The Amish Cowboy's Homecoming is Ophelia London's second book in the Honey Brook series and the second book by her that I have read. I think she will one of my favorites! The book had me laughing out loud in places and crying in others. The Amish cowboy is Isaac King, a horse trainer who is widowed with a small child, Sadie. Grace Zook is also a horse trainer, though it is unusual in her Amish community for a woman to be allowed to continue in that profession. Her father owns their training company and when he hires Isaac to help with training a new horse that has the potential to increase their business, sparks fly between him and Grace. They are both very good at training horses and their is a healthy amount of competition there, but, even more, there is an attraction that pulls them together. However, she is the boss's daughter. And he has a daughter to think about. Can they work together to not only help the horse but also help each other? Great book. I loved the characters. I hope there is another Honey Brook book soon so that I can read more about them! Thanks to #NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review the book. #all_the_pages #bookstagram #honeybrook #amishcowboy

Just finished this delightful and fun read!
Don't know why I waited so long to read this novel!
Once I started it I devoured it! My whole afternoon passed pleasantly with Grace and Issac and yes even John and Eve.
I love Amish novels and this one was no exception.
I've read this author before and she's quite good!
For this book it was the title and cover that caught my attention.
However; I would say the story doesn't quite match the title.
The story gives a different perspective.
I finally understood why Grace on the cover felt like she was flying with happiness. That part fit perfectly. The title did notin my opinion. It's why I gave the book 4 stars.
I still liked the story for what it was.
Grace is definitely an interesting character. Her job title is quite different than most girls/women.
But I still admired her nontheless.
Issac was ok.
I wasn't sure what Grace's father intended at first but as we read on we'll see why.
He really has her best interests at heart but not according to her. I guess every child feels that at one time or another. I know I did.
I think my favorite thing about the whole book was the horses. I'm a horse lover at heart and I love going horseback riding any chance I get.
The writing in this story was well done and the characters realistic.
This book was just too good to put down. I felt like I was a part of this book and to me, it was the same but yet not the same.
The romance was just a tad overdone but still enjoyable.
I love a good book like this that will pas the time away and sweep you into another world like this one does.
My thanks for a copy of the book. All opinions are my own.

My Review:
I loved the character of Grace in this book. She’s determined, strong-minded, and spunky—but she also deeply loves her family and friends. She’s determined to take over her father’s business as a horse trainer, a job that’s unusual for an Amish woman. But her dad is reluctant to turn the business over to Grace, and hires Isaac King to help Grace train a high-spirited horse. Isaac is looking for a permanent home for both he and his daughter and he hopes the community of Honey Brook will be that place. However, Grace and Isaac have different views on horse training and they have to find a way to work together on this crucial project. It’s not long until the both begin to wonder about a future together, and finding a way to achieve both their dreams and still carry on Amish traditions.

This is a clean, sweet story that was enjoyable to read. Although I knew that the book very likely had a happy ending, it was fun following Grace and Isaac as their relationship grew from friendship into love. I recommend this one for those who like clean Amish fiction.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This was a delightful story by Ophelia London. It is the second book in the Honey Brook series but it can be read as a stand alone. Grace Zook has an unconventional job- a horse trainer. Her father hires widow Isaac King to train the new stallion they get. Grace feels pushed aside, but eventually learns to work with Isaac. This is a great story about new beginnings and I like how the female character had a nontraditional job. This is a great, clean book! I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher, Entangled via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

The Amish Cowboy’s Homecoming by Ophelia London is the 2nd book in The Honey Brook Series. It can be read as a standalone if you have not had a chance to peruse Never An Amish Bride. I like that we get to see how Lucas Brenneman and Esther are doing since the end of Never an Amish Bride. It is great that we get to see Lucas offering guidance to Isaac. I thought The Amish Cowboy’s Homecoming was well-written with good characters and a beautiful setting. I like that Grace Zook is a strong female character who is bucking Amish tradition. Grace prefers working with horses that cooking, cleaning, and tending to children. Grace does, though, yearn for a man who will love her for herself (just as she is). Isaac King is a kind man who is a widower with a young daughter. He wants what is best for his child which is admiral. I like his attitude towards animals. Family, friendship, horses, faith, and community is at the center of the story. There is also romance and vandalism. Fires and thefts have been taking place in the community. They have yet to catch the people responsible. I did find the story to be a little long. It could have done with some editing which would have also helped the pacing (slow in some places). I also wish there had been more humor. It would have enhanced this charming Amish tale. I enjoyed reading The Amish Cowboy’s Homecoming which is a heartwarming story about a strong-willed Amish woman with a special talent and an Amish man who has a way with horses looking for a permanent home for himself and his daughter.

This is a new to me author and I must say I really enjoyed the book. It was a different storyline from any other Amish book I have read, but it was intriguing just the same. The characters and how they reacted with each other kept the storyline moving. I will definitely go find book one in the series now.

I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my review and honest opinion.

Grace Zook has been training horses with her father for years and is an expert in her own right, but her father wants to retire and is reluctant to leave the business with her and he also needs to get the endorsement of a breeder who is bringing them a thoroughbred to train. He hires a horse training expert from another town to come and help train the horse. Isaac King, known as the Amish Cowboy, wants to relocate with his small daughter and earn money to buy his own home so he doesn't have to live with his deceased wife's family any longer. He arrives with his daughter and a desire to do a good job for them, but Grace is upset by not being allowed to do this on her own so there is an immediate fly in the ointment.

I really enjoyed this rather unconventional Amish romance. It was fun to read.

I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

The Amish Cowboy's Homecoming is the second book in the Honey Brook series. It can definitely be read as a stand alone. I had a really nice time reading this book. The story involves Isaac who has come to Grace's horse training farm to train a wild horse for a wealthy owner. Grace resents Isaac coming in to her family business, but knows she must work with Isaac to help out her family..

This was a sweet slow burn romance. I loved watching Grace and Isaac become friends and fall in love. I also loved the juxtaposition with their growing to trust each other and the both if them earning the trust of the horse, Cincinnati. The story also has wonderful secondary characters. As irritating as she was, I had a lot of sympathy for Sarah. I was rooting for her and Amos. I highly recommend this one!

Not sure why I put off reading this one, but it was a wonderful light reading storyline. Relaxing, enjoying, and made me feel there is love, hope, and promise in the world. No cussing, evil or negativity just a wholesome book. Recommend if you just want to relax, slow down, and feel good about life again.

Ophelia London has outdone herself in The Amish Cowboy’s Homecoming. I couldn't put this book down once I started.

We meet Grace, a non-traditional Amish woman who is a horse trainer on her family’s horse farm , and Isaac, a widower coming to Grace’s farm to take the lead trainer position on a very stubborn horse. I loved that Grace is allowed to be herself by her family and the community. Many times you see characters in a traditional role, but I loved how she was a strong-willed, talanted woman allowed to follow her passions.

Wonderful story and characters. I received a copy from Netgalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

My heart was breaking so much for Grace and all she was going through. I wanted to give her a great big hug and at the same time, shake her a little and make her see what was waiting for her if she would just open up her eyes and heart. I get that Grace is resentful of Isaac and wants to train the horses on her own, but will she really go against her father’s wishes? THE AMISH COWBOY’S HOMECOMING is the second book in the Honey Brook series. That being said, it can easily be read as a stand alone.

I appreciate the clean and wholesome family life that Amish books have. Grace ‘s family is very supportive, which is not always the case in Amish stories. I mean, who has ever heard of an Amish woman training horses? The ties to the past that help shape the future is just the right touch. THE AMISH COWBOY’S HOMECOMING is a quick and entertaining read, and you really won’t know until the end what happens.

All Isaac wants to do is put down roots somewhere and raise his daughter the way she deserves. Grace is not very receptive to Isaac at first but over time, their feelings for each other grow. The ending was well worth the wait and as a result I cannot wait for the rest of the Honey Brook novels because I don’t want to give these characters up.

The twists and turns in Grace and Isaac’s lives pop up when you least expect them. Ophelia pulls you right in and makes you feel as if you are right there experiencing all the heart wrenching feelings her characters are. When I hear Ophelia London has a new book coming out, I will be running to it. She has quickly become one of my favorite Amish authors, and I will devour her stories very quickly. I love how her THE AMISH COWBOY’S HOMECOMING allowed me to escape my reality and puts me right in the middle of Amish country.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from TLC and Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Isaac King took the nickname of the "Amish Cowboy". A horse whisper of sorts that prefers wearing a cowboy hat and riding his horse instead of driving a buggy. He has come to Honey Brook with his daughter Sadie for a job working at a horse farm. It is an opportunity of a life time for being a single father and starting new in a different Amish community. The Zook Farm is owned by John Zook and his daughter Grace who has her own special way of working the horses.

When Isaac King arrives, he is greeted by Grace training her horses. There are sparks not of attraction but of something else. Something to prove. Both Isaac and Grace have preconceived ideals and their ideals are crushed once they start working together. They learn from each other about trust and communication. How bad it can go and what a blessing it can be when done right. Grace takes what she learns and applies it to her family that has been dealing with communication problems. Learning to build trust and opening our eyes to other possibilities

Isaac and Grace do develop some sparks that lead to something more than what they bargained for. I really liked their story and the simplicity of their faith.

A special thank you to Entangled Publishing, LLC and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

This was a very enjoyable story, with a refreshing cast of characters. I really liked Grace and Isaac and the way they started off a bit at odds with each other since they were both wanting the lead role in training a difficult horse.

The growing friendship and romance between Isaac and Grace was very natural. It was built on respect that grew between them as they worked together. It was great to see how they were naturally drawn to each other as time passed. There were eventually some things that began to threaten their potential future together, which they had to work through in order to find love together, but those things would also strengthen their relationship.

The Amish Cowboy’s Homecoming is book two in the Honey Brook series but can easily be read as a stand alone novel.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

"The Amish Cowboy's Homecoming" focuses on two horse trainers who work together to train a magnificent yet undisciplined horse. Their work forms a bond between them, but also can drive a wedge between them. Grace and Isaac each stand to gain from successfully training "Cincinnati," but a lot is riding on the final outcome. For Grace, the funds would be used to obtain much-needed surgery for her mom. For Isaac, the funds would ensure a secure future and home for his little daughter. Who will emerge the victor?

Readers who enjoy a sweet romance, without descriptive adult situations, violence, or strong language, will find this novel interesting and intriguing. Themes include gender stereotypes, loss of a spouse, unrealized dreams, and family complications. Each character is described in detail, and readers will feel as if they have come to know them well as family members. Readers will also learn a lot about horse training!

I received this novel from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

The Amish Cowboy’s Homecoming by Ophelia London was a delightful read with so many feels. All Grace wants is to run her father’s family horse farm. She is good at what she does, but can she prove it to him? Then he hires Isaac as the new horse trainer. All he wants is to put down roots somewhere and raise his daughter. Though they do not see eye-to-eye, they definitely share a connection. But their belief’s in what roles are in their community do not help and yet they cannot avoid what they feel. I found their story sweet and charming.

Happy reading!

Ophelia London is such a wonderful author. I love how she creates this communities that I want to get to know. The Amish Cowboy’s Homecoming is the second book in the Honey Brook series, and it was just as wonderful as the first book! Each book can be read as a stand alone, but they are both wonderful!

In this one, we meet Grace, a horse trainer on her family’s horse farm , and Isaac, a widower coming to Grace’s farm to take the lead trainer position. I loved that Grace has a strong personality, and a bit of a non-traditional female role in an Amish community.

Isaac and Grace’s interactions are wonderful. They have a great chemistry that grows into a lovely relationship. I really liked that these stories bring the community in. We get to meet so many people and really see how they support each other.

Overall, this is a beautiful story with clean romance and Christian tones. If you enjoy Amish fiction, definitely add this to your TBR!

A different twist to an Amish romance. Grace loves working with horses, and when her dad is hired to tame and teach a Morgan horse she gets excited. However, her dad hires Isaac to work with her. Naturally she doesn’t want the help, but they end up as a good team. A few misunderstandings of course before the HEA, but still fun to read. Highly recommend this book and author.

Book 2 of the Honey Brook series features Grace. She has always been good at training horses and she grew up with her father teaching her. Now that she's grown, she wants to inherit her father's horse farm but Amish women aren't normally business owners. Her father hires Isaac, an Amish man from a nearby town to train a seemingly unable to be broken stallion. Grace wants to do it on her own and is very resentful of Isaac when her father makes them a team to train the new horse. As they work together, they become interested in each other...will they be able to overcome their differences and allow themselves to fall in love?

Grace was another strong woman in the Amish town that normally sees women as wives and mothers. She is strong in her beliefs but feels that she has the God-given talent to train horses and wants the opportunity to continue. Will Isaac accept having a strong woman or will he stick to the old fashioned ideas?
