THE MAN IN THE MASK is a dark, edgy gothic romance of the past. Prudence, a grad student working on her dissertation, gets the opportunity of a lifetime to study a manuscript of Ulysses S. Grant. Owned by the reclusive billionaire, Maximillian Donovan, Prudence is invited to his Gothic manor for two months to be the first to study the Grant manuscript. Prudence agrees to not leave the manor for any reason and signs a nondisclosure agreement. As Prudence sets to work she begins to catch glimpses of a man in a mask. Beginning to think she is seeing things until she surprises the masked man. Knowing the masked man to be Max, Prudence begins to see two sides of the same man and begins to fall in love with the two faces of Max.

With a twist of an ending THE MAN IN THE MASK is a dark erotic romance that will keep the reader engaged from start to finish.

If you like fast moving erotic fiction this is a good choice for you. It moved a bit too quickly for me - getting straight to the sex without the level of character and relationship building which could have made it great. I liked the gothic setting and the sense of mystery - who wants reality in this type of book, after all!

I read the first two books and got through a quarter of the third. I think it's safe to say I've read enough to have an opinion. This series is not realistic or believable, but it's filled with sex. If that's what you're looking for this should meet your needs as long as you can ignore plot holes. They’re quick reads. I don’t really have anything positive to say.

Thank you NetGalley and S & G Books, LLC for the free copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love the first two books of this trilogy. I thought it was mysterious, intriguing and sexy. I relish every pages of them. The ending of book 2 was meant to be a shocker, and yes, consider me shocked. I was geared up and revving for book 3.

But it turns out to be somewhat of a downer. Prue became a pain in the ass. She is such a piece of baggage. God, I hate to be in her head in the last book. Called me stupid but isn't Cam's identity supposed to be a big secret and Prue has sworn she wouldn't tell anyone? Then why did she mention him by his name during her conversation with her bestie (whose name I do not remember nor do I care to)? She also talked about him with the other Master in the sex club. It's like whatever I read before didn't happen.

Unique!

Prue walks into the manor and jumps feet first into a wild ride full of angst, heat, twists and emotion.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.
