This is a well written book with a strong cast of characters. The author does a fantastic job developing the story and pulled me in from start to finish reading. She brings a paranormal romance with a horror story and kept me glued to the pages with her vividly painted scenes and creepy and mysterious story line. It moves fluidly and is an intriguing story. Loved it!!

This was so different then what I am used to reading. But I have to say, I could not put it down! It’s both a horror and romance story. The author keeps you so interested to see what happens next. It’s a story about a divorced couple who fight the unspeakable to get back together. Or do they get back together?

I loved this book! Old Cravings feels like a story written just for me. It takes place in Colorado during a major blizzard, where a divorced couple find themselves stuck together fighting monsters. It’s fun, it’s spooky, and I enjoyed the romance aspect as well. Four stars for me. I will definitely read whatever this author comes out with next!

I went into this book open minded and intrigued about the mashup horror and romance. This book was certainly not what I was expecting, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Piper and Dylan are recently divorced, but an injury to her old horse has Dylan calling Piper to say goodbye. Their visit brings up some old feelings while they try to wrap their heads around the strange circumstances that are making them both feel on edge.

A blizzard is headed their way and all hell is about to break loose...

Complementary copy given for honest review and opinion from NetGalley. This was not my type of book that I would normally read. It actually could cause some messed up dreams. If you are in to folklore and weird mythology then this is a book for you.

Joy Jarrett’s fantastical book Old Cravings is a second chance romance imbued with a clever mixture of prehistoric and mythical creatures for a heart pounding, and suspense filled graphic horror story...as the story unfolded and the tension ramped up I literally couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough! The combination of genres, seemingly unrealistic, within the one story could have been cheesy if not executed correctly, but this author expertly wove the differing elements together to create an entertaining and engaging read.

Not bad! It’s a second chance romance, so if that isn’t your thing then this may not be for you. The plot centres around a veterinarian and her ex boyfriend, whom are currently plagued by a creature that is mutilating and killing animals in the local area. A mystery-horror-romance!

If you’re interested, I’d recommend giving this a go!! :))
