This is the fifth book in the all day breakfast cafe mystery series. I highly recommend reading them in order.

Gia and her best friend, Savannah, keep managing to find themselves in trouble. Savannah mysteriously vanishes after showing a mansion to a bigwig client, Gia investigates the house Savannah was trying to sell. The first clue she finds is Savannah's car in the driveway. Inside the house, they stumble on Savannah's potential buyer who is dead.

Gia later finds Savannah lying unconscious at the back of the cafe building. How did she wind up there? And who killed Buster ? Savannah and Gia decide to get to the bottom of things (even while being warned to stay out of it.).

I enjoyed the characters as usual and I liked the storyline. I recommend this series for any cozy mystery lover.

Gia Morelli owns the All Day Breakfast Café in Boggy Creek, Florida. Her best friend Savannah is a real estate agent, and has been given the opportunity to show a mansion to Buster Clarke. When Earl, the cafe's first (and regular) customer hears about it, he asks Savannah not to go. When she won't budge, he asks her to bring someone with her. But Savannah, insistent she knows what she's doing, doesn't take his advice. When Savannah doesn't return at an allotted time when she was supposed to pick out her wedding dress with Gia, Gia gets worried enough that she enlists the help of her friend Trevor to go find her.

When they arrive at the mansion, they don't find Savannah, but they do find a very dead Buster. They call the police, and Savannah's police officer boyfriend Leo, and cousin Hunt, chief detective, show up and are worried sick for her. But Gia feels guilty and isn't about to let Hunt look for Savannah without her. Now Gia needs to figure out who took her friend -- but when rival business people (and possibly underworld figures) the Clarkes and Espositios get involved, it soon becomes clear that something much larger is occurring -- and Gia might be right in the middle of it...

This is the fifth book in the series, and I must say that I enjoyed it so thoroughly that I read it in one sitting. The action starts right at the beginning, and then twists all its threads to go in different directions that keep you wondering where they're going to lead. Once you decide that you know where everything is heading, it changes, and there's secrets and surprises galore.

One big surprise shows up later in the book, and it could change everything that's been going on, and the person to figure it out isn't Gia, which is another surprise. But the threads finally come together, and you get to see the picture that is being woven. When it all comes together in the end, it does so not without losses, but gives us something to look forward to in the next book. Oh, and did I say that I love Alfie? Highly recommended.

Savannah still needs a venue for her wedding Gia thinks she may have the perfect place. While Savannah goes off to show a prospective client a home, Gia hopes to figure out the wedding venue and get through the rest of the work day so she and Savannah can go shopping for a wedding gown! But Savannah doesn’t show up and no one can find her, so Gia drives to the house Savannah was showing and finds the client dead and Savannah missing.

With the whole town wanting to find Savannah safe, Gia keeps beating herself up over letting her friend go to show the house alone. When Gia finds an unconscious Savannah outside the restaurant’s backdoor, she’s beyond relieved, but still committed to finding out who did this to Savannah and why. Can Gia and the gang figure it out before the killer strikes again if and when Savannah’s memories of the kidnapping come back?

This is the fifth book in the series, and it keeps getting better with each new entry. From New York City to Florida, Gia and Savannah are more than BFFs they are sisters and that makes this series even more cozy. Looking forward to book numbers six and hopefully many more over time.

Gia Morelli, owner of All-Day Breakfast Café in Boggy Creek is helping her friend Savannah, a real estate agent plan her wedding. Meanwhile, Savannah is in the process of selling an expensive property— the old Oakley Manor House—to a man named Buster Clarke. Buster happens to be a loan shark with a colorful reputation.

Savannah and her prospective buyer are scheduled to meet at the cafe and then drive to the house together but one of the cafe’s patrons, an elderly man named Earl who knows of Buster’s reputation has tried talking Savannah out of going alone to the house with Buster.
Savannah eventually agrees to go in a separate car. She’s supposed to come back to the cafe so she and Gia could go shopping.

When Savannah doesn’t show up Gia heads to the house with a friend named Trevor to check on Savannah only to find Buster Clarke lying dead in a bathtub in one of the rooms. In his hand is a nail gun. Soon afterward, a woman's body is discovered in the lake near the same house. 🏠 Savannah is still nowhere to be found.

Gia later finds Savannah lying unconscious at the back of the cafe building. How did she wind up there? And who killed Buster and the unknown woman? Overall an interesting cozy mystery. Would recommend

Gia Morelli runs the 'All-Day Breakfast Café', a diner in Boggy Creek, Florida and is helping her bestie, Savannah plan a wedding. While showing a piece of real estate Savannah goes incommunicado and Gia goes looking for her but finds a body in a bathtub instead. When the missing one is found behind the diner, she has been drugged, and when Gia brings her to her own home she finds it ransacked, and Thor, Gia's Bernese Mountain Dog drugged. And of course there is the matter of the second murder victim. The characters certainly are, the imagery is beautiful, the plot twisty with red herrings, and plenty of suspense. Loved it!

Whole Latte Murder" the 5th instalment in the "All Day Breakfast Cafe" Mystery series by Lena Gregory. I love this series and was so glad to see book 5 was coming out and that there is a book 6 in the works.

Each book seems better than the last, I enjoy how the relationships are progressing and that Gia adopted one of the kittens Thor rescued in the last book.. The story pulled me in straight away and held my attention till the very end. There were plenty of twists and turns, and enough intrigue to keep you reading throughout and per usual with this series I read in one sitting.

I recommend this book to all my cozy lover friends.
