This book was fantastic from beginning to end. I could not put it down. It captured me and kept me reading until the end. It moves along at a really nice pace making for a very easy and entertaining read. The characters are amazing and you will fall in love with them and you feel as though you are there with them. This book has to be read, there is no doubt about it.

This is three stories in one book.

Love Over Easy by Kate Angell

Love Rising by Stacy Finz

Romance on Tap by Marina Adair.

Each story takes place in Moonlight, Maine and revolves around the local café where the best pies are served, is the hot bed of gossip for the town and where the town females believe in the legend of seeing the love of your life in a mirror on Halloween.

In Love over Easy Hannah, is substituting in the annual Halloween Parade for her sister and helping by taking her triplet nephews to be in the parade. When who should come back to town sexy and hot, Jake the bad boy, and the pull of the magic that is Halloween and the legend starts the gossips tongues a wagging. Will the legend come true for Hannah and she finds true love or will Jake leave as fast as he rode into town on his motor bike? 3.5 Stars

Love Rising has Sydney who took a temporary job baking for the Café and in her spare time is getting the house left to her after her grandmother passes away and get it ready for sales, so she can get back to her business in San Fransico, but she does not count on having sexy Nick working on a project her grandmother had him start before her death. Sydny is not happy, but she hires him to do the renovations for the house... But what she really needs to work on his stopping this attraction to Nick and get back on track with her plans to leave the minute the house is sold. But that Moonlight town legend keeps getting in the way. Can Sydney find the recipe for love and happy ever after with Nick. 4 Stars

Romance on Tap has Mila coming back to town to help her parents make the translon to their new retirement home and she wants to go back seven years to a kiss in a closet with the guy she liked in High School.... but was it the man of her dreams Ford or was it his twin sexy and wild brother Hudson? When she gets her chance to relive history, did she get the right twin, or did the man she kisses this time was always the right guy. 3 Stars

These were all good short stories and I enjoyed them, although I will admit that Romance on Tap, had me starting and stopping when reading this book, took me a few days to read this one. I loved the characters of the town and how everyone was in these three couples business of finding their true loves and happy ever after.

Thank you to Kensington and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and give my honest review for this book.

This is a delightful set of three novellas all set in the small romantic town of Moonbright, Maine. Three couples, three different issues in their relationships and three (let's face it, you already know) happy endings. All of the stories have a Halloween theme of sorts. Hannah, Sydney, and Mila- you will root for each of them to recognize their true love. It's all a bit trope-y but it's also perfect as a book to keep by your side for when you want a short and sweet tale. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I sometimes take chance with anthology because it's a way to introduce myself to new authors. I have read two of these authors in this one, except for the last one. So here goes...

Love Over Easy by Kate Angell: 4 stars

"Bo Peep, you're losing your sheep"

That first line totally did me in 😄. This is a cute story.

Jake Kaylor returns to Moonbright, Maine, right on the time of their annual Hallloween parade, and see Hannah Allan in her Bo Peep costume while she is "herding" her nephews (who act as her "sheeps"). They end up walking the parade together and of course be the source of new gossip in town. Jake and Hannah feels the pull towards one another as they are talking about likes, dislikes, favorites, and life.

I LOVED these conversations so much. Because they are learning about each other and they connect, even if they are opposites. My only complaint is that the timeline is VERY quick. I don't mind the "love legend" but I still prefer it to happen more than mere days.

Love Rising by Stacy Finz: 3 stars

When her grandmother died, Sydney can't wait to sell her grandmother's house and move back to San Francisco. A successful professional baker, on a brink to opening her second store, Sydney never really consider Moonbright her home. She aims the bustling live of the city. Unfortunately, she realizes that her grandmother is making plan without telling her. A plan that involves installing a new kitchen to the house AND a blast from the past. Her old crush, Nick Rossi, who is currently owning Rossi Construction.

It's a teenage "enemies" to adult lovers sort of story. Apparently back in their junior year, Nick has done Sydney wrong. Sydney still has a grudge but I guess attraction speaks stronger *laugh*. I liked it enough. Sydney is a bit too dismissive at first - but then Nick hurt her back in junior year. Plus she isn't exactly imagining to stay in Moonbright after her grandmother passed, so having feeling to Nick is a bit of a dilemma.

Romance on a Tap: 2.5 stars

This is the shortest of the bunch and it has one of my least favorite plots in a romance. Going to be spoiler-y here... I'm always a bit frustrated when the female MC decides to drop an opportunity of a good job out of town, to stay for a man, especially if the story happens in SHORT TIMESPAN! And this is what happened in this novella. I don't care if it sounds romantic, I just find it stupid.

The Cafe between Pumpkin & Pie

This book was the equivalent of carving pumpkins, sipping a chai pumpkin latte and taking a fall walk on a crisp night with your love. If you need help getting in the mood for fall, look no further. I'm still waiting for my invitation to Moonbright, Maine, because it just sounds like the cutest little town ever! This book has three steamy love stories all taking place in the most exciting time of year, Halloween. All three romances have something in common, they all start in the town of Moonbright where the legend is every Moonbright single woman can see the man she will marry in a reflection on Halloween. Some residents believe, some don't, and some have experienced the magic for themselves. Certain residents may find out their true love isn't so far away after all.

This story strikes a good mix of romance and whimsy while adding in plenty of Autumn and Halloween touches.

This is a fun visit to Moonbright, Maine, the home of Halloween legends that predict true love. Three couples, three chances to find true love, three adventures as they navigate the trials and tribulations of that journey. All three are fun, easy-to-read stories based around Halloween. Great feel-good entertainment

Cute book of three connected stories that take place around Halloween: Each of the stories take place in the same town.

4. 5 stars overall

All three of these stories were charming and engaging, with just the right amount of seasonal cheer and small town aura – including parades and celebrations, nosy townsfolk, and elderly relatives. I loved that the three tales interconnected more than the average anthology stories do, with characters appearing in ‘guest’ spots in the other stories. The overlay of the Halloween chant lends a small but adorable mystical air while, predictably, muddying the waters for our heroines.

Love Over Easy – good girl meets bad boy, who happens to be her sister’s ex. This was my least favorite of the three, as I found the sentence structure choppy and distracting, and I really could not comprehend Hannah’s sister’s rivalry with her. Still, the triplets were adorable and I loved Jake’s quiet protectiveness toward Hannah, the boys, and his grandfather.

Love Rising – Sydney is “home” to sell her beloved grandmother’s house, settle the estate, and hustle back to her real life in California. Nick, her sometime nemesis, has been there, done that, and happy to be back to make a life for himself in Moonbright. Even if Syd can forgive Nick his past transgressions, there’s no way this could work, right? A few misunderstandings cleared up, a meddling Gram, and two people who need to learn how to bend without breaking, and we might just get a HEA. I loved that Stacy included two of her characters from the Nugget book series, that was a perfect Easter egg as far as I was concerned. Great pacing, character development, and plotting made this a really wonderful entry.

Romance on Tap – I’m a big fan of this trope, and the fact that Mila is of Vietnamese heritage added depth to the story. From Mila’s supportive girlfriends to Ford and Hudson’s relationship, the setting and character development were great. I wouldn’t have minded if it were a touch longer, but it worked very nicely as a short story.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Kensington Books and the authors for an e arc copy of this book.
Moonbright is a lovely town and the characters as fun to get to know. There is a tradition for the ladies of the town that if you say special words on Halloween before midnight, your future husband will be revealed to you in a reflective surface.
In this book we meet 3 different women, who do say the words and this is their stories. I really enjoyed all the characters and their stories. The town and its people all play a part. The town sounded lovely and their Halloween celebrations sound fun. I don’t want to say much about each story as it may spoil the stories for other readers. They are all lovely romances that made me smile.
I will definitely read more books by these authors and hope to head back to Moonbright again. Would recommend this book.

I first became aware of this book due to a Goodreads giveaway. I didn't win so I was super excited to learn it was being offered on NetGalley. I've been feeling Fall vibes lately so I was super in the mood to read this. I wasn't disappointed. This book contains three stories. In all three, the main plot is driven by the town's local legend: before midnight, if you say the chant and look in a mirror or other reflective surface you will see your soulmate. I really enjoyed Love Over Easy, the first story. My only complaint is that they kept saying "I've" instead of "I have" for everything. For instance, "I've something to tell you." Nobody talks like that. At least not where I'm from. Maybe it's a Maine thing? Speaking of which, I love the setting of Moonbright, Maine. Not a real place, but the authors make it come alive. I wish I could visit. I also really enjoyed Love Rising, featuring Sydney and Nick. Their chemistry was palpable. I love how their love story fleshed out. My favorite of the three was Romance on Tap, featuring Mila and Hudson. Just when she thinks she's in love with one twin, another one comes along and sweeps her off her feet. A fun anthology. I hope there will be more in the series. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A great way to get in the Halloween Spirit, three novellas all centered around Halloween in Moonbright, Maine, and its traditions. We follow three couples and their journeys.

Love Over Easy:
Hannah and Jake, she is relying on the town legend to find her true love. Jake is not looking for love but is intrigued by Hannah.

Love Rising:
Sydney and Nick, will they get a second chance when she returns home?

Romance on Tap:
Mila has had a crush on Ford for years, but her supposed curse on relationships caused by a kiss has her frustrated. Time to break the curse.

All in all, quick, fun reads to get into the spirit of the holiday. Moonbright is a charming town when fall is in the air.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books; this is my voluntary review.

This is a fun story to read in the fall. Three great authors collaborate on a theme revolving around an old legend that has women chanting a chant before midnight on Halloween in order to possibly catch a glimpse of their true loves in a reflection.

Having read books by Adair and Finz before, I could definitely pick out which story was written by each of them based on the voice of the story and description of the characters.

I am grateful to have been given an opportunity to read an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

One book and three stories with a twist. At Halloween, we meet unlikely couples who fall in love in the small

town of Moonbright. The tales are linked through the central themes of folklore legend, The Corner Cafe, and the

influential behaviour of grandmothers!!

I really enjoyed these tales of love conquering all. Warm and realistic. A perfect Autumn ead..

I loved this book. It really put me in the holiday/Fall mood!

I fell in love with the good citizens of Moonbright during the last book, so when I heard there was a new one coming, I knew I had to read it. I wasn't disappointed. Set during a single Halloween season in the town that loves all things Halloween, it tells the stories of three women, an old wives tale (or is it) about seeing your true love's face on Halloween night, and three hunky, hard working men with dirt under their nails who are just a little bit bad, but oh so good.
Not only are the stories as sweet as the pies from Nan's cafe (a prominent feature in all three stories), they're written by three top romance writers so, if you're not already familiar with Marina Adair, Kate Angell and Stacy Finz, this charming anthology will give you a chance to discover new writers who are likely to end up on your go-to list.
Whether you love romance, or are just looking for some enjoyable reading that won't scare you half to death this Halloween, this one's a must read.

All these stories involve a fictional small town in Maine with three romances revolving around couples who knew each other way back when, but either the guy or gal has left the town for bigger horizons and now is back for a short period of time. And, of course, they fall into insta-lust/love so the rest of the story is how they can figure out how the one who left can stay in the small town with the partner they’ve found and decided to love over a very short time.

Add in a bit of mysticism about the young lady chanting something on Halloween and then seeing her future love in some shiny surface. Of course, that works out and determines whom they will love because Halloween charms work that way, don’t they?

The best story was the one by Kate Angell - maybe because that one included a cute opening when the young lady is dressed as Little Bo Peep as she shepherds her triplet four-year-old nephews dressed as sheep through the Halloween festivities in town. Motorcycle-repairman, Jake steps in to help her with the adorable boys and wouldn’t you know it - after a couple of days, they’re in love. The cute boys and secondary characters make the story, rather less than the protagonists.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Halloween in Moonbright, Maine, is a big thing with parades, decorations and local legends. For Hannah, Sydney and Mila it could mean meeting the men of their dreams if only they'll let themselves believe.

There are three stories in this book linked by the Corner Café of the title and are similar in nature but different enough to be entertaining throughout. There is added spice which isn't limited to the cafe menu that may put off those who prefer a more wholesome or innocent read.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the opinions expressed are my own. I enjoyed these stories and the recipes at the end of the book. It is an atmospheric but never scary Halloween read.
