I have really enjoyed all of the Hannah McKinnon novels I’ve read! Her latest novel Message in the Sand is a small town, heartwarming book that is absolutely the perfect beach read! Message in the Sand is really well-paced and there wasn’t any parts that lagged for me—love that! I initially was trying to figure out how Hannah was going to weave some of the characters together, but once it clicked, I loved what she had planned! As per usual, I am already looking forward to reading Hannah McKinnon’s next book!

I love the prologue. I liked Wendell and the other characters. I liked that Wendell was a soldier. I liked the cozy feel.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Wendell is living a quiet life in a small town. His brother and parents passed years ago and is dealing with some issues from being in Afghanistan. He is groundskeeper to a large estate. The family has two girls. The girls are dealing with some devastating news when their estranged aunt cones to live with them. I enjoyed the different characters that we got to know. This book was well written.
