I got a digital galley copy of this book via NetGalley and really enjoyed reading the book.

What I liked about the book:

1. The book was easy to read with a clear structure that runs through the entire book.
2. The one idea that i am implementing in my life (that I learnt from the book) is the idea of taking the three positive takeaways from any given situation.
3. The author shares personal stories which illustrates the points that she is driving at the end of each chapter. This makes the author relatable and the concepts come alive.

What could have been different:
1. In my opinion, there were no new concepts or frameworks in the book. So, while the anecdotes brought the points alive, there were no new pointers.
2. Also, the interweaving of leadership and mentorship concepts at times made it a bit confusing.

However, overall, I think this is a good book to spend time with if you are a new manager and want to learn the ropes to becoming a good leader/mentor.
