this was a really well done scifi novel, the storyline was well done and I enjoyed going through this book with them. The characters were great and I enjoyed the way the author writes.

This was an interesting story of space exploration and interacting with alien races. I loved watching Star Trek when I was growing up and this setting is reminiscent of Star Trek without being an exact retelling. I look forward to the next story!

I liked Stadnik's The Jumpgate, and this one as well. This is a pretty good space opera and includes a mostly engaging plot and interesting characters. I may have to circle back to some of his other books. I'm sure many space opera fans will enjoy this one.

I really appreciate the ARC for review!!

Firstly, I've not read Robert's work before and so have delved straight into Infinite Retribution blind.

What a fun read. I definitely got the space opera feel from this novel and found myself invested in characters. As a newcomer I expected to feel a little lost with the world-building but instead found myself following along easily.

After years of oppression, the military forms an alien alliance and the starship is created. We follow the crew of INFINITY on the maiden voyage and learn about the trials and tribulations that come with politics and learning to work together. There's moments of pure joy, but also the fraught tension of working with strangers and working out where their allegiances lie is a good one.
A twist or two to be found...

Solid 4 stars
