I am reviewing a copy of Limitless Through Nelson Books/Thomas Nelson and Netgalley:

In Limitless we are reminded that when we remove every boundary that hems us in, whether it’s physical, emotional, or societal we become limitless.

Mallory Weggeman is a Paralympic gold medalist, world champion swimmer, ESPY winner, and NBC Sports commentator uses her extraordinary story to equip others to meet whatever challenges they face in life, she reminds us that we have a choice that is either to focus on the pain or to focus on the love that we are surrounded

On January 21, 2008, a routine medical procedure left Mallory Weggemann paralyzed from the waist down. She had gone in for a final injection to help ease the severe nerve pain she had dealt with, when something went wrong, she had sustained a T10 complete Spinal Cord Injury. Less than two years later Mallory had broken eight world records and by the 2012 Paralympic Games, she held fifteen world records and thirty four American records. An injury two years later after a devastating fall damaged her left arm, and still Mallory refused to give up, after two reconstructive surgeries and extended rehab, she won two golds and a silver at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships.

Limitless is the story of finding confidence, and love even in the midst of trials. This book showcases Mallory’s resilience in the face of great trials as well as an uncompromising commitment to excellence are rooted in her resolve, perseverance, and sheer grit. In this remarkable new book.

I give Limitless five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

This book is amazing! Mallory shares her journey and how her family rallied around her. I am not sure I could have overcome what she has to become who she is today. She is an excellent role model for all who are going through challenges of their own. She is positive and is making a difference in the life of others. A definite must-read!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

A true overcomer!
With the backing of her family and true grit Mallory rose to every challenge. I think that her real name might be Job.
It's been thirteen years since she started on her journey in Minnesota through paralysis, complications, PTSD, a return to swimming (this time in the Paralympics), world travel for competitions, a disastrous fall (hotel negligence), episodes of depression, love (twice), and marriage (she WALKED down the aisle with her father with the aid of special leg braces), a career as a motivational speaker, and not done yet!
She is as unsinkable as Molly Brown and continues to teach others that she is not DISabled and neither are others who are DIFFERENTLY abled.
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Nelson Books/Thomas Nelson via NetGalley. Thank you!
Fire in My Eyes: An American Warrior’s Journey from Being Blinded on the Battlefield to Gold Medal Victory by Brad Snyder, 2016 is about another Gold medalist in swimming.

I want to thank Mallory for sharing her story. I laughed, I cried and I reflected on my own challenges.
Very inspiring.

"Limitless" is Mallory Weggemann's inspirational biography about losing the ability to use her legs as a high school student and swimming athlete. Over months of relearning how to do even the simplest things, she discovered the Paralympics and quickly went on to break world records. Years later, tragedy striking yet again, she lost function in yet another limb and had to relearn life and compete again. She is an inspirational speaker whose troubles that she has persevered through make some of our own struggles seem minor in comparison.

Wow. Just..wow. The fact that Mallory has endured so much and remains so hopeful is a testament to her character and the parents who raised her. After becoming a T-10 complete paraplegic in 2008 after an epidural injection that was being used to treat back pain caused by a shingles shot, Mallory went on to set a Paralympic record at the 2012 Paralympics. Her backstory isn't too common but the struggles she faces are common enough that her story matters to more than she could ever imagine. I really appreciated this book.

Mallory Weggemann is an inspiring person and a fantastic author! I had heard some of her story prior to reading her memoir but I was so moved by her writing. I loved reading about her family and how much they were there for her during her setbacks and helping her to overcome her physical limitations. This is a good read for anyone but especially those who may be going through a struggling time.
