This was a suspenseful and powerfully written novel. More then meets the eye when I started to read this. It was such a fantastic read and a long read but I didn’t quit because it was just that good. I wanted to turn the page; yet didnt, because each page turned would bring me closer to the end but made me want to see how Special Agent Jess Harris handled the absolute face of evil, The Player, without losing herself in the process. When everyone is watching you, you gotta watch your back at all times.

Chief of Police Dan Burnett leaves himself wide open for her to read his cards, no poker face here. He wants her back. He wants her and is just wondering if he has what is needed for this to be the perfect storm of events. Stop The Player and get the girl.

An incredible combination of suspenseful and spine tingling events leading to an incredible ending that makes me say “Holy Moses Batman, where is the next book???”
