The book starts in August 2000. Judith has reached a cross roads in her life and has recently moved to Malta to work with her uncle Richard. Recently divorced she meets a local and falls in love. However, due to maltase law their relationship is not an easy one. Fast forward four years and a another life changing event has Judith questioning where she wants to be. She returns home to England and her family. Here she enjoys having a better relationship with her mother and sister, makes a new friend with her tenant and helps her stepson through a very difficult time.
There are lots of twists and turns throughout the book , quite a few sub plots which all come together and all in all this is an enjoyable read.

This wasn’t my favourite Sue Moorcroft book but I did enjoy it.

I really enjoyed the new love with Adam but I just couldn’t warm to her relationship with Giorgio so I wasn’t heartbroken when it was over. I didn’t like the way she allowed herself to be pushed away - first by Giorgio and then by his family

I did love Adam, also Kieran and Beth. They were a nice addition to the story but her husband was another vile man so I got the feeling that our MC was really downtrodden in relationships which annoyed me when she came off as quite gutsy

I really like Sue Moorcrofts book and this is a good story even though the lead character she really annoyed me, but i couldn't put it down.

Another amazing book from Sue Moorcroft. A Home in the Sun is a lovely story that flows seamlessly between England and the beautiful island of Malta. The description in this book had me completely captivated - I could see the Maltese Magic right before my eyes - and I so longed to be there! Sue Moorcroft has a way of conjuring pictures with her words, and I could feel the heat of the sun burning down on my shoulders as I read this heart aching, ultimately uplifting story. Judith and Giorgio absolutely broke me, and Adam - well, he is my new man crush!! The ending of the story is so satisfying - but I wanted more! I didn’t want to leave this gorgeous story, and I definitely want to go to Malta now!! Bravo Sue, another brilliant book!!

Bloomin heck, it's been emotional!

Sue certainly puts her characters through the mill. What stood out for me was the different family dynamics, how hard parenting can be, the impact of culture, personal battles but how kindness, friendships and back round to family again will get you through even the toughest times.

Oh my word!! This book was absolutely gorgeous!!!! I’ve not read anything by Sue Moorcroft yet: but I’ve heard such amazing things. A Home in the Sun was every bit as amazing as I anticipated and I couldn’t put it down

Another great book from Sue Moorcroft. I look forward to her new releases & they never disappoint. This book is set in Malta. A place I visited many years ago & Sue has caught the beauty of the place & people. Judith is living in Malta & has bought into her uncle's estate agency. She's enjoying her life & this was enhanced buy her meeting Giorgio but how things can change. Judith's life is turned upside down.
Enjoy this book & read all of Sue Moorcrofts other books.

This was a bit darker than Sue's normally bright and easy romances.

It was thoroughly enjoyable though with great characters.

At times I actually felt like I was in Malta with the easy lifestyle.

A great holiday read.

Really enjoyed this book and wasn't sure how it would end up. The characters are great and really easy to like allowing you to enjoy the story.

I liked how judith went fall circle.
I wish it hadn't finished and it carried on once the main people came back to england and I so wanted to find out how kieran and Beth get on.

Sue Moorcroft gives you an escape from every day life,with this book,,based in Malta and the UK it is a story full of lovable, relatable characters. This book will make you laugh, cry and smile! A definite thumbs up from me.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very relatable, every real and every interesting. I loved the relationships and how family is not just biological. This is the first book I've read from this author and look forward to discovering more!

After Judith loses Giorgio, her lover and unofficial business partner in a tragic accident in Malta, she tries to pick

up the sheds of her life back in England.. This is a mammoth task as she has to deal with her mother in an old age

home,, newly divorced sister, and a bitter ex. She also has a stepson and a new love in her life, Adam.

This is a tender story as Judith endeavours to be fair to everyone even though her path is strewn with

upheaval. She learns to accept change and is strengthened by it.

An uplifting and realistic read.

This was an emotional read, full of difficulties, joys, and sadness and ultimately an uplifting resolution for the heroine.

Set between Malta and England with 2 heroes - Georgio and Adam, I enjoyed the insight into the problems of falling in love with a married man for whom divorce is impossible even though the marriage has broken down.

I've been to Malta a few times and loved revisiting it courtesy of this book. The story of love, prejudice, tragedy, and then of rebuilding a life is very heartwarming, although I disliked the cruelty of Georgio's family.

This is well written and has emotional depth.

Some books just have everything you need to lose yourself in and Sue Moorcroft always manages to capture the imagination with likeable characters and beautiful settings. The beauty of Malta weaves its magic as we meet Judith, who has moved to Malta after her divorce and whose life changes dramatically when she falls in love with Giorgio. It is such a beautifully written story covering grief with all its many faces as well as the strength to forgive and make new beginnings. I especially loved the parts about Judith's mum in the home - the story of the purse was excellent

I received an advance copy of A Home in the Sun, by Sue Moorcroft. This was a pretty good story. Moving on after a death of a loved one is always hard.

I always enjoy Sue Moorcroft’s books and this one is no exception. Judith is living on the island of Malta when she meets the man of her dreams but as always things are not straightforward and she is not accepted by his family. Years later he has a tragic accident and frozen out be his family. She returns to her family in Northamptonshire to try to rebuild her life but finds that you sometimes have to go back before you can move on. I would recommend this book as perfect to enjoy on the beach or in the garden this summer.

Another great book from Sue Moorcroft. As always A Home in the Sun fully immerses you into the life of its characters, you truly believe you are both them and where they are.

When Judith meets Giogiolo she thinks she is set for life but tragedy strikes, and she finds herself back in England and around her family with all their myriad of problems. Then she meets Luke, can she be happy again?

Believable, relatable and engaging definitely a good book for the summer.

Finding A Path…
Judith is nursing a broken heart, the loss of her partner which, in turn, brings other losses including her sunny home and her life in Malta. What next? A tale of life, loves, losses, a coming to terms and finding a path in life, hopefully to happiness. Escapist reading.

What a lovely love story. Not without its complications of course. Judith has been living in Malta with her lover but then returns to England to reclaim her house that she’s been renting out to the lovely but damaged Adam. He begins to get under her skin in a good way. But of course the path of true love never runs smoothly. There are complications with her step son and his girlfriend along the way but nothing will stop these two being together, even the security guards at Malta’s airport. I had tears of happiness at the end. It’s only the second of Sue’s books I’ve read but there will be more.
