I was excited about this one but it was not what I thought it was. The Setting was fun, Characters were good. But it was not an epistolary book. There are very few emails or notes in this book. Still a cute story.

A fun, lighthearted romance. As others have said, Mr. Rogers meets You’ve Got Mail. Emails fly back and forth between the handsome, empathetic Everett, who is the creator of a popular kids tv show, and Teddy, a heartbroken young woman trying to find new path forward in life. What an adorable little read!! I remember reading Waiting for Tom Hanks and thinking it was just so heartwarming, so I was so excited to get this ARC. Winfrey makes her books about relationship over physical, and she makes her characters so loveable you can't help cheering for them. Teddy and Everett's emails totally cracked me up, and Teddy's best friends had me laughing out loud constantly. I could see this being a super cute film. Great read!

Very Sincerely Yours was a very cute and cheesy rom-com read. I fell in love with the cute cover and the potential for this book. However, the characters were just really odd to me, and felt like the romance aspect just didn’t make sense at all.

It was still a cute quick read, and if you love friends to lovers and an adorable closed-door romance then this one is for you. The friends and family aspect was very cute and I loved those storylines.

Right off, I want to say that this story was absolutely adorable! The character development was done so well and I loved the dual point of views.

Teddy spoke to me with her indecisiveness. She doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life after being recently dumped by her boyfriend whom she molded her life around serving. I completely understood how she wasn’t sure what her passion was and with the help of her best friends, she takes on doing one scary thing a day. I loved that indecisiveness wasn’t wrapped up in a bow and solidified.

Everett was just the cutest! Picture a super sexy and hotter Mr. Rogers and that is Everett. He was such a teddy bear and sweet and honest from the beginning. I loved that he wasn’t this complicated character with one flaw of being too engrossed into his work.

A lighthearted and sweet story, Winfrey proves once again why she is an auto-buy author for romance fans.

The upcoming rom-com from Kerry Winfrey, Very Sincerely Yours, was just absolutely adorable.

When Teddy’s boyfriend ends their five-year relationship and asks her to move out of their home, it completely throws her for a loop. Sure, she’s spent most of her time doing whatever he wanted and trying to please him, but that’s what people in a relationship do, right?

She quickly finds out no one liked her controlling ex-boyfriend, but now she’s at a dead end of sorts. She enjoys her job working in a vintage toy store, but is that a real career? What does she actually want from life? What is her “thing”?

One thing she does enjoy is watching episodes of a local children’s television show, more because she finds the host, Everett, to be handsome and he seems to have all the answers. (She’s not the only adult female enamored of Everett—there are message boards of suburban moms talking lustfully about him.)

She decides to write Everett and ask for advice. It’s rare that he receives a letter from an adult that isn’t sexual in nature, so he’s excited. The two begin corresponding and it becomes a highlight for both of them, so they decide to take the next step and meet.

As Teddy searches for purpose, Everett is at a crossroads with his career and life, too. He's always known what he wanted to do, and he has an opportunity to expand the show. But has he sacrificed everything else in his life for the sake of his career?

Can two people unsure of what they want from life and their futures find a secure footing for happiness?

I really loved this. I’m a huge fan of Kerry Winfrey’s—she creates such unique characters who could be annoying in other people’s hands, but she makes their quirks endearing. Teddy and Everett's relationship and the story follows the path you might expect, but their flaws make everything a little more interesting.

The setting in this story was so fun, a toy story worker and the host of a children's puppet show. The secondary characters were fun and quirky. My favorite was Everett's little sister. This book shows the interesting and unknown ways your life can intersect with someone else.

I enjoyed Teddy's story of getting out of a toxic relationship and her growth. Finding herself, her journey, how to not to lose herself in a relationship. To me, this story was her journey of figuring her life out. A family who didn't see her, a boyfriend who took over her life. Her progress wasn't perfect, it was a journey and I truly enjoyed it

The romance was very light in this one and at times the pacing was a bit off. Everett and Teddy were both cute separately I just never felt the chemistry between them.

Just THE MOST delightful book I've read in a while. Teddy Phillips has a crush on the local children's show host, but she never thought that a twist of fate would bring them together. It starts with one late night email, and progresses into a full-fledged virtual pen pal situation. Teddy is in the process of figuring out exactly what she wants out of her own life, after suffering through a harsh breakup and realizing that she very rarely makes her own decisions. Is Everett what she wants, or will things grow sour between them?

Full of snappy, laugh out loud dialogue, and lovable characters that you will wish were real, I highly recommend this to anyone who loves romance, comedies, or both.

What’s your favorite rom-com film?
You’ve Got Mail is at the top of the list for me, and this book gave me all of those same vibes.

Teddy’s a toy store employee who thought her boyfriend was going to propose, instead he ended their relationship. Everett hosts a children’s television show that is kind of a cross between The Muppets and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.
One day when Teddy is watching Everett’s show and listening to him give advice to a child’s letter, she decides to write him one of her own.
This book is darling. I adored both of these characters, their jobs, their friends, and their emails back and forth. It was the perfect friends to lovers trope. I know so many of you who are going to love this book. I haven’t read Waiting for Tom Hanks, but now I need to change that.

Hurray! A five star read in romance again. I used to think that I didn’t like the genre, but I think I was just reading the wrong authors!
Teddy is a people pleaser and has wrapped her identity in her relationship and when he breaks up with her, she loses all her sense of self and self worth. Thankfully, she has amazing friends that remind her how great she is and how she deserves so much better than he ever was. One day as Teddy is watching her comfort show, she decides to send an email to the star and that starts a whole new chapter of her life.
This is charming, sweet without being cheesy or sappy and funny and I adore Teddy and Everett. And even their friends are awesome! I found myself trying to slow down reading so it wouldn’t be over yet. I can’t wait for a sequel (which is hopefully coming 🤞🏼🤞🏼)

Such a cute wholesome rom-com. Characters Teddy and Everett are super likeable that you just cheer when they get together. I did get vibes of Tom hanks big movie and you’ve got mail mixed with Mr Rogers. Life in this book is so simple and pleasant made me a bit envious to be honest.

This book was so incredibly sweet & cozy. I really really enjoyed it.

It took me a little to warm up to Teddy because she was just so consumed by her ex and had such low self-esteem. But as she really grew into her own and pushed herself to try new things I felt more and more connected.

I loved her friendship with Kristen and Eleanor. I loved how they supported her and encouraged her to do things that scared her.

I of course really enjoyed the relationship between Teddy and Everett. I loved how it started with emails and grew. I also love how their relationship made each other grow and realize things about themselves

The last person to talk about is Gretel. I really enjoyed the scenes with her. And I am a little sad she wasn’t included in the final third of the story.

Long story short, this is a sweet story about working to find your passion and your person.

This was truly a lovely read, as cozy as the sweaters Everette wears! The banter was just as fun and engrossing as Kerry's other books, and I loved the unique plot! Who would have thought reading a book about a sexy children's television show host would be a blast?

A few of the things that made this story so wonderful:
- Themes of self-worth
- Learning to live outside of work, even when you adore what you do! (This point really hit home for me.)
- Investing time in your friendships!
- I also really loved that this couple communicated so well! Never did I feel like there was drama for the sake of drama.

I would definitely call this a happy book! It's low angst, low drama, and heavy on the heart and feels! If you are a fan of Sophie Kinsella and stories that are driven by a character's journey to self-discovery, I highly recommend this book! Both hero and heroine are so easy to love!!

Kerry Winfrey made me fall in love with her work in her previous books and therefore I was eager to read Very Sincerely Yours. Teddy and Everett didn't seem fully fleshed out and the tone of the book was just perky. I am sure readers will love this, but for me my expectations might have just been too high.

I really wanted to love this book, having enjoyed Winfrey's previous two books and adoring the premise of this one, but unfortunately Very Sincerely Yours just didn't work for me. A lot of it has to do with the tone of the book; it just felt a little too perky and simplistic for me (almost like an initial draft versus a polished finished book), and I couldn't connect with it.


And as much as I really wanted to love Teddy and Everett, they felt more like caricatures than fully realized characters. There was just something about both of them (and their friends, and the overall tone of the book) that felt a little too glossy and false. I couldn't buy into their lives or their stories. I know this is fiction, but I want to buy into the story and the characters, and I never could with this book.


Things that stood out in particular was Teddy's wonderful friends, whom she admits to having neglected for almost the entirety of their friendship. How could they possibly be so close if she ditched them for a terrible boyfriend almost as soon as they'd met? Plus, so much of the book focuses on Teddy's need and desire to find her own passions in life -- and she comes so close, but ultimately this part of the story is left totally open and unresolved. I don't need every aspect of a book to be tied up neatly at the end, but as this was such a major part of the book, I expected a little more at the end.


I know plenty of readers will enjoy Very Sincerely Yours. It's a sweet premise; the execution just fell short for me.

This is more “Hallmark Romance” than “Falling-out-of-my-chair Steamy Romance” — overall a cute story, but I found it hard to like either of the lead characters. Both are extremely damaged and could have benefited from a lot of therapy. While Teddy’s uncertainty about her future, her dreams and her life are 100% relatable, her insecurity and lack of self esteem was too frustrating at times, and her decision making and actions were also super flawed at times. The epilogue and predictable engagement also didn’t satisfy me as much as I thought it would. But, I think if you don’t take it too seriously or think about it too much, the book is a lighthearted and easy read. And it did make me want to eat pints of Jenis ice cream. Overall 3.5 ⭐️

This is such a fun read- Teddy begins as a pushover who searches for her own voice and passion. Plus, who knew I'd love a book that features a hot Mr. Rogers type? With lots of fun pop culture references and a romance that begins through email (which reminded me in the best way of You've Got Mail), this is a great book for a summer read!

Very Sincerely Yours follows Teddy, who's just broken up with Rick the Dick, trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life, and Everett St. James, the host of a children's puppetry TV show trying to make it big.

These are two very different characters to write a romance for, so I wasn't totally sure about how this would translate, but overall I enjoyed it. There were times when I really struggled because Teddy is kind of a boring character. A lot of this book is her figuring out what she wants to do with the rest of her life, which is great, but her coming out of her shell is getting over her fear of bikes, and taking a sewing class.

I enjoyed it over all, but between the lack of oomphf for me as well as the severe lack of diversity, it was just okay for me. I'd probably rate it 3.5, rounding up to a 4.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. This one took me a few chapters to fall in love, but once I did.....I really enjoyed the story, and the characters. I think there is so much emphasis on knowing what you want to do today after college-and I think so many of us just don't know! It takes time and experience to grow into your career-and sometimes your career is just a job, and that's okay too. I also love the message that you can't lose yourself to be part of a couple, although this book takes that to an extreme.

I think I love Kerry Winfrey. With every book, she proves that she gets the romance genre. I loved Very Sincerely Yours. There is the perfect balance of a woman finding herself, but finding love along the way. Teddy is a treasure - she proves you don't need to have it all perfectly figured out to live a fulfilling life. And this story proves you don't have to lose yourself when you become part of a couple.

I will be happy to keep returning to the quirky world that Kerry Winfrey has created. And I'm craving some Taco Bell too...
