just weird but I was glad to see Emme happy at last. All of the brothers and their wives are in this book and I really liked seeing all of them again. This series is best read in order because there are so many characters to get to know.

I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thought and opinions are my own.

This is my favorite Shadow Rider story yet. Emmanuelle is such a deeply complex character from mother-induced abuse, that it would take a strong loving man to help her thrive. I say help her – not make her. Yes, Valentino is all alpha male, but he appreciates Emme’s strengths and intelligence. He’s perfect for her. I also liked how you didn’t quite know if his intentions were good or not at first. Their relationship was intriguing and adds a lovely new arc to the series. They are both well developed characters and I immediately became invested in their happily-ever-after….not just for the smoking hot sex.

The storyline itself was dark and yet exciting. (A warning to those who cannot handle child sex-trafficking stories.) Thankfully, it didn’t dwell on the actual abuse happening, but it was disturbing and deepened my anxiousness while reading. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to keep up with the mystery, violence, excitement, and love. Nor the interesting way the two rival families learned to work together and learn more about each other. I can honestly say that I did not see that ending coming! Hopefully, we hear more about Dario, Val’s right hand man. I love him!

I received a copy of this book for review from NetGalley. I have to admit, I have been wondering for a while now how this couple was going to work, and I was very glad that this question was finally going to be answered. Emme and Val were from two opposing families, and she had always worried about whether they could actually be together. Obviously, because this is a romance, they do find a way, but they had a lot of work to do first. Emme has a lot of emotional baggage from her awful mother, and honestly, the girl needs therapy. I'm glad she finally got some support from her love, but I was left feeling like she needs more. The story, while occasionally repetitive, is extremely compelling. I got sucked in right from the beginning, and I gobbled it right up. I'm not sure if this is the end of the series, but it feels like at the very least, the end of a long arc, This book's ties up quite a few loose ends from the series, but there are a couple of threads that could definitely be sequels. (Elie definitely needs his own book. ) Overall, this was an exciting read, but it was a darker one. This needs quite a few trigger warnings, so tread carefully, and your mileage may vary.

Emmie and Val have been a Romeo and Juliet type thread through the earlier books in the series. When that relationship is irreparably damaged, Emmie turns her energies on a future without Val. Then she receives a 911 message alerting her that Val is in danger and needs help. She can't help but rush to his side and call her family for help to protect him.
Now she's done it. Not only does the Ferraro family come to Val's rescue and take a stand on his side but they shelter him in the heart of their fortress giving him a chance to recoup and recover.  What a great beginning to Emmie's story.
Readers clearly know about the shadows and how the shadows are enmeshed between two halves of a couple. Now we learn about creepers that reach out and tie the shadows together such that Val can send Emmie thoughts, feelings and sensations. What fun the author has with this theme as she uses it in an entirely erotic way to initiate horizontal games between the couple.
Of course the story run it's course explaining the past and building a future. Emmie and Val are both strong characters, he's slated to be the head of the Saldi family and she's no shrinking violet.  Their relationship is a partnership and a compromise as they work through how they'll operate as a couple in the future. All in all a great way to tie up the series and give the Ferraro siblings their HEA.
There are a lot of characters who have made an impression on me as a reader and I hope they too have a future story and a chance at a HEA.

Shadow Storm is the book most fans of the Shadow series have been waiting for. Emme and Val's story has been mentioned in every previous book. It has had this Romeo/Juliet vibe for sure. Add in that they used to date and something went wrong and you have the slow build of a dynamite second chance story.

Shadow Storm really brings the action, and I loved that. And, as expected, there are secrets. So many secrets! Emme has been the character I have wanted to know more about-her mother is just awful and she seemingly takes such crap from her. I have been rooting for her and Val, but knew her brothers would be a hurdle. They are super protective and know that Val hurt Emme. They also don't like that he is a Saldi.

Val has problems; really, his family has problems. The Saldi's are a mafia family and that brings plenty of danger. Val has a darker story for many reasons, but being the heir of a mafia crime family delivers darkness to his door. Regardless, I knew he was the one for Emme. He wouldn't back down when going head to head with her brothers, he would do anything to keep her safe, and while he wasn't a rider, he understood her uniqueness.

The Shadow Riders series has been a favorite of mine and Shadow Storm really delivered everything I was hoping for and so much more! Fans of Feehan will devour this book!

My Review of Shadow Storm:

Emotional Rollercoaster, Intense Romance, Sexy, Action Pack, Reveals, Plot Twist

It's been two years since Emmanuelle Ferraro has had any physical contact with the man she loves, Valentino Saldi. An attempt on Val's life has left him badly wounded, and Dario, Val's bodyguard contacts Emmanuelle for help. She arrives and finds out this is an attempted takeover by Miceli Saldi. Emmanuelle calls in Stefano, and her brothers for assistance to save Valentino, and Guiseppi Saldi, the head of the Chicago mob family. Miceli wants them dead, so he can run his sex trafficking ring freely. The Ferraro family along with those loyal to Valentino won't allow this to happen. We get to see the Shadow Riders in action as they assist Valentino in taking down several of Miceli's strip clubs, dungeons, and rescue the women, and children being held captive.

While fighting for their lives, Valentino reveals to Emmanuelle, why the Saldis want Ferraro women, and to protect her family, She tells Stefano. The Saldi shadow works differently than the Ferraro shadow, and could prove dangerous to women found to have shadow rider abilities, as well as future generation, because some Saldis can see the shadow ribbons.

I loved the support Emmanuelle, and Valentino received from her brothers, and sisters-in-law, while they navigated their complicated romance. I enjoyed seeing the real Valentino step forward. He reminds me so much of Stefano. Strong, quiet, but deadly when it comes to protecting those he loves. Needless to say Eloisa attitude and verbal aggression toward Emmanuelle continues, but she doesn't take it anymore, and stands up for herself. Eloisa's shocked, and is against Emmanuelle and Valentino's relationship. There's a sad, and surprised twist at the end, that some fans will appreciate as "Justice Is Served".

At last, Emme and Val’s story!

It feels like forever that Emme and Val’s story has been percolating in the background of each Shadow title. The relationship that was, but wasn’t. Hidden but real. Until it wasn’t. Trust was everything and when that was broken, where did they go from there? Well, we finally found out. And it was just what I hoped it would be…

The Ferraro and the Saldi families had history. And almost all of it was violent, bloody and rife with betrayal.
When Val and Emme met years ago they were drawn to each other despite the problems they knew their relationship bring. Keeping to the shadows, ironically, they didn’t label their passion-filled relationship. They didn’t dare, really, knowing what their families would say. Until they had nothing to hide any more. Emme was heartbroken but resolute… Until things changed yet again.

Wow, was this a roller coaster on a roller coaster ride! There were secrets galore and an unexpected, uneasy alliance of feuding families as they united against a common enemy. Smack in the middle was Emme and Val, trying to sort out their complicated relationship in the midst of a deadly war. And, of course, loving and interfering family.

I loved the coming together of the families with Emme and Val at the center. Stefano, all her brothers, were the protective brood they’d always been, with hearts and arms to support her through it all. And heart enough to embrace Val as their own… And Dario? He brought some laugh out loud humour I wasn’t expecting even as he jabbed my heart more than once… They all did, knowing exactly which way to aim…

I heard rumours this may be the last Shadow story and I’m heartbroken. Maybe the cousins could have a spinoff series? Where Dario might find his love as well? I live in hope…

I really enjoyed learning Emme and Val's story in the final Ferraro Family book. It was also great to see what all the characters from past book in series are up to and how they help with this book. There were times where it felt like the book jumped around a bit. There was also a little more backstory on Val than other significant others in the series; which is understandable. The history behind both the Ferraro's and Saldi's is also very interesting to read. The two might not be as different as they seem.

I don’t know how she does it after writing over 80 books, but Christine Feehan delivered yet another action-packed, steamy romance filled with emotion and plot twists in her latest release, Shadow Storm.

Shadow Storm is the sixth book in the Shadow Rider series and details the story of Emmanuelle Ferraro and Valentino Saldi. This book has been a long time coming. Seriously though. This relationship has been teased over the course of five books, so I’m thrilled that the wait is FINALLY over. The conflict between the Saldi’s and the Ferraro’s comes to a boiling point in this book, and Emme is forced to confront the feelings for Val that she’s been running away from.

First, the spin that Feehan introduced in this book was COMPLETELY unexpected. But, looking back, a lot of things that didn’t make sense before started to click now. This spin helps reflects the differences in the relationships of the series. Emme and Val’s relationship is different than that of her siblings and their spouses. For her brothers, they had to save the day and rescue their spouses from the bad guys. Emme is not a damsel in distress though, and she doesn’t need anyone to save her from physical dangers. Instead, Val must work hard at making her believe she is loved and worthy of being loved after her bitch of a mother has spent a lifetime convincing her she’ll never amount to anything. Also, there’s a lot more compromise required in this relationship for them to have a true partnership. Val must reconcile his ideas of what role his wife should fill to meet Emme’s desire to continue her family’s work halfway.

Feehan hinted at the possibility of a relationship between Emmanuelle and Elie Archambault in previous books, but I’m so glad that she decided to not go that route. Emme has been pining for Val for so long, and she deserves to be happy.
One thing I wasn’t thrilled about in this book was the reasoning behind Emme leaving Val. The plot device is overused, and because of that, the events that follow feel somewhat predictable.

The stories for the main Ferraro siblings may be over, but I hope that they continue this series and cover the stories of the cousins. A story about Elie Archambault or the other members of the Archambault family would be cool too. Something important worth noting is that there are mentions of child abuse and rape in this book. If these things could be triggering, it might be worth skipping Shadow Storm.

I received an electronic ARC from Berkley Publishing Group through NetGalley.
Could not have asked for more from this final book in the Ferraro sibling series. Feehan brought the action, suspense and intense relationships readers have come to expect from her. The youngest sibling and only female, Emmanuelle, has been featured in each of her brothers' stories. Readers have been cheering for her and hoping her relationship with Valentino Saldi would resolve itself. In classic Feehan style, the ending which also serves as a beginning does just that.
The story flows smoothly and some of the twists are unexpected but fit the overall plot. We learn more about several characters who I hope continue their own stories in future volumes. Though much of her work lives in the gray shades of good and evil, her constant stance against true evil such as human trafficking comes through clearly.
Well done concluding volume. Feehan returns to her strengths in creating this suspense filled story.

Finally Shadow Storm is here with Valentino Saldi and Emmanuelle Ferraro’s story!!! I have been waiting for our tough as nails female shadow rider to get her HEA with the sexy mafia prince!! Everything in this one worked for me- the feuding families, the second chance love, the shadow myths and the mission to stop a human trafficking ring.

Emme has loved Val since she was sixteen, he was her first everything but he broke her heart when she found out he was using her for information on her family. Now years later, Val has been trying to get back into Emme’s life to prove that he didn’t cheat on her. With a traitor in the Saldi family operation Emme and the Ferraro’s join the Saldi’s to stop a human trafficking operation, discover how their shadows are intertwined and hopefully reignite their relationship.

I have thought from the beginning of the series that Emme and Val would work out - there was no way he cheated on her but to read their backstory and delve into their characters more was very well done. They both have issues- Emme with her self esteem after being beaten down by her mother -how much did I hate their mother- she was just a terrible human being. I struggled with how Emme could have not known he was lying but with the mental abuse Emme suffered it made sense that she would believe the worst in Val. Val with his self hatred for some of the darker things he does for the family - but they had to compromise, put is all aside and embrace who they are now and what they could be together. Who else could these two stone cold killers be themselves with besides someone who understands, appreciates and accepts who they are - flaws and all. The sex between them was steamy, as I expect and adore from CF- and there was enough grovel from both Emme and Val that I was fully invested in them getting together.

For people- like me - who enjoy Feehan’s writing style, like her PNR with an extra dose of belief suspension, wonderful characters and hot sex, this was definitely a winner. I feel like this storyline had all the elements that I love from her, the bond of family, mafia, star crossed lovers, an old family myth and the darkness of the human trafficking and torture was all perfectly balanced.

I have loved the Shadow Riders series and Shadow Storm was the perfect book to wrap it all up. With a teasing plot line that included the additional characters, Elie and Dario, the LA and New York Ferraro cousins, I don’t think we have see the last of the Shadow Riders and I will be pre-ordering those books!!

I received an E-ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Caro

Emmanuelle has given up on love. She is ready to have an arranged marriage and move to Europe, where she won’t be able to see Valentino anymore. Anywhere is better than being close to her mother, who doesn’t love her, and Valentino’s betrayal. But things change when Valentino is shot by his uncle’s men in order to take over the Saldi territory. Dario, Val’s cousin, informs Emme of the attack. Emme knows not to go alone into a fight and asks her brothers for help along with Elie Archambault. She barely makes it in time to aid Valentino and help fight the mob army.

Emmanuelle and Valentino’s relationship has been brewing up since their appearance in the first book in the Shadow Riders series making their story even more interesting to unravel. In a very Romeo and Juliet story, Emme and Val have been through several dangers together and apart. Val’s family has been enemies with Emme’s family for generations ago, making their relationship forbidden, especially under the eyes of Emme’s mother. Not to mention, no one knows if their children would be able to ride the shadows.

One of my favorite things about author Christine Feehan’s books is her fight scenes. It’s always interesting to read how her character’s fights will turn out to be. There’s an early fight in the story while trying to save Valentino and Dario, in which we have a POV from Emme’s female shadow rider perspective. She has to use everything in her advantage compared to her brothers who can take on stronger targets. Emme has to be very careful not to let enemies too close to hurt her.

An interesting and mysterious character is Elie Archambault. He’s been seen in previous books and became good friends with Emme. So much as to consider marrying him and vise versa in order to have an arranged marriage with someone they know and trust. Elie has his own tragic love story, which we learn a little about in this book. It will be interesting to see if Feehan plans a book for him or will end the Shadow Rider series with Emme.

Throughout the book we learn more about Emme’s childhood, how her mother neglected her, and the first time she met Valentino. Meeting Val and having their shadows intertwine in a way, gives us an idea that there’s more than shadow riders out there, and probably more enemies for the Ferraros. I do have to mention how thrilling it was to see the Ferraros and Saldis work together, especially seeing the riders from someone else’s perspective. Like true shadows. Emme had to battle her inner thoughts and struggles, too. Being with the person she loves without feeling that she’s betraying her family.

There are several easter eggs throughout the story that tease more to come for this series, such as the mystery behind Dario’s past, Elie’s future, new Ferraro babies, and the main enemy of the newly formed Ferraro/Saldi alliance. But we will have to wait and see. Meanwhile, if you’ve been following this series and are waiting for the last Ferraro sibling to find true love, I recommend you read Shadow Storm.

Shadow Storm by Christine Feehan is the 6th book in her fantastic Shadow Rider series. I have waited for Emme’s story, and Shadow Storm was so good, I just pray Feehan continues this series; as this has become my favorite. This entire series has been great so far, and Emmanuelle and Valentino’s story is the best one yet.
Emme has been a major character throughout every book, as she is a fabulous heroine, and after seeing all her brothers find their mates, she is determined to allow herself to enter an arranged marriage. But she has not gotten over her love of Val Saldi, the forbidden love; a man who helps run the Saldi crime family. When Emme receives a desperation phone call that Val has been shot, and they need her help, she immediately drops everything to go to his rescue; but she smartly alerts her brother Stefano, and the entire Ferraro family will meet Emme, and help the Saldi’s against a hostile attack within the Saldi family. Emme has not seen Val for two years, and she is immediately drawn back to him.

The hostile attack is stopped, and Val slowly recovers from his injuries, hell bent on winning Emme back into his life. It is here that Emme will explain to her family, how when she was younger, she saw strange things like ropes all around her shadow. Stefano and Ricco question Val, who claims he knows about the binding, but did not know much else, except what he researched from the old days of rumors.

The Ferraro’s know Emme loves Val, and they will support her, as well as make a deal with Saldi to help stop the hostile takeover from another family member of the Saldi family. Val loves Emme, and does not plan to allow her to run away again, he wants her to marry him. Will the Ferraro’s allow Emme to marry their old enemy and make her happy?

I loved how the Ferraro’s began to work closely with Val, Dario to find the culprits in the family, as well as discover who is behind the horrible trafficking ring selling very young children. This was an emotional story on many levels; the mob war, the child porn ring, as well as the sizzling romance between Val and Emme. He wasn’t happy that she wanted to remain a shadow rider, and she was determined to do what she was trained to do. Over time she will not only work with her family, but at the same time use her ability to be in the shadows to help Val and Dario find the enemies within.

Shadow Storm was an exciting, tense, heart pounding, nonstop edge of your seat action, from start to finish. Their romance was steamy and I did love them together. I loved seeing all the Ferraro’s again, as they were such a great family (not the mother Eloisa, who was horrible). Dario turned out to be a great character, and I would love for him to find a woman that could handle him. 😊 I also would like a story on Elie, who was also great, and Emme’s best friend.

Christine Feehan once again gives us a fabulous story, which as noted was the best one yet. Shadow Storm was a great read, and so very well written by Feehan. If you have not read this series, you need to start with the first book. If you have read them all, you will love this one.

(4.5) What a heart wrenching ride. This book had more of the dark Torpedo series vibe and a mafia edge but always, always family. When I was reading the plot, the story, the life's of everyone involved I was sucked between the pages. I have come to love Dario. When it was pages and pages of the E & V showing how talented they are between the sheets, over and over, I was pulled out of the story. For me I was grateful most of the story was truly a well layered plot weaving in and out of the light and the dark. Suspense, action, family betraying family and was there not a whopper of that towards the end??? OH I so wanted to reach through the pages and just beat the crap out of that person This was truly well done and some of the horrors that are brought to light make it even more realistic. I a ever grateful for the arc, thank you Berkley, Christine Feehan and Net Galley. I freely volunteer my own thoughts and opinions.
