I unfortunately couldn't not finish it. Not because it was a bad book. I liked what I read but very emotional read that I could not handle.

Oh my, what a beautifully written, emotional read! I'll be honest (and I will apologise to Alison now) because this was my first book of hers! I am literally kicking myself for waiting so long. What a talented author! My heart strings have been well and truly pulled and snapped! Get your tissues ready because this book is a real tear jerker! A beautiful family is put in an awful position that really makes you think of all the little things we take for granted.
I love a book that makes you think. But when a book makes you reflect, not only on the story, but on your own life too, for me that's a sign that the author has done a tremendous job!

I could not finish this book. It was too depressing. I normally would try to finish it but could not even get into the story line without being too bored.

This was an absolute wonderful story! Alison Ragsdale writes such amazing story about two heartbreaking incidents that change a family forever but in the end they overcome it and move on even with the sadness. Make sure to have plenty of free time because you won’t want to put this down! 🥳

OMG, this broke my heart completely. It was so emotional where the mother had to choose between two people she loved to save one of them. The author managed to pack a bucketload of emotions, my heart seemed to wrench apart. I loved how everything was dealt with sensitively, but it was still a heartbreaking story.

by Alison Ragsdale was just breathtaking and a superbly written throughout. Alison has written with so much love and you will feel for all the characters within this book. Oh, you will need tissues for this book .

Her Last Chance is heartbreaking, emotional and had me crying many times. Alison Ragsdale knows exactly how to capture the reader’s attention. I loved the characters & the complex plot. I’ll be telling everyone about this book!

When Ava and Rick bring their daughter, Carly, in to see a specialist, they receive some devastating news. Carly has a rare genetic disorder that will alter the course of her life. Both Ava and Rick feel like the bottom has dropped as one or both of them may have the gene that Carly now has. This is a terrible blow for any parent to know that they may be the cause of their child’s rare disorder. I can only imagine the heart ache and torment any parent would go through and we see that in both Ava and Rick. But, this is not the only blow that this family will go through. A tragic accident changes all of their lives leaving Ava facing a very difficult decision.

I don’t really want to say too much of what is going on in this story as it is better to go in blind. But, you will feel the emotions pouring off the pages ten fold. This is a heartbreaking and really sad story revolving around a family that has to make some deeply devastating choices. Ava might be an emotional mess, but her family always comes first, but how does one make the hardest decisions of their life? This is really a running question throughout the story and really makes you wonder what you would do if faced with the same situation.

This is not an easy read by any means and you may need a box of tissues handy as this story will make you cry. Alison Ragsdale hits on every emotion with her incredible dialogue endearing you to each of the characters in the story. The story is told with suich honesty that it makes this story seem so real. While this is a sad story there are also uplifting parts as the family try their best to hold themselves together to get through their pain which brings them even closer together.

If you love emotional, heartfelt stories that will make you cry then you do not want to miss Alison Ragsdale’s latest book, Her Last Chance.

Her novels are always smart family stories with complex drama that you can tell is extensively researched! This story knocked it out of the park for me.

“Her Last Chance” had me begging to comfort the characters from their razor-sharp anguish that had me crying out.

I even paused to wonder if it was me that needed comforting.

Don’t get me wrong, this story isn’t all sadness. But, those were the parts that compelled me to keep reading. I needed relief, if there was any!

To elevate our deeply-seated emotions to this level takes sheer talent. I imagine the profound suffering Alison Ragsdale’s pen must sense after some scenes are written, let alone Alison herself. I thank her for this gift.

Alison always gets it right! Her storytelling is superb! Gold-Star!

I did enjoy this book even though it started out slow for me. It didn't take long to start getting into the book. I would still recommend it.

Could you make the impossible choice between the life of your loving husband or your only daughter? When Eva's daughter Carly is diagnosed with a genetic disease,  Eva and Rick will do anything to give Carly a last chance at normal life.  But when a devastating accident occurs, Eva is forced to make an impossible decision for her family.  This is a heart-rending story of the impossible choices sometimes we are forced to make and how we get through. 

I love the positive voice in which Alison Ragsdale chooses to tell her story. The story reads like a Hallmark movie that takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions yet leaves you hopeful in the end.  Her characters felt real and the story all too realistic. I wished the book was part of a series so we may continue to delve in the lives of these characters. I will be sure to give this authors other books a try.

What a beautiful story of the love that bond’s family. Alison Ragsdale holds nothing back in her latest book Her Last Chance. Alison continues to bring her characters’ lives so close to home you feel you’re experiencing their day-to-day lives with them. Her protagonist, Ava, is a fine example. Ava is a mother who shows her undying love in everything she does. Ten year old Carly is another character Alison portrays fabulously, especially through her actions. Her Last Chance by Alison Ragsdale is a book I highly recommend. Make sure you have tissues handy as your emotions are guaranteed to go on a ride while immersed in another passionate read of Alison’s.

What a wonderful book. Full of heartache but so beautifully written.it makes you look at your life and think what if something happened that you could not change or stop from happening. They coped with the trauma and upset and came out the other side.

I will definitely be looking for this author again.
