A month ago I hadn't read a single story in the Bromance Book Club series and now here I am a few weeks later now up to date after a series binge! I really enjoyed reading each one of these books so far and I hope the author continues to tell the story of each of the men in the book club! Isn't It Bromantic centers around Vlad and his wife Elena, who he married as a young adult back in Russia. Vlad joined the Bromance Book Club to hopefully learn tips on how to love his wife right, but she has chosen to live in a different city once they moved to the United States. But when Vlad gets injured in his hockey game, this is just the first step on reuniting these two characters and sparking a real romance.

This story continued to bring the fun spirited and loving vibe that I picked up on with all the other stories in this "book universe." I love how easy going the writing style is that is easy to devour in one sitting. And I always love when stories are interconnected and you read cameos from other characters who had bigger roles in a previous book. Overall I think Book #3 (Crazy, Stupid, Romance) is my favorite, but Isn't It Bromantic was an absolute delight. If you're on the fence of diving into this series, I say go for it! The Bromance series is cute, fun, and in desperate need of being turned into a tv series of some sort!

3.5-4 stars

Isn't It Bromantic? features one of my favorite romance tropes - childhood best friends to lovers. There's just something so sweet and tender about that connection and history. Marriage of convenience-ish, second chance, slooooow burn romance, and forced proximity also get thrown into the mix in this contemporary romcom. This is the 4th book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. It would be most enjoyed in order however, since previous characters do appear.

I am a huge cinnamon roll lover and Vlad hit the spot. He was such a sweet character and I really loved how caring and steadfast he was. I wanted so badly to root for him and Elena to find their happily ever after, but they both did plenty of things along the way to irk me. The lack of communication between them was very frustrating and so much pain and heartache could have been avoided it they just had an honest conversation with each other. I understand that they were quite young and inexperienced when they decided to get married, but they really should have been able to have a mature conversation at this point. Both were so quick to run away when any issue arose and my patience ran thin waiting for them to just tell each other the truth. I also wasn't a fan of the drama at the end, especially given the amount of build up and mystery surrounding Elena's father. It all wrapped up a little too conveniently and quickly and made the ending feel very rushed.

The highlights of the book were the hilarious and fun secondary characters (Cheese Man!) and all the descriptions of Russian food. I really wish there had been some recipes at the end since food played such a huge part of the story and history between these characters. I also loved the story within a story aspect and how it mirrored and helped move the characters along. Overall this was an entertaining romance, but I didn't love it as much as I hoped.

CW: human trafficking, attempted kidnapping/murder, car accident, discussion and mentions of death of/missing parent and previous parental neglect.

*I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book *

I've been a fan of the Bromance Book Club series right from the start, and I've definitely enjoyed the romance aspect, but my true favourite part of this series lies in the friendships and the bros book club. I absolutely LOVE seeing the boys discuss things, support each other, and just straight up learn to be better people! Add in the romance, and I'm one happy reader! Well under way now, I find myself loving this series more and more, and I absolutely loved ISN'T IT BROMANTIC?

I have to admit that poor Vlad wasn't the ideal romantic hero in my head based on the impressions I had of him from the previous books, but he's actually become one of my absolute favourite characters in this series as we’ve gotten to see more and more of him. He’s such a sweet, romantic soul and he really shined here! I loved getting to know him and Elena better, and I absolutely adored their story! Unsurprisingly, I also loved all of the bromance book club moments—the bros and their friendships truly get better with every book and they’re all so close and so supportive of each other now—I love it so much! I also loved that we got to see Elena gain some strong friendships in this one too!

Overall, I’ve been loving this series so far, and this is definitely my favourite out of them all! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a series with close-knit, supportive friendships where the male characters push for feminism and resist toxic masculinity. I, for one, find all of the moments with the bros to be an absolute delight!

Elena has lived her entire adult life in the shadows. She married her childhood friend, Vlad, and moved to the United States, where he is a professional hockey player in Nashville. Vlad, aka the Russian, thought he could be content with his marriage of convenience. But it’s become too difficult to continue in a one-sided relationship. He joined the Bromance Book Club to learn how to make his wife love him, but all he’s learned is that he deserves more. He’s ready to create his own sweeping romance—both on and off the page. The bros are unwilling to let Vlad forgo true love—and this time they’re not operating solo. They join forces with Vlad’s neighbors, a group of meddling widows who call themselves the Loners. But just when things finally look promising, Elena’s past life intrudes and their happily ever after is cast into doubt. review: If you haven’t read the Bromance Book Club series, you are missing out! This is the fourth book in the series and every single one has been such a joy to read! The premise of a book club for guys who read romance novels is just too good & each of the characters have such a great developed storyline. In the other books, Vlad was such a mystery, so I’m really glad that he got his own book. I really loved seeing how Elena and Vlad warmed up to each other over time and the friends to lovers trope was so well done in this book. I am quite sad that this series is over (or is it?!) and I’m going to miss these guys. If you’re looking for a series that has witty banter, loving characters that will make you laugh out loud & just downright good stories, grab this series ASAP! rating: 4 out of 5 ⭐️

Another great Bromance story and this one finally lets us in on Vlad, the Russian’s marriage. We get to see him struggle as he finally opens up to his wife Elena, and of course his book club bros help him out. Looking forward to more stories about the book club bros.

So sweet. This is Vlad's story, and I couldn't wait for him to get his happy ending! It was a joy to read about such a tender and vulnerable leading man. "Isn't It Bromantic?" has elements of friends to lovers, marriage of convenience, and unrequited love. Some of the book club elements were a little too obvious for my preference, but I continue to appreciate the discussion of toxic masculinity between the men of the book club.

"Isn't It Bromantic?" is the fourth title in Lyssa Kay Adams' Bromance Book Club series and could be read as a standalone, but I think it would be better enjoyed as part of the series. The friendships between the characters of the book club are such a strong foundation of the plot. I hope we will have more to read from the Bromance Book Club!

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for the eARC.

I just didn’t click with this one. I adore this series but the Russians story fell a bit flat, I found the cheese fetish thing a bit over the top although it made me laugh because it was just utterly ridiculous. I didn’t feel an authentic connection between the two MCs which made it hard to root for them. Not a bad book at all I just didn’t love it compared to the other books in the series

So I usually find that as series go on, the books are less engaging but not so with Lyssa's Bromance series! I actually the books to get better and better with book one being the weak link to the series.

Isn't it Bromantic is the story we've all been waiting for... The Russian! Our loveable Vlad has his tummy issues in check but his romantic life is in the dumps. Elena, his wife, is ready for divorce and to move back home. Of course she doesn't realize that he truly loves her despite their marriage of convenience.

I snort laughed so many times... the guys, the neighborhood ladies, the cheese! If you're into romcoms, definitely give this series a whirl although I do recommend you read a couple of the previous books so you get to know Vlad better. The storyline moves well, there's some danger involved, lots of laughs and a super sweet but sexy romance. Highly recommend!

I've been eagerly anticipating Vlad's book and I definitely wasn't disappointed! I am coming to realize how much I love romances where the hero and heroine have an already established connection and relationship. And seeing Vlad and Elena finally get on the same page and admit their feelings was so lovely and sweet to read.

I also really love the 'book in a book' aspect of this series and this one was definitely something special. I'd honestly read Tony and Anna's story if I could.

My only qualm with this book was the mystery element that was added I don't think really added much to the story. And how that all played out was so obvious that I don't really think it needed to be included.

Other than that, I loved this, And if she keeps writing books about this book club, I'll keep reading them! I think this was my favorite installment thus far.

My heart is so full! I have loved this series from the very beginning, and when I found out we’d be getting Vlad’s (aka The Russian) story I was left reeling and giddy with anticipation! And I enjoyed this as much as I hoped I would.

Vlad’s character has been treated as a punchline for much of the series up to this point. He’s an enigma amongst the other characters because even they don’t know much about him. I am so glad we got this story and were able to see how endearing his character is.

I definitely expected this to be more rivals to lovers after the end of the last book, so color me surprised when I realized this is more of a childhood friends romance! I just loved the chemistry, humor, and history between Vlad and Elena. And of course it was highly satisfying to see the rest of the book club help Vlad get the girl. Definitely recommend and I am excited to see what’s next from Lyssa!

The Russian is my favorite character in this series and to see he has his own book about live had me literary swooning! I did enjoy reading some of the back story of his wife and how his Bromance Book Club helped him along the way. Thank you for my advanced reader copy.

3.5 stars = Good +

A fun and funny addition to this great series. I didn't click with this couple like I have with some of the others in previous books. I did love Vlad and the animals. Tons of communication issues in the story which could be tiresome at times. I would have liked to see the journalism pieces built a bit stronger throughout the book so the ending felt earned.

Series fans will not want to miss this one - I especially liked how the Bromance Book Club's reading went in this book. Newcomers can probably start here without a lot of difficulty, but I think the story is stronger if you have the full context. (Language, sex)

The Russian has been my favorite character since the first book in this series and I was SO excited when I found out he was getting his own book!

I thought this was a good book and had some great character development and we finally got to learn more about The Russian.

I tend to like the “book within a book” premise that is in every book, but this one seemed a bit..lackluster.

Overall, it was a good book that was enjoyable, kept me engaged and showed the Bromance bookclub fellas!

And remember, we always run for the grand gesture!

I don’t necessarily know if I was waiting for the Russian’s book, but man, what an emotional note to go out on (if this is in fact the last of the Bromance Book Club series). Vlad and Elena’s romance was sweet and fumbling but also angsty and full of so much longing; they’ve been married for SIX YEARS but only ever kissed on their wedding day. When Vlad gets hurt playing hockey and Elena decides to take care of him herself, it finally gives them the inroad they need to talk about their relationship and the fact that they want this fake marriage to be real. (Bonus points for making Vlad a virgin hero!) The scenes with the Cheese Man had me rolling. I did think the subplot with Elena’s father was good up until the last-act twist for drama, which felt a little too accelerated and out of step with the mood of the rest of the book.

content notes: sports injury, physical therapy scenes, references to past family member disappearing/presumably being murdered, heroine is kidnapped

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was eager to read Vlad's story as I have been on the fence with this series and really hoped his character could make or break my feelings. Lucky for me, the book was everything I needed it to be. Vlad and Elana are by far the most romantic of all the characters, both of which I found to be relatable and I was rooting for their story and HEA.

I've read all three and I liked this one better than the last. The only complaint I have is the quick tie-in to her journalism/espionage link and the too-fast resolution. It seemed thrown in to tie up a loose end. The group of guys was great, showing support and empathy without overstepping boundaries.

When this book was announced I was so excited!! I have been wanting a book from “the Russian” since we got Mack’s book. And when I finally got it, I wasn’t thrilled, but I wasn’t upset about it either. It was just something about this one that I didn’t 100% care for.

Vlad is one of the sweetest souls in the Bromance Book Club. So much so, he’s gone from just reading the manuals to now trying his hands at writing his own. All the while trying to save his marriage with the elusive Elena, his wife. But this time the Bromance Book Club can’t do this one on their own. They get the help of Vlad’s neighbors to help bring the two of them together. But of course, things can’t be easy. Elena’s past resurfaces and the grand gesture is much bigger than it has been before.

The best part about this was obviously Vlad. As soon as I learned we were getting a Mack book, I wanted the next one to be the Russian’s. So finally getting this one made me happy. It was a bit different because he wasn’t the same Russian as the previous books, like the running to the bathroom, eating things he shouldn’t, etc. I know that sounds terrible, but I still wanted those things lol Now he seemed to be just a regular hockey player. But then there was Elena. She was….. not my favorite. I didn’t care for her. This is probably the reason why I didn’t like this as much as the others. I think it felt too much like an enemies to lovers for me, and if you know me, you know I am not a fan of that troupe.

As for the book that was involved this time, I loved it! This was definitely different than the others since Vlad was the one who wrote the manual this time. And he was the right one to do it. Anyone else writing a story wouldn’t have been right. He’s the only one who’s sensitive enough to write a book like this. (Well, I think Malcolm could write one, but it would be hella deep and not as sweet lol) This one didn’t get the “instructions” from this manual, but it was still a large part of the story and I was ok with that.

Lastly, this wouldn’t be a Bromance Book Club book without all the troupes in it. And trust me, there’s some of everything. Like this is the first time I’ve read a book that had friends to lovers and enemies to lovers at the same time lol But really, there was some of everything in this book. I wanna say this is the one with the most? But whatever, it worked and I still really enjoyed reading this story.

Again, this one isn’t my favorite, but it was definitely a cute one. Now that we’ve got a book for Mack and Vlad, I really hope there’s a Malcolm book out there somewhere. (I feel like it would be hella hot because Malcolm is really in tune with what his wife wants/needs.) So until then, I’m just going to be happy with what we do have

This book was everything I wanted and more! I have been waiting to learn about the Russian and his wife since the first time I read the Bromance Book Club. I am obsessed with the Bros and wish I had a group of guys who loved me as much as the Bros love their wives. I also love how close they are with each other. I am so happy to finally learn Vlad's story and I cannot wait to read Colton's books and to see what the Bros get into!

I'm sad to say but this book never hit the mark for me.
I had big expectations, but the book started to fizzle early on and I lost interest midway through. Sadly I didn't connect with either Vlad or Elena, the plot failed to pull me in and the romance actually felt like an afterthought to everything else.
It's disappointing but the charm of the bromance book club has officially dried up and I don't think I will continue reading this series.
