It's always hard to review thriller/mystery type stories without giving things away, so I feel the need to keep things vague.

I will say that this story had a great blend of predictable and unexpected; enough of both to keep you entertained and continuing for 'just one more chapter'. There was so much motive and planning and backstory and all sorts of variables to keep track of and keep you on your toes. I really enjoyed watching the story unfold and follow along to see just how things progressed as well as stress when other things were close to being revealed to additional characters in the story. Despite guessing part of the story, I never could guess just how the whole thing would wrap up and I *really* like the ending we were given and how it manages to be full of possibilities, too.

I can say I did not see that coming. We start off hearing from the murdered girl. “My name is Lizzie Ouellette and if you’re reading this, I am already dead.” This is the best first line I’ve read in a long time.

The book is a discussion on some weighty topics while keeping the suspense/thriller vibe going. It did wane for me in the middle, but all together it was a solid read.

This one started out way too gory and gross for me. DNF. Find pieces of a woman in the sink is just not something I want to read about in my free time.

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! I love jaw dropping twists and this one has me yelling out loud! I alternated between the book and the audiobook and I loved the narrator for Lizzie.
I loved how the story progressed and how the pieces unraveled a little at a time rather than a dump at the very end.
I’m really looking forward to her next book!

Fantastic thriller. The story begins with the mutilated corpse of a local woman found and her husband missing. So many clues to put together. A rich out of town couple that rented a house from the deceased is of interest as they appear to be possibly involved but nothing is what it appears to be.

Kat Rosenfield's NO ONE WILL MISS HER had twist upon twist that had me wondering at each turn. The story was interesting, unexpected, and completely enjoyable (if a bit gory in the beginning). I listened to the audiobook, which took me a bit longer, as I couldn't listen when the kids were around and wasn't alone the majority of the time I could listen.
The narrator did a great job of distinguishing between the characters and I could visualize when she changed points of view.
Highly enjoyable and twisty that kept me intrigued from beginning until end.
Thanks to the publisher for the opportunity to listen to an advanced copy of the book. All opinions are my own and freely given.

After I finished this book, I gave myself some time to think on both the story and my feelings. My feelings were all over the place! Let’s start with with story. This story had lots of twists and turns. Some unexpected and some I saw coming. The whole story had a dark vibe to it. Which I really liked. The characters are not very likable. Which wasn’t a bad thing. I did have trouble believing some of the actions and scenes that played out. Especially for the main character. It just wasn’t realistic. Yes, I know this story is fiction. Read the story to know what I mean! I think that’s why my feelings were all over the place. While I enjoyed the story, those twists made me feel some type of way. The story is well written. Very detailed. I really liked that ending though!

Over all, this is a pretty entertaining read with lots of twists. This is a new to me author and I look forward to reading another book from her. I give this 3 stars.

I loved the unique premise of this psychological thriller about a girl from a small town meeting a gorgeous Instagram influence. This was a clever plot that centered on poor Lizzie the junkyard girl no one seemed to like, her loser missing husband that everyone seemed to like and a billionaire couple Adrienne & Ethan Richards who were the renters at Lizzie’s lake house. Can’t give too much more away without spoiling the plot but there were some good twists and turns in this murder investigation.

I greatly enjoyed this one! It took me a minutes to figure out where the author was going at first, but once I got into the meat of the book, I absolutely loved it!

"My name is Lizzie Ouellette, and if you're reading this, I'm already dead." What a great opening sentence! It sets the stage for a thriller that sucked me in and kept me turning pages to try and figure out what was going on. I was drawn into the rural Maine town of Copper Falls by a string of characters who kept me guessing what they were up to. There were characters to root for and nasty ones I hoped would get their comeuppance.

Lizzie Ouellette is found dead in the cabin she rents to tourists. Enter Ian Bird, a homicide detective from the state police. It is his task to solve the murder and the suspect pool is narrow: where is Lizzie's husband, Dwayne? Bird's investigation broadens to include renters who may have been among the last to see Lizzie alive, socialite and social media influencer Adrienne Richards and her disgraced billionaire financier husband. The more Bird looks into the couple, the more he finds that the relationship between them and Lizzie and her husband was more than that of renter/tenant.

Told from multiple POV, the story switches perspective in this character-driven novel. Yes, it is a thriller with a terrific twist, but it's also a great murder mystery and police procedural. It is fast-paced and the writing is excellent. It has all of the ingredients to be a hit with those who love this type of book. Count me among them.

When Lizzie Oullette is found murdered and her husband is missing. Detective Ian Bird is called to investigate. When it comes to light that instagram famous Adrienne and Lizzie were best friends, things get more interesting. Were they as close as they seemed? If Adrienne's life was so grand, why did she keep renting a rundown cabin in rural Maine?

This thriller has SO MANY QUESTIONS. I like the discovery part, learning about each of the characters. Why they reacted or didn't react, what their true motive were and why they decided to do what they did. There is a big twist moment, that was a little off for me, but all in all a good thriller to read in between deeper books.

3.5 rounded up

No One Will Miss Her is a great thriller set in a small, rural town and delves into how what identities people label each other and themselves and what that costs. I think it's a perfect companion to The Luckiest Girl alive!

No One Will Miss Her by Kat Rosenfield is perfect 'spooky season' reading. This suspenseful story is best enjoyed with little knowledge about its plot so avoid spoilers!

Note: I have a very low tolerance for gruesome details and struggled with the first chapter, but was fine after that.

This novel centers around two couples with very different lifestyles. Lizzie and Dwayne, lifelong residents of Copper Falls, a small Maine town wallowing in economic depression, struggle to make ends meet. Ethan, a disgraced Boston billionaire, and his Instagram influencer wife Adrienne occasionally rent Lizzie's Airbnb-type lake house to escape public scrutiny. When a grisly murder is discovered, Maine State Police Detective Ian Bird investigates the ways the couple's lives are intertwined.

Many thanks to Harper Audio and NetGalley for the review copy of the audiobook.

“People see what they want to see,” could be the overarching theme of Kat Rosenfield’s No One Will Miss Her. When a mutilated body is found in a small Maine town, all assume that it must be that of Lizzie Ouellette, a pariah in the community. Her husband is the obvious suspect since he is unaccounted for. State Trooper Ian Bird is dispatched to gather evidence and lead the search for the missing culprit. What he discovers runs deeper than a standard “open and shut” case. More bodies are found that are linked to two couples of vastly different social standing. Rosenfield uses this familiar frame to explore identity and the irreversible judgements people make when someone is labelled. The book presents the downfall of being constantly observed and scrutinized, versus being invisible and disregarded. It also touches on themes of stereotypes, loneliness and self-protection through embraced callousness. No One Will Miss Her is an unpredictable and twisty mystery that requires a good amount of suspension of disbelief. When the author veers away from plausibility, it can be excused due to the fascinating puzzle it presents.

Thanks to the author, William Morrow and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

Lizzie Oullette was an outcast in her small Maine community of Copper Falls. Not only did Lizzie grow up at the town dump that her dad owned, but many in town believe that she ruined her husband's life when they got married young. Lizzie always had bigger dreams and renting out their lake home was going to help her reach her dreams. Until one fall morning, Lizzie's body is found at the lake house and Dwayne is nowhere to be found. Detective Ian Bird doesn't care about Lizzie's history with the town, he just wants to find out what happened to Lizzie. His investigation takes him to the city and to the most recent guest at Lizzie's lake house. Adrienne Richards and her husband, Ethan, are infamous for their own reasons, but what role did they have in the death of Lizzie Oullette? And where is Dwayne?

No One Will Miss Her was one of those fast-paced novels with so many shocking twists I nearly dropped my Kindle. The perception around Copper Falls was that Lizzie was trash and nothing but trouble. The reality is, Lizzie is just a soft-hearted animal lover that always had dreams bigger than Copper Falls. Adrienne Richards is a bored, rich housewife who has been exiled by society because of her husband's wrongdoings. She looks for entertainment in the cruelest of ways. The book is told from different perspectives with a series of flashbacks, but it paints a very clear, shocking picture. Things were not as they appeared. CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS. I have to be very careful with saying more because I don't want to spoil the twist for you, but it was one that I didn't see coming.

Bottom Line - Kat Rosenfield did what very little authors can do these days - shock me. No One Will Miss Her is a thrill ride from start to finish. And Kat Rosenfield is a fresh voice to me in a genre that has been desperate for something fresh. I can't wait to see what she does next.

There are lots of modern thrillers out there right now with some definite soap-opera-esque moments, but this one takes the cake. More than anything, I just couldn't get past the silly events that lead up to the big twist. It isn't possible, probable, or logical in any way, shape or form. If you're someone who doesn't mind that type of thing, this isn't a bad story, but I wasn't expecting fantasy and was disappointed.

Lizzie Oullette has never been accepted in her own community and now she is dead. Her husband Dwayne is missing. No one in town would really blame him for getting rid of Lizzie, considering her background.

Adrienne Richards is preparing her escape. Her husband has always brought her trouble. She is always cleaning up his messes.

Kat Rosenfield wrote a well-paced thriller with twists and turns keeping the reader on their toes. She proves that most people only see what they want to see.

A compelling psychological thriller that you won't be able to put down!

Lizzie Roulette tells her story from the grave. After a junkyard burns down and she is discovered brutally murdered, all eyes fall on her husband Dwayne, who is missing. As the investigation is underway we see what a tangled web her life was - nothing is as it seems.

Though I did predict the big twist, I never the less enjoyed this clever thriller filled with deception. Go in blind - the less you know, the better!

Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for the arc.

I would like to thank Net Galley for an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest feedback. I thought the writing was good and the story flowed well. I think the author has a way with words and setting a scene. I just did not like the plot line of this story. I understand how bitter you can feel when it seems like everyone has it in for you like they did for Lizzie and I thought Duane was a jerk, but just the whole plot line involving Lizzie made me uncomfortable. I guess because she was painted as a victim, I believed she was. I do not want to give the story away, so I will leave it at that. I did finish the book and I am glad I finished it. I just didn’t enjoy everything about this book.
