A great crime novel telling the story of an attack on a pregnant woman. Lead detective Lucy is the main character and story intertwines with her history. Keeps you guessing until near the end and great easy read.

I have read several of Casey’s books and enjoyed them all and this is no exception. A fast paced storyline that gripped from the first page and didn’t let go, hence I read it in a day. The main character Lucy is very likeable and it will be interesting to see how further books pan out for her. I highly recommend this book and author.

A quick and easy read, the third to feature DC Lucy Murphy. Set in London, it's well written with good characterisation and an interesting plot. It sets off at a fast pace and never lets up until the end. Another good read from Casey Kelleher and one I would recommend. Looking forward to the follow up. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

There’s no going back. That’s very true. That’s why it’s important to think before you act, because once it’s done, it’s done and you will have to live with the consequences.
Sometimes you have the best intentions though and you are sure it will change everything for the better but what if the outcome is quite the opposite? Was it worth risking everything you had for? NO! But there’s no going back and you will have to work hard to crawl out of the deep pit you dug for yourself.
Detective Lucy Murphy and her team have to deal with a case that brings back a lot of bad memories for her. She is determined to put her personal feelings on the backburner and focus on catching the culprit, but thoughts keep whirling through her mind. Will she act on them or will she put them to rest, because there’s no going back. The past cannot be changed and some things are better left as they are. Maybe sometimes getting justice is not the most important thing?
I have loved every book in this series and I hope there will be a lot more to come. This one was maybe a bit less gritty, but my heart overflowed.
I had quite a few scenarios in my head about the outcome, but – I suppose you can guess what is coming next LOL – not one of them was the correct one. 😊
I never saw that coming and that’s what turns a great book into an amazing one. 5 stars

Thank you, Casey Kelleher and Bookouture

No Going Back…well that’s exactly the feeling I was left with when I picked up this book and started to read. Talk about an opening hook! Talk about impact! Talk about grabbing you and dragging you straight into those pages leaving you desperate to read just one more chapter before you go to sleep!
Casey Kelleher really knows how to entice her readers and keep them reading and in the 3rd in the DC Lucy Murphy series, she proves once again to be the queen of killer hooks! With child abduction and gritty gang life on the Griffin Estate, the shocks just keep coming.
Lucy is one of those characters who is just so perfectly captivating. From the beginning of this series she has drawn me into her world. The series feels more than a police procedural/gritty gangland thriller, there is a very real sense of a small but tight knit community of characters who create a world in which I easily find myself immersed: almost like a soap opera in pages.
As I read this series, I feel I’ve really got to know Lucy and it’s like I’m looking out for her as I read. She’s a survivor and she’s strong without being bitter and it’s her experience that gives her the connection with the people she comes across in her life.
Once again the storyline is cleverly thought out, with drama, tensions, twists and some heart stopping moments. Casey Kelleher really does know how to portray a sense of authenticity when it comes to her characters; not only do we have the dynamics between Lucy and her colleagues; she also shows us some of the real underbelly of society mixed with the gangs that are rife across our cities. Amongst it all there are also some real poignant and tender parts as Lucy’s past begins to rear its ugly head again and her gran’s dementia progresses.
You can read this as a standalone but you will miss out on so much of Lucy’s life and her past which drive her in everything that she does and it’s such a good series to read, that I would recommend you read them anyway!

So beware folks, pick up this book at bedtime and be prepared for no more sleep because once you open it up, there really is no going back!

Dc Lucy Murphy is facing her worst case yet as it is bringing the memory s back of her mum as she was murdered .someone is attacking pregnant women one has died .Ashley Cooke thinks all his dreams are coming true borrows money of the Boland brother s to put on a horse that he thinks will win but does not his wife Shelby has had enough she has only got a few weeks to go till she has the baby she decides enough is enough instead of calling a taxi she decides to walk as its only 5 min over common but someone is waiting for her and attacks her and a chain of events unfold one person is getting the blame. Whoop! Whoop! its always good news when you have a new Casey Kelleher on your TBR pile isn't it?! #NoGoingBack was blinking excellent! I started this at about 11.30 pm last night and I knew after the first 3 chapters that it was going to be a late one and by it was! Subsequently I'm using matchsticks to keep my scratchy eyelids open today, consider yourself warned peeps.

There's no messing about with #NoGoingBack as we jump straight in with an incident in Richmond Park on a dark night involving a young pregnant woman. The park is opposite the infamous Griffin housing estate where young mum to be Shelby Cooke now lives with her husband Ashley and she hates it. Living on the estate isn't what Shelby is used to, she's quite lonely and seems to only have one friend and that's mostly because Imelda is pregnant too.

As a new husband Ashley decided that he couldn't or wouldn't accept the generous offer made by his father in law of a deposit for a home in a better area, he wants to provide for his family himself. Now the way he chose to try to achieve this was a dead cert to fail and that failure set off a chain of events he had no control over.

A week later after yet another non argument (text and voicemail) with Ashley, she decides enough is enough and leaves his ass. Late at night Shelby forgoes a cab to her parents wheeling a suitcase through Richmond Park when she too is attacked but fighting off her attacker causes her to go into labour. As predicted Ashley true to form is nowhere to be seen when he's needed most, he's drinking and doing things that he maybe shouldn't.

Catching up with DC Lucy Murphy and her adorable nan Winnie was both delightful and heart breaking, The murder of her own mum when she was young meant Lucy was brought up by her nan and it's obvious that the two were close, seeing her drift in and out of lucidity must be so hard to watch. Winnie had me on tenterhooks on one or two occasions, I honestly thought she was going to tell us all! The fact that this case is somehow connected with Lucy's past is something that she struggles with, it's clear that it's crossing over into work and she knows her secret can't stay a secret for much longer.

Reading about Liza Fitzgerald the vicious murder and the attempt at womb raiding made me think of Lisa Marie Montgomery an American woman who on the 16/12/04 murdered and stole a baby from pregnant Bobbie Jo Stinnetts womb. Lisa event paid heaviest price being sentenced to death by lethal injection and was executed on 13/01/2021 at the Federal Correctional Complex, Terre Haute.

#NoGoingBack is the third book in this series and as always I suggest you read the others first for maximum enjoyment, obviously. The book never draws breath from the first page to the last, there's no let up in action and drama. We've been given a veritable cast of villains from the shadier side of life who could be responsible and as always I thought I knew the culprit, turn the page and I think it's somebody different.

Read for an honest review. Thanks to the author Casey kelleher, #Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC

Another stonker of a read. Casey Kelleher know how to write a book and keep readers entertained and enthralled.
Back with the wonderful Lucy Murphy. A character I've really grown to like over these books. This is book 3.
For me personally I would always say, these are best read in order, but that's just me. You'd get away with this being the first one you read.
A young woman is attacked on the estate where she lives, as she is pregnant the attack brings on premature labour.
It's down to Lucy and the team to piece together what has happened and if this attack on Shelby is linked to her family or a random attack.
The team are amazing at putting together their investigation and they soon have leads to follow.
What dark murky streets will the team be lead down? Will they be able to figure out this disturbing case.

The characters in this book are first class, as usual Casey Kelleher has delivered what we all want from a book, a damn good unputdownable page turner. A book you desperately want to finish, but you don't want it to end. I could have read more and more of this story and it's characters and never have gotten bored.
You are dragged into the world of these characters and live every bit of the story with them. The characters are brilliantly put together and the story line will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the book.
As always I look forward to seeing what is offered up for us next from this author.

This is the 3rd book in the Lucy Murphy series by #caseykeller .
What a book (series).... I think my kids were ready to call childline, as I was so engrossed in this book/series!! 😉

Lucy Murphy is a great down to earth character, so it’s easy to get into the storyline. A fantastic police officer, who actually shows that she cares for the people she tries to help. Even though she has her own things going on.

This is a gritty book and as soon as you finish it .... my first thought was “oh when is the next one out?!” Please tell me there will be more of Lucy ?! I think that says it all!!

I adore Casey's books and this one hasn't disappointed. This might even be my favourite of Casey's collection yet.
I adore DC Lucy Murphy, she is such a likeable character and one that you cannot help but like. As a reader I adore the journey we are going on with the character.
This is delightfully dark and Ms Kelleher has not failed to keep me on the edge of my seat, hold my breath and continuously devour page after page. I have been completely blindsided, there is absolutely no way I could've predicted this one.
This is a masterpiece which is high up on my favourite list. I have devoured this entire book in just one sitting. This is a highly anticipated book for me and one I got very excited to see revealed. I have absolutely adored this book from start to end.
I already cannot wait to see what else is in store for DC Lucy Murphy. I really hope more is coming and I know that the next book we get is going to be another absolutely wonderful read.

An absolutely great read from Casey Kelleher in the Lucy Murphy series and I read in almost one go and finished in my lunch break, what I enjoyed mostly was although it features the same characters, the storylines are completely different and gripping, there are a few red herrings in this one and while I figured out what the ending was, it didn’t take from the story, I do hope that there will be a few more Lucy Murphy books to look forward to. I got this as an arc so would like to thank the publishers and Netgalley for letting me have the book to read and would have no hesitation in buying this and more by the author.

There's no going back for Lucy.
This gritty page turner London crime read is top dog.
D.C. Lucy Murphy series book three.
Shelby and Ashley Cooke live on the run down griffin estate London, the daughter of Pete and Janey Baker a well known old face the couple are expecting their first child and Ashley wants to provide for his family without the help of the parents, Shelby hates where they live and Ashley is no angel and gets into big money problems.
Then within a week of each other pregnant Liza Fitzgerald gets knifed and murdered at Richmond park then eight months pregnant Shelby gets attacked on Wandworth common and manages to describe her attacker , this brings everything back for Lucy over twenty years ago history repeating itself and Operation Maple are called in.
this book gave me loads of goose bumps many times as I read, it's an unput downable book, that is so fast pace on what is going to happen next, gripping story lines that keep you on the edge of your seat, its all about trust, revenge, and payback. I loved every wholesome page and hope to get to read more from Lucy Murphy. The author has scored a winner here for her readers.

No Going Back is book three in the DC Lucy Murphy series by Casey Kelleher and for that reason, I'd really recommend you read the other two books first. Well, that and the fact that you are missing a great series if you don't. This time around we join Lucy and the team as they investigate a terrifying assault on a young pregnant woman, one which results in the victim going into premature labour. Given the victim's ... complicated family life, it's not clear if the attack is revenge or something more sinister, but with the assault bearing a stark similarity to another attack, the team cannot rule out the fact that this was targeted and the motive was something almost unspeakable. When the baby goes missing from the hospital, could it be that their worst fears have been realised? Well ... buy the book and find out. You won't regret it.

I'm really enjoying getting to know more about Lucy and her backstory with each new book. She has a very dark past, one which haunts her and which is brought to the fore as a result of this latest investigation. Only her DI knows the truth about what happened to Lucy and her mother, but it's hard to see how she can keep it from her colleagues for much longer as it really does impact her work this time around. Not so much that it stops her from doing what she does best in connecting with the victims and getting to the heart of the investigation, but it certainly shows up her vulnerabilities which is interesting to see being developed. There are a few other developments towards the end of the book which raise a smile too, and I'm curious to see where they may lead.

The tension is just right in this book, and Casey Kelleher maintains a kind of mystery about the whole investigation by bringing forth many lines of enquiry and several devious and nefarious suspects. It's fair to say that the victim's family are far from being whiter than white and that adds conflict as you never quite know what they may do in retribution. It's one of those strange books where you never really like the victim, or I didn't anyway, and the word spoilt could have been created for the mother, Shelby. But then you realise that, despite her faults and her attitude, she is a new mother and having her child taken and seeing her pain explored in the story, makes her far more sympathetic than she may otherwise have been. It takes a lot to soften those edges, but baby Riley really does seem to do it and the author has portrayed that bond between mother and child perfectly.

This is quite a gritty series, and the Griffin Estate, where Lucy gre up and where most of the wrong doings take place, really does feel authentic, a believable slice of London life. The setting puts you on edge and from the very opening chapter, which is creepy and nerve jangling, the pacing and the tension are pitch perfect, helping me power right through to the ending. I like the police team, especially Lucy, and it's great to see her continue to grow and settle into her role as Detective over the course of the three books. But I get the feeling that there is more to come, that some of the revelations from this book really do need to be explored further and I'm interested to see where the author might lead us next. Great stuff.

DC Lucy Murphy is back on the case when a pregnant woman is attacked but the attacker gets more than they bargained for as the victim fights back. This is a story that has you gripped and wanting to reach out and slap most of the characters.I love Casey Kellehers books as she gets you hooked and you really don't want to put this book down.Lucky that she fought back the victim gives birth to a little boy but after a night sleep she wakes to another horror her baby is missing. The police think this attack and another are linked and with the victims help get a perfect e-fit out there and hope someone can name him.Casy Kelleher has nailed it again with this edge of your seat book and if i could i would give more than 5*

This is the third book featuring DC Lucy Murphy and is the best so far.

A serious assault on the notorious Griffin Estate has DC Lucy Murphy called in to investigate. When a brutal murder is linked to the assault and a new born is abducted, Lucy and the team will have to keep their wits about them to get to the truth. As tempers boil over and threats are made, can they discover the whereabouts of the baby before it’s too late?

Fast paced and gritty, No Going Back is an excellent read from start to finish.

No Going Back is the last in the DC Lucy Murphy trilogy and my goodness is it a bliming corker!!! I have enjoyed this trilogy so much, you get the usual gangland, London crime, edge of your seat storyline that Casey is a GENIUS at but this particular story has something I have never read in any other book of her genre. Lucy's life story & her relationship with her Gran Winnie brings another edge to it which is one of the reasons I have fallen in love with these books. The story line in this particular book was hard to read at times & I was genuinely holding my breath by the end. I hold my glass of Pinot up to Casey for another AMAZING story!!!
