Way too many people with POVs, way too much information, really felt like I was dumped mid-story into a world I should know all about - which thus didn't lead to an enjoyable reading experience. The writing itself was also rather cringe-worthy in that it seemed to be trying too hard to be funny and witty. Ended up being a huge fail for me, sadly

It's My Party: A Royal Romantic Comedy (Seven Brides for Seven Mothers Book 3) by Whitney Dineen
Publisher: Whitney Dineen
Genre: General Fiction (Adult) | Humor | Women's Fiction
Publication Date: March 16, 2021

It's My Party: A Royal Romantic Comedy is the third book in the Seven Brides for Seven Mothers series by Whitney Dineen is a cute romantic comedy. This is the second book I've read in the series and found it could easily be read as a standalone book.

This was a sweet romance with great characters and a wonderful storyline. I loved how there was suspense built in story to keep you wondering how things will turn out.

I'm so grateful to Whitney Dineen and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

That one is a big No-no, it made me cringe so hard, i tried to look for anything positive to write about it and i found none.
The story was so lame and tacky, the dialogues were fit for children's books, also, why so many characters, that was really tiring to keep up with, it's not like they say substantial information..
I didn't like the lead couple, like, at all, they were both worse than a teenager experiencing his first crush and don't know what to do.

Again I've no time for reading a book when I already hate one of the main character. I hated Claire already. And I've only read 5% of it. Make the character likable at least. Claire here was constantly whining about how she wasn't a famous person like song-writer her mother, her singer aunt or rockstar brother. Then her mother said something which weirded me out. I might vomit. There's so many people's POV already which was a bit annoying. I didn't read the first two books. And this author is new to me. Didn't like her writing style. It's hard to get into with so many POV. Okay, I'm outta here. Feel free to read this book if you want.

This is the third book in the series, and I feel you have to read them all in order to understand the situations that are happening with the side characters (ie: the matchmakers). I really enjoyed the first two books about the brothers and the mom's working on finding them wives. This one I was worried about since it's starting with the hotel staff, and nope it was a winner too. I LOVE what Geoffrey is (can't spoil it but it's one of my favorite tropes!), and Claire is a strong woman who wants to be loved for who she is and not who her family is.

Another fun read, I think this whole series so far is perfect to take on a vacation/ read this summer. They are fun fast reads that leave you with the HEA feelings.

I was given a copy for my honest opinion through NetGalley.

3.5 stars truly. It was a fun storyline but I wanted more at the end. I loved the characters but parts of the book were a bit odd for me. It was a good quick and fun read.

This laugh out loud funny book is very good. I read it all in one day and let me tell you this has not happened to me in quite some time when it comes to romantic comedy books.

Very well done.

3.5 stars
While this book is the third in this series, but it can be read as a stand-alone.
This book follows party planner Claire Choate and executive chef Geoffrey Bere. Claire Choate finds her boyfriend/boss cheating on her with another woman. After visiting Oregon for her brother's wedding, she decides to move out of LA and start fresh in Oregon.
Geoffrey Bere, is not willing to date anymore coworkers after a past entanglement, but he might be willing to change his policy when Claire Choate starting working with him. Will Claire and Geoffrey be able to set aside their fears and reservations in order to give into the chemistry simmering under the surface?
This book had a great premise and while I had not read the first two books in this series, I wanted to read this one. The characters were so engaging, especially Ruby and Sharon! Claire and Geoffrey were a little annoying at times. They allowed others and circumstances to drive them to make decisions rather than do what they really wanted. The pacing dragged in places throughout this book. The last 20% of the book was the best part of the book. The royal family was so much fun! Overall, I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the other books within this series as well as by this author!

Cute and filled with fun dialogue! If you want an easy escape complete with laughs, rule breaking, and matchmaking, consider "It's My Party."

A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the third in a series, I have not read the others. This book reads well as a stand alone. I found the book a mite overwhelming (overrun with characters) maybe reading the others in the series would help with this. Claire and Geoffrey are the two main characters. I loved her mom Sharon and Ruby the owner of the Inn. Matchmakers who are so obvious that the matchees (is that a word?) decide to play along and then you know the rest. It is a fun book and has humor. Pleasant to read. I think most romance readers would get a kick out of it. A few surprises. 3.5 stars

I received this novel as an advanced reader copy from NetGalley. Claire and Geoff’s Romance follows many of the fun romantic plots of humorous misunderstandings and obstacles. I especially liked the ending. A fun, quick, enjoyable read.

I think this chick lit/romantic comedy will appeal to those looking for a fun storyline with little to no heat. Claire is an events planner from a music royalty family - her aunt is a famous country western singer, her mom writes her aunt's songs, and her brother is a rock star. Geoffrey is actual royalty from a small European country, who has been taking a hiatus from royal life by working as a chef at the Oregon resort where Claire comes to work after she catches her boyfriend/boss cheating on her. Claire, of course, doesn't know Geoffrey's background, and Geoffrey doesn't want to start anything because he's about to turn 30 and will be obligated to move back home. However, the attraction between them will not be denied.

The book had a lighthearted tone, especially the episodes in which Claire and the staff start arranging speed dating events for the community. However, I felt no connection to and between Claire and Geoffrey. Maybe the issue was the utter lack of heat between them? There was lots of telling that they were attracted to each other, but very little showing. They spent much of their time not communicating and staying apart from each other to fight their attraction. Did they even kiss until close to the end of the book? This seemed excessively closed door for a supposed romance, although admittedly, since the story didn't hold my interest, I skimmed a bit and maybe I missed it.

My other problem was that the opening scene in each chapter was from the POV of either Claire's matchmaking mama, Geoffrey's matchmaking mama, or the matchmaking resort owner. Although these scenes were cute, they kept throwing me out of the story and the POV shift in every chapter was jarring. Also, I know it was being played for laughs, but Claire's mom sometimes seemed almost a caricature of a country music writer. I think if you go into this book expecting it to be chick lit and not romance, you will probably enjoy it more.

Continuing with Ruby and her matchmaking skills, this installment is not quite as good as her previous ones. Still a good contemporary romance but I found myself not as interested in the characters as previous stories. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

This is such a fun book that I'm really happy I picked it up. It is a fast read with hilarious characters and funny interactions. The way the story switches between the POVs, makes it effortless to just keep reading.
I had a blast!

I really wanted to love this book, the blurb seemed like it would be right up my alley, but unfortunately not.

Claire is fresh off a break up with someone who cheated on her. She's moved to Oregon for a fresh start, only to find herself falling for a Chef who seems to be holding something back. Geoffrey is a chef who doesn't want to start something new, he's leaving the country soon due to familial obligations (Being coworkers is not the reason he's afraid to date Claire, like the blurb says).

Let's start with the things I did like:
- I enjoyed Geoffrey's perspective a lot.
-I enjoyed the last like 20% where they were kind of together, the ending is what saved this book.

And now for the things that I didn't like so much (there may be slight spoilers here):
- There was a lot of telling in this book, almost all of the exposition was just the characters stating facts.
- This book was trying really hard to be funny, but it felt like watching a sitcom without the laugh track.
- All of the characters except the main two, seemed more like caricatures than actual people.
- The songs that Sharon comes up with seem like things that someone who hasn't actually listened to country music in the last 25 years would think was country music.
- Geoffrey and Claire behave like children. They have no communication skills and instead just snipe at each other like siblings.

I'm giving this 3 Stars, because like I said, the ending of this book did save it. The attempts at being funny went away, the main characters learned to communicate, and I enjoyed the last part of this book.

*Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this eARC

A great read, the latest in this series.
This time Ruby is trying to matchmake chef Geoffrey with new hire Claire, and has Claire's mum helping her with her plans.
But Geoffrey is keeping a big secret that will lead to him leaving town very soon, so do they have a chance together?

Looking forward to the next book in this series!
