This is a great book about father-daughter bonding and DIY projects that families can do together. I really loved this because I used to do DIY projects with my dad when I was little.

Our Shed teaches the art of building a shed - and building a relationship that lasts generations. The father/daughter bond is strengthened as they build, paint, fight dragons and dance their way through the story.

A lovely little book.

As a little girl I spent many hours building things with my dad, so this book just felt nostalgic. I loved it. It’s about a little girl who helps her dad build a shed, and how the project is passed onto the next generation. The illustrations are soft and match the story perfectly.

Our Shed is the perfect father/daughter book and would make a fantastic Father's Day gift from a grown daughter to her dad. Our Shed follows a dad and daughter through life working together on a shed. If you had a hands on dad like I did, I will bring back fond memories of working with your dad and just spending time with him. Once the daughter grows up she brings her son to continue the legacy of working together on a project. The illustrations and story flow easily and go well together. This is a children's picture book but it will make you want to reach out to your dad as an adult too.

A great story of how a father and daughter built a shed together. How they picked the colors, what it would be used for and how it was planned and finished together. The story reflects not only the building of the shed but the building of a relationship that last for generations.

A special thank you to Sasquatch Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

This is a nice book about family and father/daughter relationships. The illustrations were a little bland for my taste and the text a little dull - neither loved nor hated it. I would read it to my preschoolers but it wouldn't join a list of favorites.

What a darling story about a father and daughter bonding over a big project, building a shed. Their relationship is so genuine, it brought back memories of things my own father would teach me about measuring and completing projects. I love the ending, and how the daughter returns as an adult with her son to help give the shed a fresh coat of paint. The illustrations are lovely and showcase a healthy parent-child relationship where the father follows the child’s imaginative lead as they work on the project. A perfect gift for fathers and grandfathers to read with young children.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A story about a girl and her father and how they plan and put together a shed for their backyard.

This heartwarming tale is about a father and daughter spending quality time together building a shed in their back yard. The purpose of the shed is to store "the necessities of family life" such as bikes, lawnmowers, sleds and sprinklers, just to name a few. They are a perfect team as dad teaches the practical, hands-on elements of the project while his daughter splashes creativity everywhere making it whimsical, imaginative and fun.

Her dad takes time to include his daughter with the undertaking and in so doing she learns valuable building skills that later she passes on to her own son when they need to repair and give the worn face of the shed a new facelift.

The illustrations are wonderful and full of humour and expression which gives the story a lovely engaging flavour. I love stories that highlight the importance of strong family bonds that span into the next generation. I highly recommend this book.

I adore this book! A sweet story about a father teaching his daughter how to build a shed and the memories they create that carry forward into the next generation. The story was simple, with practical advice and a touch of whimsy at times that it will appeal to young audiences.

I remember watching and helping my own father build things when I was younger and reading this gave my heart a huge hug thinking back on these memories. A perfect father-daughter read and I would highly recommend this one!

Oh my goodness, what a sweet story of family relationships. A father and daughter build a shed together and make lasting memories. The shed allows for connection, skills and fun. The story demonstrates a beautiful father daughter relationship that moves into an intergenerational story. This would be a great partner book with Mae Respicio's "The House That Lou Built."

Our Shed is a cute, beautifully illustrated story of a father-daughter relationship and the wonderful memory they make together building it and how they pass that tradition and memory down to future generations. This would be a lovely book to read for any type of story time or setting. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book! (This book is also on GoodReads.)

The daddy's girl in me absolutely loved this book and it brought me back to my childhood of helping my dad build things outside. I don't remember him letting me choose paint colors, putting flower wreaths in his hair, or having picnics, but the rest of it was my childhood. Great story. Hopefully many kids can relate.

This is the story of a little girl and her father who follow all the steps to build a shed, with a little help from their imaginations along the way. The story is accessible for young readers to listen to, with clear pictures illustrating all of the steps they take. This is an excellent story for preschoolers or kindergarteners which are interested or learning about building, architecture, or measurement. It’s also wonderful to see girls working alongside their dads to build and construct.

I love the father/daughter relationship in this book. With each other's pleasant company, father and daughter run errands before and during the work of building a shed and have fun breaks together. They take time to play and eat their favorite foods during those breaks. After all is finished, the shed, slightly crooked, but well loved throughout the years, stands the test of time all the way until the next generation.

This story is adorable! I loved the artwork and the sweet story of this little girl building a shed with her father. I really enjoyed the multigenerational aspect as well, which really elevated it and made it more emotional for me! My daughter really loved the story as well. Great read!

I love this book! As a daughter who has helped her dad on many DIY projects, even now in my adulthood, I resonated with this story so much. The way the father and daughter interact, as well as how this book blends pretend and real life is just so lovely. I think many people will find this book to be a tender hug and a fun story.
