I remember losing several pets. I have always felt like I couldn’t talk about how much and long after I would see something that reminded me of him. I don’t think that everyone becomes close to their pet as it may have been someone else in the household that the pet had bonded with. I did understand all the different stories about how each person felt about losing their pet. It is so special to have a pet that you could know loved you and was always glad to see you. You knew you could tell them anything and that it would never be told to anyone else. I have friends that have lost their husband but still had a pet that was there when he was alive. It helped those friends of mine to have that pet. It gave them comfort.

This book is helpful for those who has lost a beloved pet. It gives ideas on ways to help with the grief felt when one loses a pet. I thought they were good ideas. I know that I will put some of them to use now even though it’s been a year or so. I miss my cat. I hope that this book is given to a friend who has lost a beloved pet. I know it will help them.
