I've been waiting on Travis' story and was so happy when I received an advance copy from NetGalley for an honest review! I loved the story for Krystal and Jace (book 1) and it really sucked me into the world of the Kings of Country! I equally enjoyed Emmy Lou and Brock's story also, but I thought the love story in Country Music Cowboy was better than EmmyLou and Brock I am very happy that we got a lot of the characters from the first book, so we know that both of their relationships are going strong. (We even got a wedding!)

I am certainly hoping there is going to be a fourth book featuring Sawyer and hopefully in that book we will finally get the satisfaction we want (seeing the King's selfish mother get what she deserves!) I have already preordered this book on Amazon and as I said, I cannot wait for what I hope is book #4! Keep up the good work, Sasha!

The blurb caught my eye, the first couple of chapters made me second guess myself but about 25% of the way through I couldn't but the book down. The storyline kept me interested - I wanted and needed to know what was going to happen next between Loretta and Travis. Both of the characters have difficult pasts and are still battling those demons. Loretta did not grow up in a loving and supportive family/house, her father continues to cause problems throughout the story. She recently lost her singing partner and long time friend to and accidental drug overdose. Travis and his family (the Kings) are country music royalty. He grew up in a loving and supportive family but had a recent battle with alcoholism and public outburst that landed him in rehab. The couple is pushed to perform together and become a new duo, there is instant attraction between them that starts sparks on stage. Initially Loretta refuses to acknowledge it but then eventually agrees to ONE NIGHT. As they continue to work together one night becomes more and feelings develop. When demons from Loretta's past make an appearance and the King mother starts drama she pushes people away, this strains her relationship with Travis. Are they able to work through it and finally be together?

Overall some corny moments but really enjoyed the plotline.

As soon as I started reading this it reminded me of a TV I watched years ago and it was so much fun!
This was quick and fun and I loved it!
Perfect read for this summer!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review

While this one was a quick read it was a little too easy to see where the story was going to go. But that's not a bad thing. Some times you need stories like that, that aren't two stressful to read. Especially this year.

Goodness gracious Sasha Summers you have this reader enchanted with the Kings. We have the bad boy of music and good Lord sexiest musician Loretta Gram has even seen. Everybody is just waiting for her to become "a has been in the music world", to fall on her face since tragedy struck her life and now she is up against a King who might just be her salvation. Sasha Summers not just takes us behind the scenes of the King family and boy do we have it all from a wedding, betrayal, lies and now a mystery that is well troubling Travis topping it with a villain Mama King. It's like seeing the country show Nashville and the movie A Star is Born all combined in one leaving your breathless and suspense of what's to come next. I loved seeing Hank King with a little romance brewing because come on the father of these beautiful kids deserves a little happiness as well considering who he was married to. Travis may have seem like the jokester in the previous books but man do we get the full story of him that not even Loretta saw coming. The chemistry between these two is so not what they expected but so much more it was like written in the stars so to speak of them. This is one series that has totally rocked from the King family, the music coming to life to seeing each one find their other half is truly awesome from Sasha Summers, totally awesome.

Country Music Cowboy is book three in the Kings of Country Music series. Travis is a successful country singer that needs to clean up his image. Enter his new singing partner Loretta, who is less that trusting of her new collaborator because of issues in her past. As their music begins to come together, so does their attraction for one another.

As noted in a few of my prior reviews, I am a huge fan of country music, so the title and description of Country Music Cowboy was enough to draw me to this book. The plot is solid, and Travis and Loretta as main characters make for an interesting story. I liked how the romance aspect developed, from only physical attraction to something more. The music theme is prominent throughout the book, and holds the story together. While I liked the book as a whole, I had a difficult time staying engaged throughout the entirety of the story and just wanted a little more out of it. I would still recommend Country Music Cowboy to romance novel enthusiasts who would enjoy the country music theme of the book.

Thanks to Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for this ARC; this is my honest and voluntary review.

Travis is such an interesting character. I really liked his personality. Loretta is skeptical and placed in a hard situation after going through very difficult death of her partner/husband. I typically am a sucker for a gal down on her luck. Loretta is struggling but the King family won't let her wallow alone.

Very relaxing read. If you like country music and how the whole process goes then here you have it.

I loved the cover but didn't like the
Format style. I loved the name Loretta. I liked the details and descriptions. I liked the characters.

Sasha Summers skillfully blends country music and an opposites-attract romance. Loretta and Travis are each facing demons: her drinking, gambling loser of a father and absent mother while he battles his own history of drinking, drugs, and chasing women. Each fears commitment while desiring each other as they embark on a joint musical career billed as TrueLove.

Summers’s romances generally are more than a simple love story. I enjoy them because she keeps readers on edge with just enough anxiety to propel readers through the story and characters that are not stereotypical.

This latest in the King family saga is just as wonderful a ride as the previous. Travis King is just back from rehab and wants to make a comeback. Loretta has lost her treasured partner to addiction and suicide. The record company wants to put them together as a new duo and send them off with the rest of the King family tour. Loretta is initially scared about working with another addict and is pissed the record company is not willing to send her out as a solo act. On the other hand she is wildly attracted to Travis. Travis almost immediately falls in love with Loretta but she keeps holding him off. Will they be able to come together?
As with the other King family tales there are some interesting twists and turns that make this book even better. Although part of a series it could be read as a standalone. But you can bet every reader will seek out the former book. I would highly recommend this book to my patrons.

An emotional book. Travis is dealing with past vices while Loretta grapples with losing her singing partner. Paired together they make beautiful music off and on stage. I have enjoyed this series with characters readers can relate to as well as rejoice when things go right. Who doesn’t love a cowboy romance?

Sasha Summers has done it again. She has written a great book. She grabs you in and you don’t want to put the book down. The two main characters Loretta and Travis are singers. They are brought together because they have trouble with their careers. In the process of being a d duet they find love.

Texas - the Present

Loretta Gram is working to re-establish her singing career as a solo performer after her partner Johnny died. They had built some credibility as a country duo. Now she is preparing for a rehearsal with Travis King, another alcoholic, like her father, and Johnny. Travis was in rehab with Johnny, and she watches him take some pills and a drink from a whiskey glass, souring her opinion of him. Her recording company CEO told her he was a changed man. Loretta has doubts about that but this rehearsal is for an important performance at the International Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Travis King's father, Hank King, is a legendary country singer, and both of his sisters have become successful country singers. Travis knows his reputation has been ruined by his previous sense of entitlement, his womanizing, and his drinking. He also can read Loretta Gram's opinion of him on her face. It's been a year since he has been on stage, a time in which he ruined his reputation…his own fault, and he chose to go to rehab. Plus a video circulates of him damaging another man's truck with a baseball bat. Although only his father believes in him, despite everything, Travis is dedicated to his sobriety. He will prove himself when he and his sisters go on an upcoming tour. Surprisingly his and Loretta's duo is an astounding success, and their recording company insists Loretta go on tour with their other clients—the 'Three Kings'—Krystal, Emmy Lou, and Travis King.

COUNTRY MUSIC COWBOY is both a shocking and appealing look into the lives of this family. The twin sisters' stories were covered in the first two volumes: Krystal and Jace's story was told in book 1, JACE, and Emmy Lou and Brock's story made book 2, SONG FOR A COWBOY. Those characters also play a large part in Travis and Loretta's story. Loretta's childhood as the only child of an alcoholic father, and then to have an alcoholic singing partner, left her trusting no one. Travis has also had a parental problem—his mother. The possibility of a relationship between Travis and Loretta is lined with doubt. Plus the media invading their lives often reports blatant lies and spotlights their actions, creating another difficulty. It is an emotional romance well worth the read.

Travis King has a reputation for being country musics bad boy. Fighting, drinking, trashing hotel rooms, girl after girl . He is part of a trio with his famous sisters under the direction of his world famous father.

Loretta is half of a duo left behind by her former partner ,boyfriend and best friend who had an alcohol and substance abuse problem that ended in suicide.
Her record label teams her up with Travis King who represents, as Loretta sees it, everything she despises. Can these two make beautiful music together ? Or will this end both their careers ?

This is about forgiving yourself, family secrets, second chances and family!
While this is the third book in the series, this is the first book I have read , not only in the series but by this author and definitely not the last!
