A big thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a long running series, and although you can read it as a stand alone, I think it best to read them in some order. There are a lot of characters in her world and it can be very confusing. That being said this is Benny's story and he finally captures Karma. I liked this book, but didn't love it. I am confusing by some of the subplots going on so that was a distraction for me. Hope/Pax/Drake confuse the heck out of me...?? What is up with them?? I still thoroughly enjoyed the book. I am hoping that Sam is next. 4.5 stars.

Rebel's Karma is the latest installation in Rebecca Zanetti's paranormal Dark Protector series and it is an absolute joy to read. Benjamin Reese is a crazy ancient vampire who's been allowing demons to capture him for three years in his hunt for his future mate, Karma. The story begins with their reunion and it's a page-turning romantic adventure straight out of the gate. Classic Zanetti.
Benny is the epitome of hotness, a strong, sensitive gentle giant, and Karma with her core of steel, is equally brave and committed to those she claims hers. Their chemistry is perfect, and there's plenty of action and intrigue to go along with their steamy story. Plus, we get to see many of our past Dark Protector friends.
While Rebel's Karma is a standalone story of Benny and Karma's meet cute, the series has an underlying thread that progresses with each book.

In Zanetti’s thirteenth Dark Protectors book Benjamin Reese rescues a widowed Kurjan Soti. Though she is his fated mate, his loyalty to the Seven makes him determined to fight the desire to mark her his.

Zanetti is a master at bringing a touch of humor to her action packed stories. The tightness of the Seven as a family is woven throughout the story. And the return of many familiar faces gives the reader a sense of homecoming.

The romance between Benjamin and Karma follows a nice slow build. I particularly liked the way he was constantly trying to build up her confidence, self esteem, and fighting skills.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Another one of the Seven bites the dust. Benny and Karma’s story didn’t disappoint!! This book had a lot of unexpected twist and turns. I loved how proper Karma was and then at the end once she realizes she can trust Benny she opens up. I love this world and these characters!!! Great read and super steamy!!

I have been waiting to read benny's book since the first book and I can honestly say it doesn' disappoint. Karma is the perfect foil for benny's crazy she is calm and so sweet, the story line is fast paced and pulls you in you don't want to put it down. I also liked that there were other characters from other books there were a few twists in the book I didn't see coming but I totally loved it and could not put it down. Definitely worth the read.

I was thrilled to read Benny and Karma's story in Rebel's Karma by Rebecca Zanetti. I still have the image in my head from a previous book when Karma released his hand when Benny was trying to get her in a helicopter to help her escape from the Kurjans. Some time has passed since then and Benny has spent the entire time looking for her.
There are so many moments in this book that I cannot reveal and which I thoroughly enjoyed. I will say that at one point, I had to put the book down. I could not imagine where Rebecca Zanetti was taking this story. But, I did finish it and was rewarded with a storyline that was true to this series.
I loved this book and was sorry when it ended. I can't wait for the next one in this series!

Benny!!!! I have loved him since he was first introduced many books ago. I didn’t realize this author intended to give him his own story, although he’s definitely one of the most interesting and engaging characters of the series. As all heroes in this series, Benny is extremely protective of his family and friends and of the brotherhood of the Seven. But he’s even more so with Karma.

Karma has an unusual history when compared to the other women of the Seven or even the Realm. Her current situation is one that she’s lived with for centuries but after a brief encounter with Benny, years ago, the Kurjan have new plans for her and are using her children as the impetus to make her fulfill them. She’s sweet and gentle and loves romance books because of the strong heroines she finds within the pages. Watching her morph from who she has been trained to be into someone she wants to be was wonderful.

This is a fast read with a lot of action. We continue to get a few looks at Hope, Drake and Paxton and I have to admit that I’ve got definite opinions on which of the two I’m hoping she ends up with. Although, I do wonder if Ms. Zanetti isn’t deliberately playing with us. With the continued addition of the rest of the Seven as well as other favorite characters, this was such an entertaining read. So much so that I’m already clamoring for the next book!

Ahhhh!! I've been looking forward to Benny's book and devoured this within 24 hours of being approved!!!!! It did not disappoint! I thought Karma was hilarious in her thoughts, the first few chapters when she thought Emma was out to kill her had me ROLLING.

I was thinking about this series and the fact that I couldn't remember when I started reading it. I just know that it has been a while...many years. But, for some reason, it is so easy to slip right back into this world like no time has even passed. I love that about certain series. I love the fact that our old favorite couples can show up and we can get to see a sneak peak at the couples we have rooted for and fallen in love with in the past. This book is no exception. We have not only the Seven and their mates, we also get a peak into Realm Headquarters with Dage, Emma, Talen, Max and Sarah but then we get to see Bear and his mate Nessa. Fun times.

So....this story is the continuation on this story arc- the big Ritual with Ulric and the final battle with the Seven. It's finally Benny's turn. I will admit that when I read the summary, I thought, "a Kurjan mate, really?" but, I think that's what I was supposed to think. I'm not going to go into summaries but I will say that the story took off from the very beginning. I will admit to taking a little bit longer than normal to like the female MC Karma (what? I'm just being honest) but, eventually I caved.

There was very little bit of progression on the actual story arc but my greatest frustration came with Hope. That girl is extremely smart. I keep hoping she is just playing Drake and not really that clueless about his actual personality. He is a scary one. Seriously sociopath, psychopath material. And he plays her so easily. Ugh. Serious frustration there.

Other than that, it was a fun read. I did have some continuity and believability issues - but they were tiny. I mean, I'm already suspending belief with everything else, I can overlook how easy someone can keep escaping, right?

All in all, another great entry in another great series. I will say that I am ready to get to the good stuff in this arc. I think we are about there. We've got the Seven, the Lock, the person with the location and two keys...almost there.

Can't wait for whatever Ms. Zanetti has for us next. It looks like its going to be Garrett's turn.....

I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. These opinions are all mine.

Please take in mind it’s my opinion, and everyone is allowed to have one.

This book was honestly such a great book, I absolutely liked it. The story, and plot were great, it was such a well written story. Was hoping for more of the vampire stuff (LIKE CMON SHOW UR FANGS! BITE SOMEONE), even tho that didn’t happen it was still great. There was honestly enough drama/ action and romance going on.

The characters were great. I didn’t like Karma at first she was a bit confusing to me until half way through that’s when I understood her more and more. In the end I truly liked her. Benjamin was from beginning till the end such a good character, very fun and kind. I truly felt the chemistry between Karma and Benjamin, SPARKS FLEW.

The (open) happy ending left me with some questions though, so I’m hoping that there’ll be a next book.

Dark Protectors fans have waited over six years since being introduced to "crazy Uncle Benny" in the Reese brothers' trilogy (Teased, Tricked, Tangled). Now, Benjamin Reese, the eccentric, centuries old warrior and secret member of the Seven, has finally met his mate. The "R" family crest appeared on the vampire/demon hybrid's palm during a rescue mission three years prior to the start of this book, but the lovely blond Kurjan soti, named Karma, refused to be liberated and chose to remain with Benny's enemies. Benny has been pursuing Karma ever since, and don't think the Kurjans haven't taken notice ...

Rebel's Karma is definitely one of my favourites of the new (second) DP series, and it's all because of Karma. Kurjan mates are called "sotis" and play a very subservient role in the deeply misogynistic Kurjan society. Karma's Kurjan mate died soon after she was captured over two hundred years ago, but the mating allergy has shielded her from sexual abuse. However, she has had to remain obedient and unobtrusive to survive the pervasive physical abuse that the Kurjans heap on each other, male or female. When Benny, or "Benjamin" as she likes to call him, catches up with her, there is a long learning process for both of them. Benny tries to rein in his temper, his spontaneity, and his craziness to protect his prim and proper lady. Karma gradually finds her boldness, her voice, and her spunk as Benny and his friends tear away at all the lies that the Kurjans have taught Karma to believe.

Karma's emergence was truly fun and beautiful to watch. I enjoyed it so much! She and Benjamin had to come around to the realization that a shared future together was possible. While the relationship and character development form the solid core of Rebel's Karma, Rebecca Zanetti continues to deliver some of the best written action sequences that I ever read. Not to let good be good enough, she then introduces some really intriguing new characters. A Kurjan youth with a soft side (heaven help him!) and a pair of adorable twin toddlers. Add the continuing story of Hope, Pax, and Drake who are now fourteen, sixteen and sixteen, and you get a book that is a must read for all DP fans. This one has been worth the wait!

This book was good, I'm not into the whole immortal books, but Rebecca Zanetti made this one good. I think she combined her deep ops books with this series. I do recommend this book to those that are into the whole immoral thing, and probably read the rest of the series. I am grateful that Netgalley let me read this in exchange for an honest review.

A great addition to the Dark Protector. Glad to see that Benny's story has finally come to pass. Benny is a strong, protective, loyal and stubborn hybrid who has finally met his match. All her life, Karma has been sheltered and told lies regarding the realm and the seven. To protect her family, she agrees to infiltrate the enemies' headquarters, in doing so she learns the truth. about the people of the realm, the seven. and even a few things about herself.

Looking forward to the next installment of the Dark Protectors. Hoping it is Garret's story!!

When you have been following along in this series for so long, it's hard not to get excited when it's time for a side character to get his story. Benny is one of those side characters that I just couldn't wait to see how things would go. His crazy character has always had me laughing and I'm so glad to see that he stayed true to who he is in Rebel's Karma. Despite not wanting to put Karma in harms way with his life, he still showed how much he wanted her in his life. I really loved that.

Karma was an easy heroine to love. She has spent centuries with the Kurjans. It made her cautious but never took her bravery away. She always had someone to fight for given the Kurjan's steal enhanced women all the time and you can see that was what gave her purpose. She has a huge heart and I loved getting to see her protective side when it came to the twin girls she was desperate to protect. It also helps that she has a really cool ability.

I feel like we are gearing up to the end and I'm excited because I can't wait to see how this all ends but I'm also going to be very sad. I've loved this series so much that I think I could read about them forever. If you enjoy paranormal romance, this is one series you should definitely check out!

Readers of the Dark Protectors series will enjoy spending time with the Seven and their mates. Benjamin has always been a bit of a wild card. He has been obsessed with finding and rescuing Karma after he saw her several years ago. Karma is interesting because she came from a different time and has been in captivity for so long. It was wonderful to watch her grow in her strength, on her own and with Benjamin. They bring out the best in each other. The addition of her children made heartwarming interactions as Benjamin discovered a new side of himself.

A fast fun read. The leads were ok. I don't feel like we got to know anything about Karma outside of her trauma. Is she really that meek and agreeable, or is it a survival mechanism? I felt the same way about Benny. A bunch of quips, but not much substance shown. Basically without his mating mark appearing there is nothing that makes me think these two would pay any romantic attention to each other. Which is a shame, because most of the couples in this series actually have a connection which make the mark appearing make sense. This is my least favorite book because I'm not the biggest fan of couples being together because "fate said so".

What was good was the other storylines going on. In particular the Pax, Hope, Drake love triangle. They're growing up and that battle is about to come to a head. Hope being so naive is annoying, and Drake seeming to turn to the dark side is a little to predictable, But I hope the big battle happens soon so we can finally see them grown up.

A few developments were made with the Kurjans, and two new characters were introduced that could be important to the story. So this isn't a book I would skip. I can't wait for the next installment.

Oh, how I love this series. Rebecca is the queen of sexy paranormal romance in my opinion. She knows how to write a sexy alpha Male that is obsessed with his woman and will do anything to win her over. Karma and Benjamin had some intense chemistry and I also love learning more about this world Rebecca has created. Dark Protectors is one of my favorite series and I hope we get more.

This is another great book from the Dark Protectors series.

Karma is a character who has lead a difficult life. This is why she distrusts everything that Benjamin "Benny" Reese represents at first. He is supposed to be the enemy after all. However, it's not that simple and she finds it impossible to resist her temptation towards him.

Benny has been waiting for three years to rescue Karma. He knows that giving into their attraction towards each other is inevitable. So, he won't let her deny their connection and get way from him that easily. They are, of course, fated to be together.

Karma and Benny's journey is not an easy one. It is filled with twists and turns, resembling a rollercoaster ride. Rebecca Zanetti has crafted a compelling story of two people who find each other in a ruthless, paranormal world. Overall, this is an amazing book. I loved it and I highly recommend it.

This story will absolutely make you love Karma and Benny! Karma is such a smart and strong woman who will do anything to save her sweet twin girls. With the help of her gift and the Seven she is able to get the family and life she has longed for. Benny is such a goofy guy when it comes to his girls and I love seeing him finally fall for a wonderful woman! They are so cute together and they have a lot they have to work through before they can be mates. I can’t wait for the next book in this series! I received an ARC for my honest review.

Karma has been alive for centuries and was once mated to a Kurjan, who died shortly after they were mated. Now she lives in the Kurjan stronghold and tries to be invisible. Karma is an enhanced female and she sees dead people. She helps them get to the other side. Benny is one of the Seven, he’s a vampire/demon hybrid and is very loyal. He meets Karma three years ago and the mating mark showed up on his hand. Now he gets captured by the Kurjans to get to Karma. What he doesn’t know, is that Karma is hiding a big secret and it could destroy them all.

Great story with action and sex. Benny is funny and protective. Karma is very loyal and beautiful. This was a hard review to write because I didn’t want to give anything away. Benny believes he can just find Karma someplace to live and get on with his life...boy is he in for a surprise.
