I was interested in the premise of having four short novels together in one book and it was cool to see all of the stories interconnected. I was, however, rather disappointed.

I found the first story (written by Toni Shiloh) to be shallow. The main character was superficial and too perfect. Everything fell into place with the romance but in such a way that the drama had to be fabricated through a misunderstanding. The supporting cast of that story was subpar, with the main character and her love interest getting terrible advice. The whole thing felt cheesy and frustrating.

Every other story had the same cheesy, superficial tone. I think that's because of the nature of the main characters--they're all in their thirties, single, and obsessed with finding a husband. They're either too pretty or plain but pretty to the eyes of the love interest. I was really not impressed.
