Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I love MC books and I wish I had read book 1 but that did not stop me from loving this book as well! I cannot wait to dive into more from this author

This is the second book in this series by this author. This story follows the characters Melissa and Danny, these two characters have explosive and intense chemistry from the start. This story is filled with lots of twists and turns, secrets, plenty of steamy moments and will keep you on the edge of your seat. You won't want to put this book down till the very last page. This is an amazing addition to this series by this author. This book believe it or not is better than the first, which I couldn't think was possible as the first was such an amazing and gripping read.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review

This is the second book in this series , but you can read as a stand-alone, you aren’t missing anything vital from the first. The book follows the same pattern as the first book a strong, smart heroine with a past, an alpha-male, great chemistry, a touch of enemies to lovers going on, overall an easy enjoyable read

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

The second book in the Made series follows the main characters Melissa (Lissa) and Danny. Lissa and Danny have a one-night stand that result in a surprise baby. When Danny learns this, he arranges to marry Lissa even though she is from a rival gang.
The book follows the same formula as the first book in the series with Lissa being a strong, smart heroine with a vrry dark past, an alpha-male, instant chemistry, some enemies to lovers vibes mixed with funny moments.
Unfortunately, I didn't like the writing style very much and I didn't really connect with the characters.

Unfortunately this book wasn’t for me.
I was expecting an exciting dark romance and instead it felt clique and tropey and didn’t deliver the romance I was wanting.

Ive been waiting for book 2 to come out and omg this didn’t disappoint had me hooked from the beginning , Lissa, such a bada$$, as they say never judge a book by its cover ! Once I started I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting . Love Danny boy and him and Lissa match to a tee. Again carnage and mayhem love it now trying to wait patiently for book 3 !

I received this arc for an honest review.
The second book in this series and I was even more impressed and surprised by the female character than I was with the first book. When the book opens you think that Danny Gallagher is the bad guy and he is in his own way, but he has nothing over the woman that he wants. That woman Melissia Harding throws him and us the reader for a loop from page to page. Her story is out of this world and Danny does not know who to respond to at first. Each day he finds more about her and her past, which upsets him but there is nothing he can do about anything she tells him for all of it has already been taken care of, by her.
That is what makes this story surprising about Melissia and how strong she has become because of them. If you read the first there are characters from that one as well as Holly and her marriage. There is so much going on in this story that you will not be disappointed if you like action with good strong characters.

I really enjoyed this sequel. Lissa and Daniel's story had me hooked from page one. I honestly didn't care for the trashy family scenes. I swear it was like reading a scripted Jerry Springer episode. Once I got past those parts, the main story played out and I was more interested in their relationship.

Danny was a mafia boss. He first saw Melissa or Lis in his club and was drawn to her since then. They had a one night stand only to discover she's the daughter of the mafia boss he hated. After a few months later when he saw her, he learned that she's pregnant with his child. Soon they got married. The more he got to know his wife, he discovered that his wife was not how she seemed. There's so much more layer to her and darkness which matched his own. A match made in hell. Both of them fell in love. They actually sticked together when the trouble follows because of being in the mafia lifestyle despite their differences in opinions.

To Whom This May Concern:

I would first like to say that this is the second book where it seems all the couple’s plot are interconnected. This book is in the Made series. Also, this is the first time I’m reading a product of Brooke Summers. I have not read any of the other books in this series and was still able to comprehend the majority of the plot line without prior knowledge from the other books.

The couple in this book is Melissa Harding and Danny Gallagher. I describe this couple as one that is unable to communicate. The author wrote this book like it is a transcript for a show with only dialogue and not enough fillers to make it interesting. Their love towards each other is toxic and not in the good way with no redemption. All the characters seems to have anger issues with violence and profanity as an outlet for them. In one paragraph, the f word is written three times. A good story doesn’t need to include that many profanities. It was excessive to the point where it hinders the entire book.

In this book, Melissa is pregnant and thrown into Danny’s family dynamic which is different compared to her own. The author brought up different conflicts that could’ve been addressed better. I understand that this is fiction, but it was hard to even believe what the author was writing about. This book is written from multiple point of views, which includes characters from outside the couple.

The “romance” scene wasn’t very steamy. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes themselves. There was only two scenes that was explicit, but short. There was dialogue between the characters, but it was rushed. Danny touched Melissa and she orgasmed. How skilled is he truly then? There was suggestions throughout the book that they had sex, but no other scenes that was detailed.

The ending of the book tied the book together and the character’s conflicts were address.

With that being said, I give the second book in this series a 1 out of 5. The book is not meant for adult readers, but teenagers trying to get into the romance genre.

With thanks.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

After devouring the previous book, I was really excited to dive into Unexpected Union. If you've read the first book, you would know what happened between Danny and Lissa. So diving into this book shouldn't be that much of a surprise.. in the beginning.

Now these two were cute and I loved how fiercely protective they were of one another. Lissa also proved that she's her only mini bad ass. Still love Kenna a bit more though. I was just really happy that she could hold her own. Even if her entire family is full of a bunch of assholes that deserve good slaps or punches every second of the day.

Just wow. I don't want to go into that deep dark hole because I will never see the light of day again.

Besides the romance and drama, there wasn't that much action. The first book definitely had a lot more and I think the flow was better than this one. It just felt chunky to me because I feel like I was missing some key points in certain areas. We just kind of jumped from one thing to another with little to none transition.

In the end, I still enjoyed this one and I'm super excited to dive into Holly's book next. I want to see her break out of her little shell so freaking badly.

I did not realize this was book 2 in the series when I applied for it. That being said, you are not lost at all. Everything is perfectly laid out and very easy to follow.
Melissa or Lissa as she likes to be called is so good, I love a true BA female lead. She lets her walls down to the sexy Danny one night and that is all it takes for him to be hooked. Little did Lissa know, that one night would end up changing her life forever. With walls built so high there was no way anyone was getting inside, not even Danny Gallagher, head of the Irish mob.
This is a cleverly written story. There is not long played out wait to find out Melissa is pregnant, it is right there within the first few chapters. There is no angst-filled wait to see if they can make it work, you get the gist right away. What you are not aware of is the power Melissa holds. She is a take-no-crap from any one type of girl. She will take you out or down within seconds, no matter who you are. The chemistry is there and you can feel the respect given by both leads. Danny sees Melissa's strengths and Melissa sees Danny's weaknesses and they balance each other out.
I love that this author gives these women in her books powerful roles and men who can accept those roles. I really enjoyed this story so much. There are triggers and some may not be able to deal with the secrets that come to the surface when Lissa, tells Danny the truth. Be warned! It is not a pretty picture that is painted but so perfectly written.
I am 100% vested in this series and can not wait for the next installment!

Danny Gallagher and Melissa Harding both belong to the same world. But in two very different families. They are enemies. Unfortunately they find it out after having sex. The night their attraction exploded.
Now, Melissa is pregnant. And they are getting married.
I was surprised by a lot of events throughout the book. There isn't a moment of tranquility for this couple. But if you think Danny was tough as he is the head of the Irish Mafia in UK, prepare yourself to be shocked by Melissa!
I love Mafia books, so obviously I enjoyed reading this one. Although the pace is a bit slower in some moments.

[After loving and devouring book one, I was so excited to jump into this book. While Lis is no McKenna she’s still a badass in her own right and I do love me a strong female character. A hacker and the mastermind behind The Agency, a hitman organization made me so happy and Lis the perfect ying to Danny’s yang. While she may not have the blood of the mafia organization she fits right in and takes no shit from anyone, even her new husband. I was a bit shocked by all the family drama they both had going on. Luckily their fathers were decent men but their mothers (and her sisters) were out of control completely. Almost wish they were ‘dealt’ with if you catch my drift, they were the type of ppl that would never stop being cruel, never learn from their mistakes. And I was almost sure at one point Danny’s mom was the one who put the hit out on him. Luckily that was not the case but still....
Now I have a lot of real life issues going on that I tried to forget about by reading so maybe that’s why there was a bit of a disconnect for me. There were times I really felt like I missed so much or certain scenes were glossed over completely. Add in a few time jumps and I felt a bit discombobulated. Either way I really did enjoy the book and can’t wait for whatever is next in the series. These men in particular may be completely anti love and emotion but all it takes is the right woman thrown in their way to light their world ablaze and I’m living for it.

We are back with an all-new explosive Irish Mafia romance! *BOOM*

I am addicted to Brooke’s writing. You guys, seriously, I don’t know who lives up in her brain, but I like them! I didn’t think she could top the chemistry she created with Mackenna and Dante in Bloody Union, but I was very wrong! Once again, she delivered two alpha leads that were perfectly matched. It was exhilarating reading their story. I was on the edge people, literally! Like sit-up back-straight pay-attention edge. I’m kinda still recovering LOL

Everything, from the dialogue to the secondary characters felt incendiary to me. There’s a spark to this story that just keeps you edgy and glued to the story. It’s amazing! Of course, we’re dealing with mafia families so the drama is explosive and twisty! MY FAVORITE! I have loved every word that Brooke has written thus far and I continue to look forward to reading much more from her in the future!

Loved this book!!! After reading Bloody Union (first book ) I couldn't wait to get to this book. It was like I stepped out of the first book right into this one. Lis (Melissa , but don't call her that) is a kicka@@ heroine that had rise above some harsh times. She had demons as did Danny but together they could slay anything. I didn't think I would like another heroine like I did Kenna (cause she is also bada@@) but Lis is right there with her. They are so different but so alike. There are some dark points in this story but they are written well. If you're looking for a good paced mafia book this series is a great one to read. I want to thank Kiki Chatfield and Netgalley for the ARC !! I can't wait for the next one!!

Nothing is as it appears on the outside. After one night of letting loose, Melissa Harding’s life will take a turn, and nothing will be as she had planned.

Melissa Harding has secrets that she would rather never come to light, some are too hard to talk about and others could put her in a dark light in the eyes of others. She’s been taking care of herself for a long time and her life is not what it appears on the outside. She doesn’t let anyone in, and she has no plans to change that now.

Danny Gallagher has seen the beautiful Melissa many times in his bar now and tonight will be the night that he will convince her to give him one night. He’s a powerful man and he may not know who Melissa is, but she definitely knows who Danny Gallagher is.

I am loving The Made Series! Not only are the men powerful, dangerous and sexy, but the women can give them a run for their money. Great characters, awesome plot and wonderful twists and turns keep the pages turning and burning up while reading. Not your typical Mafia story at all. The Gallagher family is powerful and has not had the best of records in marriages, but perhaps the next generation of family members can change the path. Melissa and Danny are made for each other and they are both determined to protect the other, at all costs. I love their story and I have a lady crush on Melissa. I give this story a 5-star review and want to state that I am so ready for Fragile Union. I have a feeling that there are secrets to be let loose in Holly and Romero’s story as well, that no one is expecting.

Really enjoyed this book, loved the strong female lead character and the dynamic between her and the male lead. Look forward to the others in the series.

3 ★★★

~Melissa Harding & Danny Gallagher~

Another strong woman in the house, ladies and gents.
Meet Melissa "Lissa" Gallagher (nee Harding). Girl does she has the power... In the first book, I was awed by Makenna. Here, I was blindsided by Lissa. After what she had been through, she showed that women are strong.
I loved Danny. He was very protective of Lissa and their baby but at the same time, he also let Lissa reign beside him.
Their relationship's development was swift, the same as their changing feelings. Danny showed Lissa that she deserved to be loved and she was safe.
I was also happy to see a bit of Makenna & Dante and how happy they were.

Can't wait for Romero's story!

This book was amazing! I read the first book in the series so I was happy to see that this one also had a female main character that didn’t take anything from anyone. Melissa provided a different aspect of the tough women theme in this series. This book follows Melissa and Danny’s relationship and their lows and highs.
Brooke Summers left me in aww once again with this book.
