I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Cute! I liked all the characters and themes. Liked all the representation. Could use a little more explanation about the app and things around that.

I did enjoy this book, but there were a few elements that left me a bit unsatisfied.
I liked the writing style and the plot. I did like the first chapter and how quickly I got hooked. I adored how diverse the cast was without feeling forced. And I really liked the inclusion of a hearing impaired character.
I felt quite ambivalent towards the main character. There were instances where I really liked her, but other situations she just seemed a bit spoilt and unreliable. I did not like how she treated Cori. I also didn't think that the reason they broke up towards the end was a good enough one. It just felt weak.
An enjoyable read.

The tagline got me: "What if you already met the soul mate you were destined to be with? And you didn’t even know it?"

OK, sure, I'm in. This is a women's fiction novel with some romance, and a nice story about friendship and connection. It's also an extremely diverse cast of characters, which I found really refreshing.

I liked the premise of this book even though it didn’t completely deliver. Corinne moves back to Chicago after her best friends dies. She doesn’t know a lot of people, and one day an app called Met shows up on her phone. It tells her she’s going to meet four connections from her past, and one of them is her soulmate.
I liked the characters involved, but the app bothered me. Maybe that’s because I’ve never dated through an app, my kids have. I was surprised no one really cared how the app got on her phone!
3 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I couldn't finish this book due to an error on my side. But from how much I read, I can say that it is a quirky rom-com with a background in race discrimination. I quite loved the concept of the app and wish I could have finished the book. Looking forward to read more books by the same author.

This was as nice quick read for me. As someone who is new to online dating, I definitely could relate. I enjoyed the diversity of the characters and the development of the main character. I didn’t quite like the ending. Overall, this book left me feeling just okay.

'Have We Met?' sounded like a fun read and for the most part it was decently written. However I just couldn't gel with it, which is fine as I know not all books are for everyone!

I found my main issue is that I really did not like the main character, not being able to warm to her just made getting through the book itself a slog.

A plus point however goes to the diversity and inclusivity throughout the book which I think was wonderful and well done. For a debut novel I think overall the author did well, it just wasn't a book for me but I can see how others will LOVE it.

As I didn't enjoy this book at would rate low I will not be posting this on my socials.

I LOVED this book! Sometimes you just need a good romance to get you back into the reading spirit and that's what this one was for me.

I loved everything about it! Highly recommend!

To be completely honest I wanted to give it 2 🌟 but I felt bad, it's the author's debut novel and it wasn't really bad, it was just 2 🌟 "okay" but this novel wasn't for me!!
I started reading it thinking it was a "romance" but it is not a romance!

This novel is about a magical dating app "MET" that just showed up on our heroine's phone fueled (created!) by her dead best friend.
The app claimed that Corrine already met her soul mate and it gonna send her four candidate so Cori can choose who of them is her soul mate.

Thanks to Lake Union Publishing and Netgalley for this advanced copy.

Absolutely one of my top 3 favorite books this summer! It is simply the perfect modern rom-com. It brought a touch of magic to technology and dating apps. I don’t know much about programming, but even if this is unlikely to happen in real life, it was easy to get into the story and to forgo the unrealistic aspect of Met.

I loved the characters, the group dynamic, the road she has to go through to get closure on her best friend’s death. Everything about this book was great. I can’t wait for more books from this new author!

I wrote this book, so naturally I loved it. It was so much fun to write and the A-Pub team is amazing.

The foundation of the story is the passing of Joelle, Corinne's best friend and platonic soul mate. I actually enjoyed this bittersweet storyline, Joelle really felt like a force even though she was not truly present in the novel. Corinne defining her life based on her relationship with Joelle sounds like a risky motive but it worked really well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this fun, original idea! This is a book I feel would translate really well into a movie. The writing in this book was wonderfully descriptive. I could really picture every scene vividly as I read it.
While this was obviously a love story, it was also a real testament to the power and importance of friendship. Even though she had passed away before this story starts, Cori's best friend, Joelle, is an integral part to the story. I am glad that Cori ended up really coming into her own throughout the story. She ends up reconnecting with multiple people (some good, some bad), figures out a career choice, and eventually finds love.
This book was really a slow burn, but the Cori/y's had great chemistry. Cory is so kind and caring. And the love abstract?! I think that may be one of my favorite grand gestures ever!
Overall, a really enjoyable book. I will definitely read Camille Baker's next book.
