Attention all Domestic Thriller fans, Greenwich park needs to be added to your pre-order list ASAP! This was an easy read that flowed very nicely. To think that this is a debut thriller is shocking in itself.

Filled with twists and turns, I was kept guessing throughout the entire book. I was quite spooked with the realism, who can you actually trust? Quite honestly, no one. As some of us know, Motherhood has its challenges but maintaining honest friendships can sometimes prove to be not be all its cracked up to be.

Everyone has secrets, some are just a little more brazen than others....

I would recommend Greenwich Park to anyone who enjoys domestic thrillers.

This book was good, but I just couldn’t stay into it while I was reading it, until the very end. The ending was well thought out, surprising, & everything is explained (which I enjoy)! If this book would have had me captivated from the beginning then I would have given it 5⭐️

Wow! This was an amazing book. The author tells the story about Helen and her 2 brothers. Helen meets a new friend during her pregnancy. How does this new friend affect these characters relationships? Ooh I can't tell you any more. You should read this book if you enjoy NOT being able to guess the ending. You should read this book if you like stories with only a few set characters. You should read this book of you enjoy thining about the plot when you aren't reading it!

The book starts out slow but picks up half way through. Once it picked up it was impossible to put down and addicting. I needed to know what Rachel's deal was. Helen's husband is questionable too. He seems like he's checked out but then at times acts like he cares about Helen. Don't be put off by the slow start because it all makes sense in the end!

Greenwich Park is so full of secrets and twists that I couldn't stop reading it. I was enthralled by what was happening with Helen and her new mysterious "friend," Rachel, whom she meets at a prenatal class. What the heck was going on with Rachel anyway? Quite a character, and seemingly quite a conniver.

Helen is caught up in refurbishing her family home, pregnant with a long-anticipated child, dealing with an increasingly distant husband and now involved in a strange friendship with an off-the-wall new friend. It's a lot to handle, but there's so much more to come.

I found myself suspicious of everyone's actions throughout the book, yet I never could quite figure out how the story was going to end. And what an ending! If you're the type of person who likes to read the last page of the book first, DON'T DO IT. Read straight through until the. very. last. sentence.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Books for a copy of this thriller in exchange for my honest opinion. A STRONG 4 stars!

The closest thing to Gone Girl since Gone Girl! I genuinely didn’t see the big final twist until it was happening and that a triumph itself. So indulgent, fun, and well paced. I also feel her character building was spot on.

This thriller had everything I love! Mystery, murder, suspense, drama, and some evil people! It kept me guessing throughout the entire book and took me a while to piece it all together. I love books that don’t give away everything until the end. If you’re into thrillers, be on the lookout for this one!

Excuse me, excuse me. You're telling me Greenwich Park is Katherine Faulkner's DEBUT novel?

It's fantastic. While it has some tiny nitpicky tropes in it that aren't my favorite (like the full "here's how everything happened" at the end), that doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the book overall. It was a slow burn at first, but in a great way. The characters were fleshed out and made real. It had a nice, solid twist (or two!) that kept me guessing until the end. And the writing was really, really great. I could visualize the setting and characters easily, making them more real, more relatable, more sympathetic.

I'm so grateful that I got to read the ARC of this (thanks NetGalley and the publisher), and fully look forward to Faulkner's future novels, if this one is any indication of how stellar they'll be.

Helen is on cloud nine. After years of trying she is finally going to have a baby of her own, she's married to the love of her life, and she has the house of her dreams. Everything is perfect...until she attends her first prenatal class. There she meets the brash Rachel...a mommy to be who is loud and smokes and drinks. And for some reason she takes a shine to Helen. Try as she might Helen can't seem to shake Rachel...who just always "happens to be in the neighborhood" and inserts herself into Helen's life. Things go from bad to worse when it turns out Rachel shares a past with Helen's friends and family and threatens to expose a secret buried long ago.

Wow...this book took me on quite a ride. The pace was fast and the chapters were short (which I love). It was hard to know which characters to trust throughout the story. No one was quite as they appeared on the surface. I thought I had everything figured out and for the most part I was right...until the very end when I was surprised by the final twist. I didn't love the "Greenwich Park" parts of the story, but I am willing to overlook that as the rest of the story was engrossing.

I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for this ARC.

One of the absolute hardest parts of being a mom go a newborn (other than the sleep deprivation) is cluster feeding. When cluster feeding strikes, you’ll be stuck on the couch/chair/bed for hours.

My second is now cluster feeding and I decided to make the most of my time and catch up on my NetGalley reads. Katherine Faulkner is a first time novelist but her writing is absolutely stellar. Not only did the content keep me hooked and guessing up until the end, but her writing is also mesmerizing:

“We walk through the park, where the giant horse chestnut trees are just starting to shed. An early smattering of golden leaves have sailed out of the iron gates and onto the pavements, collecting in rusty pools in drains and doorways. Some people are sitting on the outside tables at the pavilion, bathing in the disappearing warmth. They sit in coats, but with their faces to the sun, eyelids closed, enjoying every last drop. A waitress weaves around them, clearing the tables, balancing coffee cups and crumb-strewn plates on her tray, her pale gray apron tied in a little bow at her waist.”

Greenwich Park kept me tuned in until the very last page, even despite all the sleep deprivation! I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Faulkner.

TW: Rape, Baby Loss

This is good read for those readers that are fans of Lisa Jewell. It is a VERY slow burn though. It takes a while for the suspense to get there, and really, the character, Rachel, that you are meant to not like...the author does too good of a job. Rachel was over the top cringe-worthy to me and it made it difficult for me to read. I was surprised to find out the "who" at the end, and I wasn't expecting it at all, so the author accomplished what they set out to do.

There was one particular writing issue that I had and it was towards the end, when the MC, Helen, is conversing with Vilmos, the construction worker. The author deliberately wrote Viloms' part in a broken English style in quotes, which to me, felt unnecessary, as Vilmos' race/language/ethnicity did not have anything to do with the story, and could have been completely left out, or been written normally. To me, it felt like it added some stigmatization that the construction worker was not English speaking, and really, there was no point to add that to the story.

WOW. This book. All the emotions. The story follows Helen during her pregnancy and the friendship that she starts with Rachel. But is Rachel who she says she is? And why does she keep popping up everywhere that Helen frequents?
I started out loving the story and the characters. Then I went to this place of getting slightly annoyed a bit, but looking back I am so glad that I did. The writer really has a way of getting you invested into the characters. And I was invested. The last half of the book I probably lost more sleep than I should have with a newborn. IT WAS THAT GOOD. The book had me guessing UNTIL THE VERY END. I don't want to divulge anything because the twists and turns in this book are just too good to spoil. Grab a comfy chair, a cup of your beverage choice and enjoy! 4,5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I love thrillers like this one where everyone is totally unreliable and unlikeable and the story is about how well do you really know the people around you like your friends and family and partner! The relationships between the characters were complicated but also easy to keep track of because of the compelling storyline. I think it is a testament to the author's writing talent that even though I didn't like the characters because they're so messed up in their own individual ways I still couldn't put the book down and needed to know how it all unfolded. My favorite character was Katie but I also appreciated the badassness of Rachel. Rachel's character and what we find out about her towards the end of the story reminded me a lot of the movie Promising Young Woman in a way.

Intriguing and suspenseful plot. At first, it was difficult to follow the characters, but after reading more, the character development became clearer.

Thank you for the advanced copy of Greenwhich Park.
I loved the suspense of this book. I couldn’t put it down!
Helen’s idyllic life—handsome architect husband, gorgeous Victorian house, and cherished baby on the way (after years of trying)—begins to change the day she attends her first prenatal class and meets Rachel, an unpredictable single mother-to-be. Rachel doesn’t seem very maternal: she smokes, drinks, and professes little interest in parenthood. Still, Helen is drawn to her. Maybe Rachel just needs a friend. And to be honest, Helen’s a bit lonely herself. At least Rachel is fun to be with. She makes Helen laugh, invites her confidences, and distracts her from her fears.

But her increasingly erratic behavior is unsettling. And Helen’s not the only one who’s noticed. Her friends and family begin to suspect that her strange new friend may be linked to their shared history in unexpected ways. When Rachel threatens to expose a past crime that could destroy all of their lives, it becomes clear that there are more than a few secrets laying beneath the broad-leaved trees and warm lamplight of Greenwich Park.

This book simmered all the way through. I found it bit longer than necessary...or rather it felt like it took longer than necessary for me to read it.
But I mostly enjoyed it. I mean, I'd certainly read K. Faulkner again.

I feel like this is one of those rare books that would work better as a movie. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the book. It just had a lot going on and the ending just felt a bit rushed.

Just finished this and absolutely loved it - a real page turner, and stayed up far too late one night to finish it, as I couldn't put it down!

3 1/2 stars. Much better than the recent books by her contemporaries like Ruth Ware.. This actually reminded me of one of my favorites, Sometimes I Lie in terms of pacing and misdirection. Fans of this genre, definitely will find this book a welcome addition to their shelves. Thank you for the advanced copy!

This opens with a diary-like entry and I immediately felt like I was reading “the push”. This is that atmospheric, mysterious, spooky thriller type book about new moms in New York. I am here for it. This is a Buzzy read worthy of all the TV book club books.
