I want to thank Darynda Jones, St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for giving me the chance to read this for an honest review...

Awkward Conversations with her bff, Serial killers, trying to figure out who the Dangerous Daughters are and trying to solve her own abduction that happened years prior is all in a days work for Sunshine.

Not only are her parents trying to set her up which is a DISTASTER!! She gets noticed that one of the Ravinder's wants to talk to her...in prison...

I LOVED this book...I went through all the emotions Laughing out Loud, Crying, and than shock at how the story ended.

I can't wait for the next book to find out more

I have been so excited for this book to come out! And now .... I can’t wait for book #3! Darynda, can you please write faster? Love these characters, and this quirky town! When I virtually turned the last page, I kept looking for another chapter. I will be anxiously awaiting that next book! Definitely give this series a whirl,,,,

I don't think it is possible for me to be disappointed by Darynda Jones, A Good Day for Chardonnay is just as gut wrenching, steamy and exciting as every book I've read of hers.

How does one person write charecters so amazing you have no choice but to fall in love with them everytime? One second you're just enjoying the story laughing about a raccoon then you're in tears because you're so immersed in the world you can't help but cry with everyone else.

The story itself answered a ton of questions from the first book and left you with a different set of questions. The ending was great it left you wanting more and excited for the next book but also wasn't a cliff hanger so you don't feel like you were cheated. The charecters are obviously amazingly written and have depth to them, I'm shocked this had me crying like a baby at one point.

Everything about this book is amazing and you won't regret for a second taking a ride with the Del Sol sheriff. Thank you NetGalley and Darynda Jones for allowing me the chance for my ride along.

Sunshine Vicram, her daughter Auri, and their collective family, friends and community are back for more madcap action in the second installment of this new series by Darynda Jones. I don't know if the first two books in this series are quite as funny as some of Jones' Charley Davidson series, but so far everything is grounded in reality, which adds to the enjoyment. While the Davidson series got continuously more fantastical as it went along, as of book two, Sun Vicram is a fairly ordinary woman who is sheriff of the small town she grew up in. It just so happens that the town, in addition to attracting tourists, also seems to attract trouble. It has inherent trouble in the Ravinder family, but in this story a boy that went missing in Sun's first case as a detective in Santa Fe makes a reappearance when a friend of long time crush Levi Ravinder is viciously attacked and Levi is hurt trying to protect him. Meanwhile, Auri can't keep herself and her friends out of trouble as she decides an octogenarian known for outlandish crime confessions is responsible for the disappearance of a dozen boarders at her house forty years ago and goes about trying to prove it. These stories have a great cast of entertaining characters, though the number can be a bit unwieldly and the transitions back and forth between Sun and Auri's adventures does tend to break up the flow of the book some. Still, I'd definitely recommend this book and the series to anyone that likes a light-hearted and sexy mystery.

Loved this book, second in the series. Great writing, lots of humor and even a twist or two in the story. Looking forward to the next book. I will recommend this book to all my friends. New author for me that I'm excited to follow. I would like to thank St. Martin's Press for allowing me to read an advance copy.

A Good Day for Chardonnay by Darynda Jones is the second book in her Sunshine Vicram series. Darynda Jones is a genius at balancing laugh so hard it hurts humor with characters that you instantly fall in love with and cry over their personal tragedies with them.

This book had absolutely absurd and delightful moments like Sunshine’s deputy being absolutely terrorized by a racoon – to the point where he called everyone on the force to be his backup.

And moments that had me aching, even crying with heartbreak. No spoilers but OMG you'll know when you get there.

If you loved the first book, A Good Day for Sunshine, you’re going to love this one even harder.
More witty banter
More sexy Levi moments
More Auri being big-hearted and fearless
More investigating what really happened when Sunny was abducted

My only complaint is that it was over too soon! Darynda Jones’ writing just grabs you and pulls you under and you don’t surface until you read the last page.

If you’re a quirky small-town sheriff mystery lover or a slow-smoldering romance fan or maybe stories about family, both biological and found, who enjoys all of the feels – the funnies and the gut punches, this is for you. Actually? I defy anyone to read this and not fall in love with these characters.

Another story in the Sunshine series about a small town police chief. I have read the previous book and would recommend that they be read in order as it would give you a better insight to Sunshine the main character. It is a combination of various nefarious infractions to be found in a small town with the underlying and unsolved kidnapping of Sunshine when she was a teenager always at the in the murky shadows. I found the book to be delightful and enjoyable. My only negative would be the very descriptive sex scene. I do not feel the story required such detail. I would buy this book for friends.

I have rated this book 4 stars.

I received an ARC from Netgalley for my unbiased review.

I really, really enjoy this series! The cast of characters is excellent, and we love love love a small-town mystery. It’s not *quite* cozy - there is an undercurrent of violence and...seediness? But it strikes a very good balance of comedy & quirkiness with some real tense moments and a well-paced plot. Some questions are answered in this one, but there are still LOTS more mysteries to uncover and I can’t wait to read more about all of them.

A Good Day for Chardonnay was so fantastic, I just love this series! I was beyond excited to hear I scored an ARC of this much sought after book, it made my whole year, thank you to Netgalley, St. Martin’s Press and Darynda Jones. I will be leaving my voluntary review here, on Goodreads and also on amazon, B&N and social media after publication. I have been dying for more Sunshine and the gang since book 1, I missed these characters so much this last year.

So thrilled to have gotten my Del Sol fix again…Chardonnay kicks off with a hilarious adventure involving the Del Sol sheriffs dept and a rascally raccoon. The action just intencifies and does not stop the entire book!

I adore Levi and Auri’s relationship, their sweet bond makes my heart squeeze every time they are in a scene together. Auri is definitely her mother’s daughter and set on solving a local crime involving a serial killer. Doing so, we also get a glimpse at another town myth….the Dangerous Daughters. Sunshine has her own mysteries to solve, First, the attempted murder of former special ops Keith Seabright. Seabright is a friend of Sunshine’s secret crush all around badass hottie Levi Ravinder. Along with her own kidnapping 15 years ago that still has so many missing pieces.

Chardonnay kept me totally engrossed in the mysteries, relationships, emotions and revelations I never wanted the book to end. Each book is absolutely worth the wait, such an epic fun ride, and that LAST SCENE!

This was a great #2 in the series. New mystery to solve and the old mystery still hanging around. Sunshine's daughter Auri had a major role in this book and it was a good additional point of view. Overall, fun and suspenseful at the same time. I will definately continue to read this series. Recommened.

Sunshine Vicram is just getting used to this sheriff thing, damn it, when all hell breaks loose again in the small town of Del Sol, New Mexico. Seriouslyx can’t we just deal with one thing at a time?

Actually, that was my main criticism of book 1. SO. MANY. THINGS. I felt slapped around by the middle of the book and it felt like wasn’t going to get any answers to my five thousand questions!

So I started book 2 a little leery. And was very pleasantly surprised. While none of the elements are left out in this installment, they all blend so much better. Maybe I just needed the intro and time to process.

Because there’s a LOT to process here, and most of it starts with a Levi and ends with a Ravinder....

So I’m hooked now. Get me the next edition because I need that man’s ginger awesomeness to come back around!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this free copy. These opinions are my own.

How can you say no to a mystery that has you laughing out loud one minute, has you tense and on edge the next, and then throw in the hope for romance to finally erupt? Sheriff Sunshine Vicram, her daughter Auri, and the rest of the crew from the first book in the series, A Bad Day For Sunshine, are back and involved in some new investigations, as well as continuing to investigate the mystery of what happened to Sunshine when she was abducted as a 17 year old.
Darynda Jones has a way of sucking you into her characters lives that makes it hard to put the book down, and while she ties some of the mysteries at the end, there is always enough of a cliffhanger to leave you anxiously awaiting the next book. Sunshine is always a welcome addition to my reading list.
Thank you #NetGalley#StMartins

I adored this second book in the Sunshine Vicram series.

Darynda Jones writes humor that is both smart yet quirky and so far both books in this new series deliver.

Much like A Bad Day for Sunshine, there are multiple mysteries happening at the same time. We have the case Sunshine is working on as Sheriff, a mystery Auri has taken an interest in, and the ongoing mystery as to what happened to Sunshine when she was kidnapped as a teenager.

As much as I love reading about Sunshine and all the crazy situations she finds herself in, I found myself in the first half of the book anticipating the next scene that would include Levi. Thankfully, after the half way mark, their stories intertwine much more. Their banter and tension is the highlight of the series for me.

I was so happy that by the end of the book we finally had some of the answers as to who rescued Sunshine and who Auri’s father was.

The book did end on a little bit of a cliffhanger (not in a bad way) and I have decided that the only negative to receiving an advanced reader copy is having to wait that much longer for the next book!

A big thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series. I loved it!!! What a wild ride! It is an interesting story. I really loved Levi too LOL but apparently everone does. This has a fun cast of characters. Keep them coming! 5 stars

I want more Sunny, Levi, Auri, Quincy and the rest already and I JUST FINISHED! The humor, action, mystery and secrets just keep me on the edge of my seat, and the romantic angles are fabulous.

This series truly fills the void now that Charley Davidson and Reyes are gone, but they will never be forgotten.

Also, blind dates like Sun’s are real, and why nobody wants to go on one! Her parents just crack me up.

I also love the chapter headers. I need Del Sol to be a real place, I would totally visit all of the businesses. How can you not want to go to a church that advertises teaching turning water into wine?

Wow! Another great entry in the Sunshine Vicram series of books. I received an advance reader copy of the book in exchange for a review and that in no way has any bearing on my review of this book. This book picks up where the first one left off and continues with the back and forth between Sunshine and Levi and Hailey as well. Auri and Cruz have their own adventures as well. Look forward to the next book in this series

I always tell myself to take my time when I pick up a book like this ... and the. I ignore myself and notice the sun is coming up and the book is finished

This is one of those books you sit down and forget anything else is going on. Sleep? Food? Responsibilities? Non-existent.

Darynda writes characters you want to meet and become best friends with. The bonus? These new friends come with humor, sarcasm, touching moments and adventure aplenty.

I can’t wait for #3 ...

Sheriff Sunshine Vicram is back in the second installment of the hilarious series that bears her name. A few months have passed since we last saw Sun, and since then her parents managed to con her into going on some really terrible blind dates. The current one is definitely the worst, so it's a huge relief when her deputy calls with an emergency, cutting the date short. A raccoon emergency. At his own house. But hey, it got her out of a creepy coffee date, so there's that!

All too soon her attention is diverted from Randy the Attack Raccoon to a stabbing and hit-and-run at the bar owned by Levi Ravinder, the man she's been in love with since childhood. One man is taken to the ICU, one refuses medical treatment, and a third has his body dumped down a nearby ravine. But before she heads out to track down witnesses to an altercation between the stabbing victim and unknown assailants earlier in the day, Sun receives a message from one of Levi's uncles, claiming to have information about her abduction 15 years ago, and her destination changes. Upon returning to Del Sol, Sunshine is stunned to recognize the face of a young kidnapping victim on security camera footage from the previous day--a child who went missing years ago. Meanwhile, Sun's daughter Auri decides to enlist the help of her boyfriend and best friend in investigating a serial killer from decades ago.

I absolutely LOVED this book. The witty, snappy dialogue and multiple plot threads interwove with tender personal moments. One minute I was laughing out loud, and the next (OK, mostly later in the book) I was sobbing and trying to explain to my kids why Mommy was so sad. I am grateful some questions from the first book were answered or at least partially resolved, even if the answers to the biggest were completely obvious the entire time to everyone but Sun. As per usual, the breakneck pace made putting my iPad down nearly impossible. Plus, I just wanted to spend more time with the characters. And hug them. And join the secret club.

For readers' advisors: story, character, and language are all very strong doorways. There is quite a lot of swearing, some sexual content, some on- and off-screen violence, some alcohol, and a couple of scenes where children or teens are in danger (they survive).

Many many thanks to NetGalley, Darynda Jones, and St. Martin's Publishing Group for letting me read an eGalley copy in exchange for my honest review. Um, when does the next book come out? Is it soon? Please may I read it right away? Please??

I have been in a book reading slump the past several months. Then I got an ARC of A Good Day for Chardonnay! I started reading it and got sucked back into Sunshine’s world. This book did not disappoint my expectations at all. I loved every minute of reading this and I can not wait until it is released and I can listen to it too!
