Well researched, well written, very specific. I can imagine this book being very useful but for a very specific profile of person - a relatively small group of researchers and PhD candidates. As insightful as this book is of capitalism, specifically Black capitalism within the community of Harlem, it has echoes of current trends within the community (think Magic Johnson's former Starbucks franchise on 125th and Lenox). Which is why I wish it was accessible to the community it mines for its subject matter and directly addressed the specificity of those parallels. It works as a biography meant for academics but it also had the potential to be so much more.
