Margaret Yoder knows that the only way she can please her mother is by getting married. She pretends to go on a husband hunt in Birch Creek to get away for a while. She keeps running into Owen who may just challenge her desire to remain single. I enjoyed watching Margaret and Owen interact. They have some unique interests and a funny, honest rapport. It's refreshing and different from what they've enjoyed with others in the past.

Margaret and Owen both have issues they need help with. It's easy to relate to them. They felt authentic and real. It was sweet seeing them encourage each other.

I enjoyed this book and I'd recommend it. It's a light, easy read. Thank you to Zondervan for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Kathleen Fuller’s Matched and Married is #2 in the Amish Mail-Order Bride series. I love this series. They are light romances with plenty of humor. I really enjoyed Margaret and Owen’s story. Margaret is an Amish girl who fully embraced Rumspringa and has now been baptized into the Amish faith. Owen is a workaholic and his parents forced him to take a vacation. While this is book #2, it can be read as a standalone. I am eagerly awaiting the next book. Thank you to Netgalley and Zondervan for the ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Although this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone book. This book follows the friendship between Margaret and Owen as each makes it clear to both their families and each other that they are not seeking to marry. As their friendship deepens so does their feelings for one another.

I look forward to reading both the first and third book in this series.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kathleen Fuller, and the publisher for this advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

Kathleen Fuller's Birch Creek books have been a joy to read! Matched and Married continues that streak.

Margaret Yoder is sent to her aunt's home in Birch Creek after her mother sees an ad that the young men of the town are looking for brides. Margaret has no intention of marrying just because her mother thinks she needs to. After her wild rumspringa, her only desire is to settle into the Amish life she's chosen and prove to her parents that she is NOT that wild 16-year-old anymore. Margaret knows she has an uphill struggle, especially with her rule-following mother, so she obeys the dictate handed to her and heads for Birch Creek. She's met at the bus depot by her aunt's neighbor, Owen Bontrager and she's not impressed. He's too skinny, his teeth aren't straight, and he's not very sociable. If he's one of the bachelors this town is offering for marriage, she's sure her heart is in no danger while she's here!

Owen Bontrager remembers what it was like to be hungry all the time. Until their large family moved to Birch Creek, hunger was a constant companion. Their new farm's fertile soil changed that, and Owen's hard work of running the operation can take much of the credit. However, working from sun-up to sundown 24/6 (with no work on Sundays, only THINKING about work) hasn't left Owen any time to do anything else. Yes, he's a workaholic, but no one else in the family - including his father - seems to care as much about the farm as he does. Is it so wrong to want to make sure his family is never hungry again?

On the surface, the only thing Margaret and Owen have in common is their Amish faith. Margaret is a beauty, and is used to having men tell her so. Owen's feet are firmly planted in the dirt of the family farm, and he's never had a girlfriend to know how to react to a woman. When his father forces him to take a week off from ALL of his farm work, Owen discovers that: 1. He needs to find a hobby. 2. He's more tired than he thought. and 3. Maybe he is in the market for a girlfriend. Neither Owen nor Margaret is looking to get married, but can they still be friends who explore the countryside together?

This series started with some pretty sober books, but now that the Bontrager family is the focus, their lighthearted approach to life shines through. I also enjoyed "catching up" with characters from previous stories. That's always part of the beauty of reading a whole series of books!

Readers who love Amish romance will love Matched and Married. You'll be pulling for Margaret by the end (even though she starts out a little spoiled at the beginning, she absolutely redeems herself!) And Owen will also step off the page and into your heart. I definitely recommend this one!

Love, hope, forgiveness and humor among many other things that are added to make this book a sweet and fun book to read.
Lose yourself in one afternoon/evening of your desire and come to Birch Creek to visit with old friends and new friends. You'll not want to leave until the last chapter is read!
Excellent writing is portrayed in the best possible way. With in depth and realistic characters that you are sure to love!
I loved meeting Margaret and Owen but sometimes I really wanted to knock their heads together at times and others well let's just say they made me laugh out right at other times.
I really love this quote because it's so true!
"Our pasts don't define us. It's what we do with our lives after we've learned our lessons."
I highly recommend this enjoyable book! It's a hard to put down book!
My thanks for a copy of the book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Lovely to make another visit to Birch Creek! This is a nice mix of a sweet new love story and a continuation of the ongoing saga of the community. While most of the characters we meet are genuinely kind and well-intentioned, I like that not everyone is perfect and no one is immune to troubles and insecurities. Healing and growth take time and that's very well portrayed in this series.

This was a very enjoyable read and I'm already looking forward to the next!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Matched and Married is another winner from Kathleen Fuller. This is the sweet story of Margaret and Owen. I love how the story flows but takes its time. It held my interest all the way through. I really enjoyed this book. Thank you netgalley and Zondervan for the complimentary arc. The opinions are my own thoughts.

"Matched and Married" by Kathleen Fuller
Amish Mail-Order Bride #2
Release Date: 9.7.2021

Returning to Birch Creek, Margaret Yoder cannot escape her wild rumspringa, even though she's dedicated to the Amish. Her mother insists that Margaret marries. Margaret is tired of her nagging mother, so she returns to Birch Creek to pretend to look for a husband while visiting family.

Owen Bontrager is not interested in marriage, either, but he cannot seem to escape the wedding bells in Birch Creek. That pesky ad in the local paper looking for brides is not helping matters, either.

Margaret and Owen meet, and they cannot dispute that they have much in common! Owen likes Margaret, as she is the only woman not pushing marriage onto him! Margaret feels that Owen is special, but she returns home, telling her mother that she will marry whoever her mother chooses. Margaret and Owen both need to decide if they're truly not ready for marriage when the right person comes along.

What a cute story! Both Margaret and Owen were a delight! Seeing other characters from previous novels was such a treat! Although let's face it, we know Margaret and Owen would be together by the end, their story was not rushed, and I could see how they both developed a new appreciation for friendship and love.

This sweet Amish romance by Kathleen Fuller is the second in her series, Amish Mail-Order Brides.

This book centers around the characters of Margaret and Owen. Marriage at an early age is normal and somewhat expected in the Amish culture, however, both are in their 20’s and have no desire for relationships at this time, no matter how adamant their mothers seem to be.

Margaret decides to travel to Birch Creek to visit her aunt and while there she meets Owen. While their friendship develops, they make it clear to each other that they are not in the market for a spouse. As friendship and circumstances deepen, how will they handle this?

This is a delightful book that you will not want to put down until it is completed. I received a complimentary copy of the book from Zondervan and NetGalley and the opinions expressed are my own.

What a sweet love story! I adored meeting Margaret and Owen in Birch Creek and didn't realize that there are many books by Kathleen Fuller about this town. I will definitely be adding them to my TBR stack of books!

If you're in the mood for a sweet and clean Amish romance, this is the book for you. You will see how sometimes we start out with one idea and it's soon changed and for the better at that!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Margaret is pressured by her family to settle down, pressured by her English friends to party, and overall just unhappy. She goes to visit her aunt Mary in another district, and meets Owen, who is also pressured by family. Together, they find a balance with friendship that eventually evolves. Good Amish romance story, and made a great summer read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Zondervan through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Where do I begin. To start off with I have never in my life read a book based of ambush decent or even bothered trying to read anything of that category. The synopsis of this book had me hooked though and without a doubt the book granted exactly that. Getting to know margret and Owens charcaters was such a delight that I could not put the book down. The idea of love and self discovery was portrayed so perfectly in this book.

Seeing how Margaret didn’t want marriage from her mother’s doing was so realable and seeing Owen and her falling in love without notice was how do I say? Oh yes SO HOT. This book was definitely a 5/5 and for anyone who plans to read just know there are strong cultural aspects to this that we may not see often in our own household but even the Amnish culture was just so beautiful.

Margaret Yoder is sent to visit her Aunt in another town because her mother has heard through the grapevine that there are more eligible men than women in that town. Margaret's mother is determined to get Margaret married and gone so she won't have to worry about her. Margaret really isn't in the market but she will do anything to get away from her mother's stifling presence. She loves it at her Aunt's and goes about enjoying family and friends. Margaret meets up with Ezra Bontrager almost immediately and they both assure each other they are not in the market so they determine they will be friends and enjoy each others company since they have common interests. Predictably they both fall for each other but think the other one still isn't serious. Much angst and soul-searching occur before it is all resolved. This was a fun book with delightful characters.

I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion

I love that this continues the story of so many different Amish "friends" that I have read about in previous books by the author. I really enjoyed the characters of Owen and Margaret and enjoyed how their friendship flourished as they foraged for herbs and food in the forest. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens to the characters. Birch Creek seems like such a lovely place and Freemont and Mary are such wonderful characters as well.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.
