This one delved too much into the incident that happened in the past and it all just tinged the current/present part too much. It felt like there wasn't much room for Ella and Ben to grow as a couple and find each other outside of the past. While I love second chance romances, this one hardly felt like a romance and more like a 'coming to terms with' story, which isn't exactly what I went into this looking for. So as far as romances go, it wasn't really a hit with me, unfortunately

This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley. It is an intriguing book about mysteries and friendship and loyalty. The characters are realistic and the story moves quickly. Love and romance...lying...keeping facts from others...bullying...all the dynamics of the past coming together in the present. The protagonist goes back to where she and her family used to summer, and she meets up with old friends and old enemies...she was blamed for something she did not do...time for others to confess and get her off the hook. Try this one...

Being gone from the small town of Lighthouse Cove for almost two decades is really a long time to stay away.
A terrible tragedy has kept Ella away for all this time. She really would rather not think about it.
She now must return for a book tour she is doing .
It's a fact if you return to town after a long absence and you are trying to avoid someone, well of course you'll run into them and that's exactly what happens to Ella. Ben is still here and feelings from long ago flare up again.
Clean romance you can count on.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

Thankyou to NetGalley and the publisher for the review copyprovided in exchange for an honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this second chance story, set in a small town of Lighthouse Cove, and would definitely recommnewd it to all readers who enjoy clean romance.
A terrible tragedy happened 17 years ago -something that changed Ella's life dramatically. Although both Ella and Ben moved on, got marrried and divorced, they never got a closure. Now Ella, a successful journalist and a writer of YA fantasy, returns to Lighthouse Cove and old feelings resurface. The chemistry between the protagonists was great and I really liked the ending which was absolutely heartwarming.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Ella Jacobs returns to lighthouse cove after being gone for almost two decades. She is doing a book tour. She is hesitant of seeing Ben who she loved. When they meet, the chemistry is still there. I enjoyed this book.
